g'day just wondering if anyone can tell me who can do aftermarket suspension and big brake package for my ke35 corolla hardtop and also will a celica 5spd bolt to my 3sgte motor

As the title says, I'm looking for a centre console, to join to my existing dash that will have a gearboot and a tray etc, is there anyone that knows one that will fit, or any advice while I'm looking for one, I'm going to the wreckers today so its kinda urgent, hoping i can pick one up there? With me only being 15 and the new laws in nsw saying that i couldn't drive around in a modified car, my dad suggested that i put a dohc head on my 4k, seeing as most other brands of engines can swap heads eg. subaru 2.5l with 2l and ford 1.8l and 2l heads i was wondering if there were a toyota head with dohc that would bolt straight up, without too many modifications. i was hoping that a 4age head would bolt up seing as they're relitivly cheap in comparison and would be easier to find max

Ok guys, I got sick of trying to find a decnet set if second hand extractors and decided to get a set from ebay. They were advertised as fitting KE10- KE70 corollas with the 4K-C engine. I don't know about the other cars but the sure don't fit the KE70 and they are a little on the small side. I basically had to cut them off at the collector to get them to fit and fabricate from there on. It is for my weekend fun car so it doesn't really matter in the long run but I thought that I should let you know to stay away from then as you will be wasting $250. Cheers Paul

Over the years I have removed many door cards from many different cars with varying success. Is there a fail-safe way of doing this without causing any damage or pulling the plastic lugs through the cardboard? I recently learnt the trick of using a piece of material to remove the clip holding window winders on. Is there a similar trick to removing door cards?

I'm thinking of paint stripping my stalet doors if I was to take it back to bare Metal would I have to etch prime it then primer and then paint? And what diff options do I have for a ke30?

I just signed up and love this Forum. I just bought my first car, happens to be a mad 84 ke70 Corolla . I love it, i was shocked by the number of mods you could do to them. I have this problem with my door lights and clock. They just don't work. they were working when i bought the car and after we put my head unit in they stuffed up. And yes i have checked the fuses and bulbs and replaced them. After that i don't no what to try. Could someone help me or give me advice.

Ok guys, trying to find a mirror that would look good on my ke70 and can't find anything that i like, so i have decided to run the standard door one that comes on the 83, but i really want a left hand side one too, because as you might know they don't come out with one. So i figured i could try and get one off a left hand drive one but i can't find any at all. Could someone please help me out if they have one or know where to get one from, even a suggestion of different type mirrors that i could run keeping i mind i don't like round ones :) Cheers :D :y:

Hi, Was just wondering can't he KE55 door trim fit on a KE30 door? As I believe that the KE55 had the door trim wrap right up to the window so if possible I want to switch them to stop freezing or cooking my arm on the metal door in certain sessions. Also if this is possible does anyone have pictures they could show me just to see how it will look and also for some inspiration? Cameron

Hey All If you look at a rotory engine, you'll see that there are 2x spark plugs per rotor. I was thinking would you get any more power out of a cylinder engine if you had 2 spark plugs per cylinder insted of 1 per cylinder? Teddy

Hi Guys, I've got a set of KE30 stock rims laying around (114.3) and I'm thinking of drilling them out to fit my KE20 (110). :) Has anyone had a go at this? It sounds pretty dodgy but its a cheap alternative. I guess if the hub holds the rim in place it will stop any play in the rim. Cheers Vinnie.

hay peoples looking for some advice been stuffing round with my drive shaft loop trying to get it to fit , i ended up making 2 x 2.5 mm steel plates and drilled 4 holes in each, then welded in some thick bolts, lined up the loop and drilled some holes thru the floor ,bolted it in and swung my full body wieght on it ,its solid and doesnt move, but I'm still not happy , i was going to weld some steel plates under the floor, so it would go something like this ::: 2.5mm steel plate with bolts thru the floor then thru another steel plate and then thru the drive shaft loop , does this sound like over kill???????????????? or what i have be strong enuf? like t…

Hey guys, on the way to work today, and i noticed when i push back / accelerate onto my seat, the left side back support seems to have given way. i have no idea how to fix it and its really anoying me now, as when i turn i almost end up in the passenger seat. Hi Guys, If this is in the wrong section I'm sorry. Hoping someone can help - car is import, based loosely on gt starlet/toyota paseo. Automatic, 1.5L engine. Car is silent when not moving. Some days, I experience a grinding metal noise coming from the front drivers side wheel. Some days there is clunking that makes the car jerk like backfiring, but its clunking, not backfiring. Had a power run done on my car,the final result was 127.5kw@185km in forth gear. my first question is why doesn't it tell me what rpm it was at when that figure was made. what sort of power should i be making. Its a 4agze with a Garrett Gt28 turbo, microtec comptuer and a front mount intercooler. i am running 12psi

Hi all, I'm in need of a carby tune on a dyno. The carburetors are Mikuni CV ITB's (off a GSX1100R I believe) and they're strapped to Phil's twin cam 4K. They're currently running very lean due to changing the air filtration system and it looks like it's gonna need a whole new set of jets/needles to be selected. I need to know two things: Is there someone around Brisbane who is capable of getting these just right, and what am I expecting to pay? I've been told it's not gonna be cheap, but I'd really like to know how much roughly it will cost. Thanks!

hey guys iv got a worked 20v silvertop ke70, will be running a haltech e11v2. are there any good tuners in BRISBANE who have worked with 4age's ? Okay, so I'm a little confused with the all the different front ends available for the e7 cars (especially taking into account all the different ones available worldwide). I have a hardtop ae72, and always thought the hardtops share the same front end as the coupes and liftbacks. While the 2-door sedans, 4-door sedans, and wagons shared the same front ends. But then I saw this picture of the a coupe with the quad headlights. Now I'm all confused. What front ends were available on what? Or more specific, what front ends came on the hardtops like mine?

Hey all, I have been doing a bit of research on E85, I’m sure all of you know what E85 is if not here you go , I’m very interested in finding out some feedback if anyone has had it running in their car, more so the 16v and 20v people and the turbo/supercharged peeps, I’m not expecting too many replies as there is allot of work involved to get it running in your car because of its corrosive nature. Hey My KE25 project has come to a halt today. The engine I got out of an early 72 KE20. I chucked the engine in my KE25 today to find out that it does not fit the KE25 4speed. The bolt spaces are different and don't line up at all. I still have the KE20 gearbox. Would that be the soloution? Would I need to change anything else? eg tailshaft? Hey everyone, so I'm new here my name is Matt and i own a 91 AE92 hatch. It's running a 4agze supercharger replaced with turbo in in the process of getting an ecu for it. I have had a few suggestions from a few different people first is getting the standard ze ecu chipped (which i don't have a loom for) or getting a haltech sprint 500 or sport 1000, thoughts on my best course of action?
