So me and my friends picked up another KE70. Thought I'd make a thread. Plans are to throw all the gear from the beige car into this and get it on the road so that means; - Standard Blacktop 20v with Sam Q water kit and velocity stacks. Also has SP Tec dizzy relocation kit. Running standard ECU. - Ebay spec alloy radiator with standard AE111 thermo mounted - W55 and my short shifter - Button clutch - T18 T series - 1L surge tank - Bosch 070 - VDO VL lift pump I've already thrown the suspension and brakes from the beige car into it so that's - BC coilovers up front, 8kg springs - AE86 hubs - ADM AE86 brakes (Cheers again Rian) - AE86 PS knuckles …

Just though I would make this thread to share my car with everyone. A couple of months ago I purchased my first car after searching for a while. It seems to be a very honest car with minimal rust and a few modifications. I plan to keep the car as a daily for now and just tidy it up a bit, maybe lower the back a little and add a few of my own touches to the car. So, the specs Engine 4A-C backed by a t50, mild cam, mild head work, re jetted carby, extractors and 2inch exhaust, extreme clutch, short shifter Suspension low king springs all round, short stroke shocks, whiteline front and rear sway bars and adjustable panhard, front strut brace, cusco castor bra…

Hi, I would like to present my rolla which is my sort of obsession :-) Its now twincharged and I think it is very near its complete state (which I am not sure what is exactly :-)) - Let me tell you my story. All started in 2008 when i was desperately looking for something with 4age engine. This E8 appeared on the marked and on the every next day I made a deal with its owner. It was a bit rusty but the engine was in great condition, car was light and nimble, had this smell of old inside :-) it was just great. I will post pics in separate posts of different stages that the car went through since than. This is how it was on the beginning:

Hi All, New to this forum, but some might know me from TOCA, and I would like to share what I've done to my Corolla :) This is my Silver 1999 Toyota Corolla AE112R Conquest. Bought her stock, besides the weird looking rims that the previous owner had. Then couple months after I had her, I decided to get an exhaust. worst one ive had so far. So doggy and ugly. Then I changed it about 2 months ago. These are the only photos I had at the time. After almost a year of having her, she now has; JIC Magic Coilovers FLT-TAR 7/5 KG Koya AE-TEK 15x8 +15 Matt Black Corolla Sportivo Rims AE112 Levin Front Lip AE112 Sportivo Spoiler Risers 2" Cat-Back E…

Ok so I have a bit of spare time off over xmas/new year so going to finally take the KE55 off the road and start ripping in to the motor and starting the rebuild. I have a spare 4k that I am going to be swaping out the original motor for while I work on it just in case I need to use the rolla to get around. This build is going to be a bit drawn out (simply due to lack of time and low budget), but I need to get most of the major internal mods done to the motor asap as we are losing our company cars not long into the new year which means the rolla will be my daily driver. To help keep costs down, and because I love doing it, I am going to be doing most of the work …

A 1983 silver flat front ke70 that was given to our family for my sister and i to learn how to drive. So far i have fitted a set of autometre gauges (coolant temp, oil pressure and a tacho), Fuel cell and holly blue fuel pump, upgraded fuel lines to handle efi later... maybe, twin 45mm DCOE webber carbies, electronic egnition upgrade, CIG locked diff, TRD adjustable rear shocks, OXY springs, Ebay special hydraulic E-brake (yet to be plumbed up) Pictures to foll…

finally got me hot little hands on a ke11 6/70 ami built model. I don't know a great deal about these cars, but this was a good score, and ive always wanted one. Starter motor is shagged so i have replaced it the sarvo and got her running. it has a warm 3k with k40 4 spd and jap diff. Has had front brakes upgraded and been told its ke 20 hubs and rotors with ke35 discs. rear has reset king spring leafs. still retains ke10 front leaf interior seems pretty straight forward and original with ke20 seats in the front and everything else stock. door cards and parcel shelf have been cut out for speakers:( at the moment it runs well but will need a bit of mecha…

