Okay, so about a month ago i aquired a KE50. I pormised that it would go to a good home and since then i have make up my mind about what i am going to do with it. I have decided that i will be restoring it. Thankfully the previous owners had tracked down and already wrecked another KE50 which i accepted the parts. I am thinking that the colour that i will be Blue because i think it looks good against the colour of the seats. Here is how she looks like currently. The interior, not my choice of colours. As you can see, the dash mat is screwed on  The steering wheel is my favorite. TRIP METER AND TACHO!!! TO …

Well ive been searching long and hard for a decent 2 door ke30 and i finally found one which i purchased off ebay today. Its a 1974 model been resprayed blue. Apparently an apprentice spraypainter owned the car before this bloke and this was the first car he'd sprayed. So the paint is average but will definately come up shiny with a light polish. I basically was looking for one that was pretty dint free and minimal to no rust or previous damage in the rear and doors as the front half of the panels are easier to find than the back. Anyway i found her and heres a pic that was on ebay. Ill post up more as soon as i get her home and keep ya all posted with all the build up. …

Introducing my latest Corolla...... a shiny KE26 Wagon This is actually my 10th Corolla, and I think it will be my best yet. It has been resprayed in and out in the Ford Territory Mocha colour. I have ALOT of work ahead of me to re-install everything and complete the car ready for the road. I estimate it will take me ~3 years to complete. I wanted something that I can take the wife and kids out in on sunny Sundays and I reckon once complete this will be just the thing. Plans: Engine - undecided, options like 13B, 20V 4AGE and even BEAMS are being considered. As the wagons weigh 900kg, anything up to a 3.6L NA is applicable ;) Driveline - Hilux Diff, also c…

Hey guys, My names Lance and i just picked up my first toyota and first non-Subaru. Its a 1981 KE55 CS sedan, 4 speed with the 4K-C powerhouse. I bought this by chance as i was over driving a 302kw ATW Subaru as a daily and needed something cheaper to run. The storey goes, i was at work working on an old 240 Volvo and decided as a joke to search the classified for one to buy and drive... After finding only interstate ones, i found a KE55 corolla only posted earlier that day.. So later that day after work i went and had a look, and bought it straight away.. One owner from brand new, EVERY single service recipt since its first service. And all services since…

So I thought I'd make this thread as a way to keep track of the stuff I'm doing with this car... The first car i've owned and worked on stock 4k-c, 3sp Auto. Only 47,000 on the clock! I'm sure it hasn't ticked over either... could've been rebuilt That front fender is the only dented panel Got it for $900. It's been sitting in a garage for the last 3-4 years. Had some minor rust here and there. Only a couple spots actually eaten through. I put a new battery in and got it going right away. since I got it i've gotten it roadworthy and it's running quite well. I've done some messy/effective rust repair, new battery, new leads/plugs, oil/filter change twice (onc…

Been lurking on this forum for quite a while. About time I posted some pics of the stuff I've been hoarding over the years! Sorry for the crumby pic, its a gloomy day up here in FNQ. On right is where it all started - my trusty 1988 AE82 cs sedan. Its been in the family since new, I've driven it for 10 years and it still looks pretty much brand new. I've upgraded it with a few bits off wrecked cs-x models, such as tacho, clock, centre console and wheels. It also has the speaker pods off a vs commodore grafted to the front doors. Other than that, its stock and will stay that way. In the middle we have a 1986 AE86 coupe. It came to Australia a few yea…

I found this old girl a few months ago but had troubles getting onto the owner. My other car, a RN85 Hilux with a 1JZ-GTE, has been giving me a lot of dramas this year, so there was always a little thought in the back of my mind about getting a reliable daily. I found this purely by accident as it wasn't advertised. It was sitting under some carports at work collecting dust and hadn't moved for ages when I parked next to it and noticed the for sale sign in the window. It's a KE35 Corolla coupe, 3K motor with a 4 speed manual and only 122000kms. It's currently unregistered but only needs a battery and 5 new tyres. The engine sounds great and has no oil leaks. The body is…

A few doors up from where I work is a guy that collects cars for scrap. Everyday when i go pass i check out what he has... on Thursday morning i noticed what looked to be a KE70, so i stopped in, at closer inspection it turned out to be a TE72. Unfortunatley he had stacked another car on top of it and caved a roof a little, pushing the front rail down 3 inches, pulling the side rails in an inch and smashing the windscreen. It has minimal rust, the interia is in good condition and the car is completley unmolested. I had a bigger, heavier old shitter that needed removal so we did a straight swap. :) POO BROWN Porn interia Roof after initial corre…

