Soooo i'm back in another ke20. Most of you know this car already. engine; Head slightly ported and polished, lumpy cam, extractors, lightened flywheel, new valves, springs, pistons. pretty much everything was freshened up, the effort gone into the engine is awesome and it shows when driven. since getting it i have had another muffler installed as it was way to loud, lowered it and as of today had whitewalls put on. interior is pretty much overrated bar the drivers seat, and it seems the carby is on its way out. looking to go some sought of weber or something to get that extra bit of power its lacking. any advice would be fantastic.

Hey There, I have just purchased a sweet 2000 ultima and would love to know about some intake options that people know of, I am going to upgrade the intake and exhaust first then look at suspension and the list goes on. Would any one be able to explain the intake set up of this pic I found wih a 7afe with trumpets? It looks tuff as! Would this engine fit in my car with this set up or would the air filters be facing the back and all squashed up? As in what I would need to modify my current set up to get this under my hood. At the momment it is a stock 1.8 efi 7afe Cheers

Hi all, I have been lurking around most of the Toyota Corolla forums for a while now, just reading what is out there before deciding to become a member. I have put together a few tuff cars in the past but I have never posted any of the builds on the net, but I would like to share with the members on Rollaclub the build of my little Corolla. The build I would like to share is of my 1 owner KE35, I have been looking to find a good one for the past 2 years. The KE35 I picked up was owned by a little old lady that had all of the log books and had a full service history from the day she bought it from the Toyota dealer. Make ~ Toyota Model ~ Corolla KE35 Year ~…

OK... Just because a good deal comes along, doesn't mean I should accept it. Right? Wrong. Evidently, I should not be allowed to inspect potential automotive purchases without proper supervision... ie: don't bring girls with you when someone says, "hey, come check out this VW, you can have it for $100" because they will go "oooo isn't it cute.... BUY IT" which is not the kind of influence someone with an addiction to buying buckets of shite should have around them. Oh well. So now I own this little blue beastie. For 100 snails, its actually a pretty good buy. I think I'll just be restoring it to relatively original condition... but we all know how these …

Ok so its been a couple of years, I figure I'm ready to start a build thread now... but DON'T RUSH ME ALREADY I can't handle the immense peer pressure and scrutiny :lolcry: This is Benji. I picked him up a little while ago for the missus to drive, so she can stop thrashing the snot out of mine and I can take it off the road for re-incarnation. Collecting it was a mission in itself... details here. So at this point it had cut springs, rooted shocks, and several missing wheel studs. These problems have been rectified with nice new stock replacements for the time being. I binned the cooked head and threw another reco one on (which I had in the shed, h…

So... I was having a couple of beverages with this german backpacker the other day, and, long story short, she gave me her car. Its a 1980 Mazda 929. 2 litre, 5 speed, Aircon. Grotesquely overweight, and more akin to driving a lounge room than a car.... with period correct brownest of brown interior, resplendent in crushed velvety stuff (striped and pleated) and laminex woodgrain. Sexy. Now ordinarily I'd just take something like this out bush and see how well it was engineered, but unfortunately: a: It drives beautifully b: It is 100% completely rust free c: It is completely original, unmolested and DEAD straight... other than the front.... So I've decided …

I'm a Datsun man, i love restoring them.... But i've always been fond of the old Corollas and after owning an 84 KE70 as a rally car i've always wanted one as a dailey. Anyways, i just sold my car, then my parnter in crimes car broke down, leaving us desperate for a car. It seems that, unless you stumble onto a bargain these days, most people want BIG$$$ for these machines, i so i bought an "in need of love" specimen. The guy who sold it to me was dodgey as, but i knew what i was in for so i bought it. Apparantly the engine was stuffed, "blown head gasket" or something... choke was stuck shut, thats all :) Its been resprayed (in enamel) to to hide the half a…

Hey all.. My name is Nathan, I'm 19 and from Brisbane, and I thought i'd share my love for KE70's by putting a post up of my build... A mate of mine whom which owned the car was looking to upgrade to something other than this 'pile of shit', and so with a price tag of $500 I jumped at the chance, and obviously for that price the car wasn't going to be in the best shape, The body was 99% straight (Next to no dings/Dints) But what I did get was an eye-sore of an interior and a boot full or rust, Litterely!.... Basic plans: *Drift* * 1UZ-FE 4.0L V8 (Eventually super/turbo charge) * Series 5 RX7 5speed gearbox with a custom 1 peice tailshaft * RX7 Dif…

Hey guys, I'm new here but I thought I'd share with you in detail the build I have been doing over the last month and a bit. My names Jarrad, I'm 19 and in Melbourne. I got to uni, studying industrial design and I managed to cram this into my holidays just over. Here she is as I got her. A very tidy example with a few needed rust repairs in the usual places. It's done a few km's and needed a new diff. Apart from that - spick and span. Owned by a car-detailer that sold it because he got a AE86. Prior to him it was owned by a Toyota mechanic. First step for me was to start hacking up the rust. I stripped it completely and made up some panels to w…

Hey I'm new to this forum and corolla's in general. Just got myself a 1984 ke70 and am in the process (still early) of a new paint job and sr20det conversion. Car is off the road as I bought it with a broken axle, wasn't much good to me anyway with an auto in it. My daily is a 2006 Toyota Hiace, its lowered colour coded bumpers, tint, stereo, carpeted all the rear of it and yeah just all the basics. how I picked it up

Picked up an ae82 twin cam from a local wreckers for $1000 with only a stripped clutch as a fault. We have stripped it out, built strengthening plates for rollover and half built the roll cage, custom fit racing seats, removed steering lock, mounted harnesses, mounted skid plate and replaced a hd clutch. Rally tires are on with the suspension razed a bit! All the welding and fab is done by me. mechanical is me with huge mechanical knowledge support from Dad. Hey guys this is my Ae92, Its 3/4 Finished now, I'll throw some pics up and story from then till now. Basically, it was my Ex Gf's Mums car, She owned it from new, It was then passed onto my Ex when she got her P's, She got a new car, I took owner ship of it, Wanted something cheap to run and maintain as a daily. Its had a reasonable life, Owned by 2 mechanics now. The Ex neglected it a bit, but considering its got over 360,000 on it and is still going strong, I can't complain. I think since I've owned it I would have spent maz $1200 getting it to the stage its at now, Still have a reasonable list of things to go to 'finish' it. All the work has been done by myself, or he…

Recently sold my car trailer and have replaced it with this 1981 model Toyoace truck. Its only done 97,000, no rust and a very healthy 5R 2.0 motor. I'm going to make a new back for it with some ramps and an electric winch to pull the car on. Will be purpose built for KE Corollas. Looking for some original hubcaps and some other little bits so if you know where one is let me know!

A shot video of my drive to the "Early Rodders" meet here in Southern California... Driving my 1973 TE-27 Road Race/ Autocross car to the weekly Saturday morning meet of the "Early Rodders" in Montrose, Southern California. Most of the cars are high end Italian and German cars, and a few beautifully restored American classics. I just love the reaction of people when I drive this car in, no matter what car event it is... Hey, picked this little beauty up earlier in the week. It's a yellow, 1980, ke55 cs coupe, auto. Not too bad condition. Has some rust spots and dents. Interior is quite good apart from dash top, most things work. The heater works! The 4k runs well and goes alright considering it's auto. Plans are to clean it up, put it on historic rego and then later I will think about a manual conversion and other mods. But for now I'm just cruising around in it and doing a few repairs. I have got some touch up paint already and have done a few little repairs. I shaved the rear corolla badge, welded holes up and gave it some paint and also under the fuel cap I did a small rust repair. P…
