This has been a work in progress since early 2006. Finally its looking like happening. I've been planning something along the lines of the ChrisGT ke35 for over 2 years now. Stay tuned. Don't think there's much interest here as its a FWD, but what the heck... Car: 1987 AE92 Corolla FX-GT 3 Door Hatchback Engine: 4AGE Bluetop Mods: Pod Filter, 14" Takumi's, Stereo stuff in soon. Big plans for this as a track car, but due to funds being limited and more work time than car time, its on hold. So right now, its a daily driver. Hey all, so I've had this rusty snot box for about a month now. Bought it stock as a rock as a daily to replace a ST162 white lightning, cost $700 with 6 months rego just put on. Not much to say about it, its stock as a rock with as you probably read 642 000kms, not a typo, that works out its been around the world around 15 times haha. Diff is very noisy, the bushes in the rear are all but non existent so the back end feels like its alive and has a mind of its own, and tie rod ends on the front are shot. Good bits: Rust, (aside from what you can see in the rear quarters) there is very little rust, none around the windows/doors and very very little in the boot.…

So going back maybe five months I found this. It was parked on the side of the road, so I went and knocked on a few doors and after dealing with some very "different" people I ended up buying this KE70 panelvan. My mates were into drifting, so this was going to be the token pig. Still is. Work on the pig began, so out came the power house 4KC, by this stage I had registered it and accumulated many parts. Luckily I sold the 4K and K50 for two bottles of Jim Beam, these helped me muchly. So I was left with a hole to fill. This is my KE70 pano, brought it bout 4 months ago with a blown head gasket. Did the dodge and just took the head off cleaned with a razor blade and put a new gasket on, and its been the best car i've ever owned. I do need a LH park light cover though, so if anyone can help me find one it would be greatly appreciated.

Went to the local council abandoned vehicle auctions the other day. It was raining fairly hard, and the auction itself is held outdoors, so only myself and two other people bothered to show up. (and they were more interested in an old tractor) Bonnet latch was stuck... council guys didn't even bother to pop it. Oh if they had.... Its a GA70 (import) converted to a twin turbo 1JZ... and manual. Nice set of 18's too. The bidding was intense... but I managed to buy it.... For $50. The opening bid. well thought it was about time i posted some details of my new project.... AW11 MR2 its an 86 n/a version thats had an ae92 bigport (9.4:1) engine fitted with aw11 s/c gear. still runs the stock box which has closer ratios than the s/c box so with the extra power from the compression and the closer ratios, this thing leaves stock superchargers for dead :) am awaiting TRD shocks from japan, then there will be TRD springs. also water to air intercooler and a l/h vent for pod filter intake. the sound deadnign has been removed and with the loud exhaust, i keep imagining I'm in a group B car :)

Here is the car guilty of slowing the progress on my conversion to my KE55. But I must say it has been a well worthwhile experience. It is the first time I have ever done a job such as this. It was a tiring one as I had only nights after my job to work on it. Anyway, it is an 1975 MS85 Crown Super Saloon. It's got all the jizz and jazz you could ask for back in the mid 70's. But seeing as I live 70kms from it and never get time to do anything on it i figured Id show you all where I'm up too...