We'll as i already have a very clean KE30 weekender i thought it might be time to replace the daily 'commonwhore' with a real car. The old man and I found this 1980 KE55S CS hardtop via word of mouth and snapped it up. Wasn't running and had been sitting for two years. A couple minutes later after pulling apart the fuel pump, fitting a new fuel filter and hose, topping up some trans fluid and fitting a new battery she was purring like a beast! BASIC DETAILS 4K 3spd slushbox (trimatic :D ) Light blue Cloth seats which appear to be in ok condition under those hideous seat covers and that's about it for now. Plans are to get her on the road and then get her lo…

Hey guys, bought this last week off my mate who purchased it off the original owner two months ago. Technically it is a three owner then but oh well :hmm: The grandpa was buying a new Corolla and was gonna use this as trade in, but they only offered him $300. so my mate made an offer and subsequently bought it. Its a 1974 KE20 SE Corolla, the luxo pack hehe. Has an 'awesome' Sanyo am radio/cassette player with Sanyo speakers in the rear trims. Has 67,000km on the clock. Stock 3k, 4 speed, runs well now. Interior is near immaculate minus torn drivers seat, and a crack in the dash pad, and torn gear boot. Has all tools including little case in great conditi…

The KE25 came to me through divine intervention..... it started on christmas day when my KE20 shit itself and left me stranded at home, alone, on chrissy day. my family is a 3 hour drive away so i decided to call around and do christmas with some mates. one of the mates happened to own a 4age powered KE25 and he had run up the back of a hilux a couple of weeks before christmas, we got talking on chrissy day and the way he described the car it was a write off so i offered him 1500 for the car so i could swap the engine…

Bought this off a retiree a couple of weeks ago. He bought it in 1990 and has babied it since then. When we found it, the van had been sitting in the garage for months. Came with thousands of dollars in maintenance receipts. Poor guy got ripped off bad by his mechanic. Initial plans are to fit quad headlights and subsequent front guards, wheels, flare the guards, tint windows, new windscreen, straighten bumpers a bit and add some fixed back seats. Hope you like.

How's it going been looking for a few on 3tc/te72 corolla info seems this site is pretty good. I do a lot of my own work so some is good and some is to make it work. The car is a work in progress as it is my daily driver too. The car is a 1981 corolla lift back 1.8 stock, have header and new exhaust to put on other then that it will be stock. Aftermarket air filter to get rid of the big old blue one. The front lip is from a 1990 ford ranger. I am on a budget for buying stuff so don't bash too hard. Here is the back of the car with the old wheels

Well here is my shitbox. I bought this KE70 from a kid up in byron bay... was pretty rough when i bought it. Was fitted with a silvertop 20V which ran like shit, had a welded diff, dodgy as hell falcon rear springs, bald tyres inflated to 8psi, shagged rear wheel bearings, sloppy steering rack... and a few other awesomeness features. After deciding NOT to drive it back to sydney - i had it brought home on a truck. But anyway... some specs: - KE70 flat front - flared guards - Silvertop 20V engine - Microtech LT10s ecu - 4-1 extractors - Kaizen garage RWD conversion kit - a complete lack of pimp fur interior (yay!) - welded S series diff (p00) Af…

Hello boys and girls, So about a month ago (Late January!) I picked up two KE70s for a bargain 700 bucks! Unbelieveable! One auto, which I simply spent minimal change and cleaned up and use as a run around, the second: A 5 speed manual, blue, and might I add rare "XX" model which includes a boot and petrol flap release catch under the drivers seat, a taco dash, and velour interior! Wow how modern haha! I was stoaked. It had done under 180,000 and has been sitting since 2007. I later found out it CAN be registered! Woo! However, no where near roadworthy. So I've sunk my teeth into it and plan to focus purely on cosmetics and not bother with molestoring the runn…

Hi everyone, here are some pics of my AE112r this is the most recent photo i have. the day i brought her home. Very neat and tidy. This is how it looked for a while, i'm in the process of making the cutout grille again. After a wash at home, probably one of the last photos where the paint was still nice. My clear coat has since decided it no longer like my paint and they're going their separate ways. will post some more pics soon, let me know what you think. i'll also update with a list of the mods i've made.
