hey guys, Hoping for a bit of help here. I recently put a 2tg into my rolla and of course expected the fuel economy to be worse than the 5k that was in there. Not this much worse though. Getting 16.5l per 100km under fairly normal driving conditions. Engine has mild cams and head work as far as I know and is running twin weber 40s with 32mm chokes. It was running rich and had machined out 34mm chokes and jets to suit then I got it rejetted with the 32mm chokes but it hasn't made a significant difference. So all you 2tg owners what sort of economy are you getting? And what carbs are you running?

I have the standard k series radiator in my car with the 2tg and as the picture below shows the hose doesn't have the bend to fit on. As I see it I have 2 options 1. find a hose with that 90 degree bend in it - any ideas on that one? 2. Get a piece of metal pipe to fit between the hose I have and another hose that is a 90 degree bend... Any help on this?

the 2zz-ge engine would have to be the most recent engine to be put into the corollas that we all now and love. Does anyone know anyone that knows them inside out ??? I've been chasing someone in brisbane or anywhere in AUS that can talk to me about them. As I have basically come to the lengths as far as bolt on mods goes for my rolla so now its down to internals. or anything else that we can think of. Any info would be great thx guys :P

Need to know (if you do that is) what size jets people have in these when on a mild 4k. The secondaries on mine feel good, but the idle the power transition is way the rich, and it is doughy as hell until it hits about 2500 rpm. Long shot I think, but you never know... I know Nick has one of these for his KE70, is it on there yet??

Hi guys, Dad and I have been surfin' eBay for the last few weeks for Weber Carbys for Ollie, and we stumbled across this one. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-WEBER-32-34-DMTL-CARB-CARBY-LANDROVER-LAND-ROVER-/330605977866?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4cf9a6e10a It's a 32/34 Weber Carby with Manual Choke from a Land Rover (presumably from an older model one). I asked dad if it would work on my 4K, and he said he couldn't see why not, having smaller jets than the very common 32/36. I'm not saying he's wrong because I'd like to get one, but before I go out and buy one, I wanted to ask, and get opinions and suggestions from the brains of the "Weber on K…

  21. hey guys well i have sorted out a major air leak, so that problem should be all gone now ... The new problem - the car free revs - even with the idle screw set at the lowest, it revs at over 3,000RPM. This is with the mixture screw set about 1 1/2 turns out. This is with the throttle gear returning to the closed position (e.g. the throttle cable isn't tight and holding the throttle open. ..) The jets in it are 130 primary, and 132 secondary. It is an automatic choke model, but the choke valve is all the way open so should have no affect ... The motor is a 4k .... ARG! ANY help would be great guys, cars been off the road for almost a week…

Hey guys, I am after some help with working out "wtf" is going wrong with my carbie. Have a 32/36 DGAV Weber on the 4K since the Aisan one shit itself. All was working fine with it over 2 months or so, but now something is wrong and I am unsure of what it is. The car will not rev at a steady level. If you try to hold the revs at a constant mark, the engine drops in revs then kinda splutters back up then drops again. The same goes for the idle. It barely idles, and when you adjust the mixture screw, it does hardley anything. The screw can be the whole way out and the engine still runs like it was halfway in. When you try to increase the idle speed, the engie just picks…

Ok so dad drove the ke70 to work on monday. As soon as he got it home it stalled itself when idleing. After starting it back up again it idled for a few seconds, then the revs dropped and it almost stalled but then they rise to the normal idle again and it keeps suddenly dropping revs untill it finally stalls itself. I thought there must be some dirt or grit in the idle jet. It was fine in the higher revs and there were no problems when you drive it but as soon as you stop at traffic lights your constantly revving it so it wont stall. I took the carb off yesterday, cleaned it inside and out and cleaned the primary and secondary idle jet. I also took the top off …

Hey Hey, I have a 32/36 weber on my Pajero. SAeeing as some folk here like these carbies i'll ask here.It wont idle properly. Idles at 200 - 300rpm. No vac leaks i can find. Drives well, cruises well. Dies when i add start ya bastard. Runs better when i cover fuel bowl vents but still not 100%. New kit put through, new needle and seat. To get it to idle i have turn the mixture screw out nearly 10 turns and crack the primary butterfly which is very wrong. Idles shit aswell. I'm not expecting a miracle answer but suggestions.

So trying to just confirm the deck height of the 3k at 185.5 and the 4k at 196.0? Deck height being from crank centreline to top of block. Doesn't seem to add up with stroke and piston height measurements as follows.... So 3k deck height would be 66/2 stroke + 113 rod + 35.5 piston height = 181.5mm And 4k deck height would be 73/2 stroke + 120 rod + 35.5 piston height = 192mm What is missing here?

Did a quick search but can't find the answer. I guess it's only the dimenisions of the manifold port openings; but what are those dimensions. Thanks ! :)