Suppose I should start a build thread . Even though I am probably not going to start the build for 6 months or more . Plenty of time to collect the bits I need. In the middle of a AE86 RESTO so it is taking all my time and money. So here is the plan , I am going to build it to peroid goodness , but not going to be anal about KE15 Exactness . She already has had a 3k engine and a later 4 speed gearbox fitted. Plus the horrendous , non adjust drums have been replace with KE17 disc set up. Car is only going to be a weekender on Historic Rego , so I will freshen the 3K , mid cam , twin asian and reco suspension and diff and drive line. Back to bare metal respray , a f…

Hi, I got into the whole nostalgic car scene with the influence of a friend of mine and ever since i saw classic cars in his perspective.. i was h00ked! The story began one day while i was at school lurking an Australian car forum and came across a thread where a forum member had posted something about an 80 year old man wanting to sell his crown. So i was thinking ... hm mm ... one owner? JDM? 40 series crown? Manual? tick tick tick TICK! As the front of my shorts began to lift at an alarming rate i quickly got my phone and texted this forum member(i believe silvera23 on here?) straight away Got the contact details of this old mans number and c…

Hey guys, Here is my latest purchase! A 1987 Toyota AW11 SC with an SC14 fitted. I picked it up for the bargain price of $1,500 because the previous owner was desperate to get rid of it for some more shed space! I had been looking for another fun car to use for hills work and weekend motorsport for sometime. The idea was to get something that was almost ready to go and required very little work, as I still want to keep modding the KE20. Like every other young drift-boy in Melbourne I had been looking at R32s and 180s, but it became increasingly hard to find one that had not been thrashed or was a little dodgy! Also both of these cars were really not me.. After r…

hey guys. semi new here and though I'd share my rolla with the rest of you. I love making threads up of my cars, did it for the last car (fiori) on the MCM forum but sadly hardly anyone cared. so around a month ago I bought a ke70 off a follow member. It was stock as balls, just what I wanted as I knew these cars where hard to get for <$1000 and it only had minor damage. reason behind buying it was that my R31 skyline was using up 12-15L per 100km around town and in traffic so I needed something jdm and more fuel efficient before tafe starts in feb. ended up getting a permit from qld transport to drive it home, was pretty funny when the battery was …

ok guys before you ask no i don't have any photos ;) they will be up as soon as i take some. ok the low down, was up at mad mazda matts shop, and one of his mechanics mentioned he saw an 'old corolla' sitting near the gate at one of the local wreckers. i thought no harm in having a looksie, so on my lunch break i dawdled down there expecting to see an old ae82 or something. sure enough there was a little KE30 2 door sitting in just behind the front gate. knowing the owner i told hin i was going to have a glance, it turns out to be a 1975 2 door manual.....with a 5k in place of the 3k  the owner of the yard said 500, i said done. so it is currently residing in m…

well i sold my cressida a few weeks back as it gets dirty 10 minutes after i wash it, so i went looking for some cars and this corona sedan about an hour from my house, looked very overrated so i gave the bloke a call and said yeah come see it. made the journey out there and it was a piece of shit, had dents, scratches and rust. he must of taken the photos of when he just got it as it didn't look like the same car in the add. After driving away and not even telling the seller we were there cause it was that bad, i then quickly jumped on gumtree and saw this corona wagon. looked clean low K's tiny bit of rust and 5 spd! rang the bloke up and was there in 5 minutes took it …

I bought her for a cheap run about as my other vehicle is a fj45 with a 350 and is thursty. Its pretty tidy with still original paint with only a few small rust spots. I only had it a day and a bloke pulled up at the lights next to me and asked me if i wanted to sell it! She does want new struts so if you hear of any.........

Hey all, I'm Brian, just picked up my first Corolla. Been eyeing a few online for a while and finally found one with the right amount of miles, owners condition ect. Looking to get pointed in the right direction. As I don't know much about these cars yet all though I am learning. I started out with european cars such as Audi, Vw and now Volvo. Lost my precious Volvo wagon to a jackass that should have his license removed. So moving on from that decided to pick up a Corolla. I showed some pictures to my friend and he said its a KE-30. Looking around on this forum ive been trying to figure out the differences between different Corollas. Such as KE-55, KE-38. Was thi…

Hey Guys, This is our first project car, a 1977 KE30. Bonestock and bought for a $1000 off the worlds dodgest bloke, dispite this the car was in suprisingly good shape. All the electricals were is working order, the car starts everytime without fault, the only problems were small patches of rust on top of the boot and the weld seems of the roof. But still it ran like a dream.
