So I went and did a thing the other day. Barring a KE10, we have now completed ownership of every single odd-numbered Corolla generation (3, 5, 7, 11 and now finally 9), and in some ways the fact that my pending existence caused my mother to have to sell her KE10 is kinda poetic (and ironic). So, meet Marvin - both after Marvin the Paranoid Android from HHGTTG (the movie remake unfortunately, since the BBC miniseries version was silver rather than white), and Lee Marvin from the classic Western musical Paint Your Wagon (I was just stretching for any name connected to the word "wagon" really). Pertinent details …

Hey guys after staking out the forums for the last couple of months and drooling over some of these ke70's and the likes I've decided to dip into the scene and buy my own. I picked it up over the weekend, just your regular 84' with the standard 4k and 5 speed box. (The colour is a lot more cream than white) It runs like an absolute dream with only one small bit of rust just above the rear bumper. The engine will be kept maintained and stock for the time being until my current plans are out of the way, any ideas are welcome seeing as this is my first real attempt at making a car my own. :) The upholstery will need a fair bit of TLC as it is filled with fun …

Ok guys i have been lurking here for a little while waiting to buy a car. Well last weekend i picked up a 1969 KE10B which was advertised on this forum. Reading through here a bit i see its advised to intro yourself and throw up some pictures of your car, so here they are. I bought the car with the intentions of painting it, putting in a new interior and using it as a daily driver. The car is already fitted with a 4k and 4 speed, so i'll be looking out for a 5 speed soon. Other than the KE10 i own an 89 celsior fitted with 20's and an aftermarket air bag controller and tank. Hopefully i'll be able to get plenty of info from here for my build up and maintenance....[att…

  11. Hi all, saw this on ebay 30 minutes after the auction started and after a very quick call to the seller I hit the “buy it now” button and she was mine. She’s a 1970 KE17 Sprinter, owned by only two owners for the last 20 years. In the 7 years the most recent previous owner had it it’s been almost completely restored, with a bare metal respray and completely retrimmed interior. It has KE20 disc brake front end and KE20 full height seats which have be re-upholstered to suit the rest of the interior. Unfortunately the paint prep wasn’t the best, and there’s a few bubbles/humidity blisters coming through. The doors and guards have been pretty extensively repaired so …

Up until now i have not started a thread for my ke25, because it was finished, and there is nothing to write about. But, due to a way too cheap motor option coming up, the ke25 is no longer finished, so here is a quick backtrack of how it got to where it is. :jamie:

  14. Always wanted one of these, my parents had one in the paddock when i was growing up, so i really wanted a crown wagon 67-71. sooo.... This is my wags, i bought it a few years ago off ebay from sydney, sight unseen. A pretty dumb thing to do, but was unable to fly down and view it due to work. Here is some pics from the previous owner. When it arrived, it was pretty rusty, the previous owner said 'rust free', i think he meant 'free rust'. It also had a bottom end knock he failed to mention..... oh, and the diff is buggered........ Anyways, that will learn me for buying a car without viewing it!! So, i stripped the …

Gday all, hear is my lil '78 Ive been working on for the last couple of months, with a lot more months to follow. It started out as the corolla that "Little" Grandma took to lawnbowls then it was bought by my Dad around 14 years ago and was transformed into a Datsun-1600-flogging-Rally-machine. Running a 2TG, Dad and i rallyed it for a few years when we then retired it to the shed were it sat for about 5 years collecting dust (and rust). In the meantime we moved to Qld and brought the beast to the sun. Dad had really lost interest by then and it was left to sunbake up north with the surf and salt. About 6 months ago i said "Dad, this is shit, I'm taking it!" and have sl…

Hi all, I've been trolling around on here for a while now and rarely posted. I thought I'd take the opportunity to throw my hat in the ring and say G'day. I've been the owner of this 1986 CSX Seca for over 7 years now and it's seen a lot of great days and some pretty ordinary days. Bought it for $1800 and have been tinkering with it ever since. It's had a replacement motor put in it after a month of eating 20W/50 and then 3 years later a head rebuild with all new gaskets and belts. Most of the work that gets done to it is by me. Apart from the colour, the dents, scratches, little bit of rust, and days of outright painfulness I do love it and look after it. I'm run…

I've been slowly doing little bits and pieces to get this old girl back on the road. I've mostly just been doing body work and repaired a few little rust spots here and there ( the usual locations, though not too bad really ) You might have also spotted the front lip which is a kamei item from little red spirit, though it has been cut down on the ends and 2 inches shaved off the top so it doesnt hang too low or look to big and goofy. My project car is a JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) 1987 Toyota Corolla II GP Turbo (Grey Import) I bought the car in bad shape for a decent price, so I spent thousands refreshing the car and bringing it back to its original standard. Once Finished I decided on a 4EFTE transplant from an early Starlet GT Turbo. The conversion was dodgy and to cut a long story short, I was ripped off leaving me with a car with more problems then when I originally bought it, and the problems from the dodgy engine transplant ultimately lead to the car faulting and being taking off the road. Slowly I have been repairing the car and finding things which need attention. The pl…

I paid $1500, it was a bit pricey but I don't regret it in the slightest. It's beige in colour with 2 thin brown and orange stripes up the sides of the car. It's running a 4k completely stock 4 speed manual. I just recently got a full sports exhaust fitted just this weekend, extractors and 2" whole way through, sounds HEAPS better then what it did. I also chucked on a set of 14" Watanabee rims, sprayed black suit the car quite well. My future plans for it are to get the engin…

Only problem i do have at the moment is i can only get the car to start by jumping a wire on the starter motor …
