Hey Everyone, As the topic title suggest, i am hoping to go ahead with it. I have researched the net over and over, and there conflicting information everywhere. I am hoping for some of the knowledgeable and experienced members to provide some comments on this. i have a 7AFE long motor(from an AE102X) at home and an AE94 Corolla with a 4AFE(1st gen) for my understanding, i could swap the 4AFE to the 7AFE and given that the 4AFE loom will not have all the wires required for the sensors on the 7AFE block, it should NOT matter as long as the rest is connected up the ECU will still think its the 4AFE motor and therefore the engine should still run. …

so after quickly googling this topic, the results were inconclusive.... some people reckoned the engine would explode due to oily vapors in the crankcase igniting, some people reckoned it would be fine, and someone even suggested filming and should it blow up then we will prove why you shouldn't weld a sump on an engine for once and all. the problem: the driver of the car ran over a truck tailshaft at speed, ripping a hole in the lower sump (steel) and some other damage underneath. no oil in engine, and the driver was not able to pull over straight away, so unsure if engine damage has occurred. obviously oil is needed in the engine to run it in order to work out w…

I got a rear louvre and I'm having issues finding ways to attach it. Google has been seriously unfriendly about them. Repco etc, like usual, useless. They said no one has them any more and the people they got them off went bust. Here's a pic of the hole. If you could point me in the right direction I will name my 2nd child after your user name. Super cereal. Thanks as always Reed

Hello rollaclub My name's Mudgy, found this site quite by accident. Unfortunately, I don't have my KE 10 anymore, I sold it to my apprentice back in 1993 - 94. It was a '67 sedan white, '71 discs+struts, '67 sprinter grille (red badge) '80 or '81 5 speed, formuling steering wheel, steering column was hard chromed to take a needle bearing instead of a bush in the ol slush box, Galant front seats, (I think it was a 77 galant), XB mirrors with Escort spacer/stand-offs, the right one was from a Fairlane - even had the little silver joystick!! 4Kuc motor with old model head, SS exh, twin 45mm DCOE side draught webers, (can't remember the inlet manifold - I think it wa…

Hey all i've just picked up an ae71 with a spare diff ( for $100  ) and i'm going to put the 4ac into my ke70. Well, i have heard the ae71's diff centre's have a 4.1 ratio for auto, and 3.9 for manual can anyone confirm this? Ke70's have 4.3 for auto, 4.1 for manual. Are the diff's from the ae71 and ke70 the same? other then the centres of course? Next, the ae71 tailshaft is different is it? I'm guessing the spline off the gearbox arent the same as on a k40 or k50 box. Reason for this is i want to know how i go around keeping my ke70 diff with the 4.1 ratio for now. Might give me a little more acceleration then the 3.9 ratio. Could i use rear half ke70 …

I mentioned in the KETURBO25's project thread that when I first registered on rollaclub I remember maybe Medicine Man or Teddy mentioning that they knew of a measly 3x K-T bellhousing in Australia. These days they seem to be coming out of the woodwork everywhere and there's a lot more than 3x just among rollaclub members. Plus I'm sure there have to be a few more rolla drivers out there with one,....and they don't even know they do!!! So, just interested to see exactly how many we do have among members these days. I know of a few people that do so I'll automatically add them to the below list, but if you've also got one yell out. Also tell us weather its …

Well i was getting my Daily car's exaust leak fixed yesterday, when i saw this parked out front of the Exhaust Shop. Toyota Hiace with a full house body kit, and super deep dish rims. The body kit was a bit rough in places (in regards to how it all mated up), but it wasnt overly disgusting in real life.......thats not to say that i would even consider buying the car. :y: It certainly had the most dished wheels that i had ever seen on a van though.

See thread, start on page 2. Look out for posts by edgar_raphael, he posts some pics as well. It's basically an AE111 Corolla, with full ST215 GT4 gear, including the 4WD system and the dash and instrumentation... Cool :P

So I had my spare twinky wheel laying around and I was bored. The thing looked pretty ratshit. I don't know what happened to the leather but it was bad. So out came the razor blade, and I started un-stitching the leather. Which left a weird glue behind. So I tried degreaser, glass cleaner, turps, brake cleaner. But thinners got it off the best. Gave it a wash in hot soapy water and one of those green kitchen scrubbers and voila... Pretty sweet transformation. Sure its not leather any more but its gone from a POS looking wheel to a respectable looking one.

I can't remember what the hell I was cruising for when I came across this site, but it got me thinking.. I've certainly seen some badly made filters, but I've never looked inside one. On the Altezza I only ever use genuine Toyota ones, and I'm going to do the same with the KE after reading this! http://minimopar.knizefamily.net/oilfilters/index.html Has anyone got stories of damage caused by dud filters or reasons about which ones to buy?

my mate has an 1981 RA40-R celica GT-2000, it was one of our mates fathers car and he babied it for many years, he sold it to my mate for quite a decent price and it was in excellent condition both mechanically and visually. ne ways, it has an 18RG in it (2ltr DOHC, stock form roughly 150ish hp) which is not the original engine i believe? i was wondering if ne one call fill me in on the engine pros and cons? i know that it is fairly rare, and goes bloody hard.... that however is no technical knowledge. i want to know what you can do with these engines, if ne one knows, how much HP they r capable of and roughly how much and engine is worth???? i understand these ar…

So I'm after a diff for my 70 that will handle 500+hp. Is my only option a 9"?, if I could go a lighter option I would prefer it. Also want to attach disc brakes so my question is what are people running and is it just easier to change to stud pattern so you can fit some big track brakes front and back?

Got some of these for the mrs 82 the other day after a mate reviewed them on his 300zx and all I can say 'suck me sideways' These things are crazy, I have tried wiper blade after wiper blade and now I am glad I have spent the 56 buck on these, well worth it. Anyone that is interested, the ae80/82 takes an 18" (450mm) hook type blade.

So I picked up a 2nd gen 4AGE on the weekend. It's out of an AE86, so it's got loom, all the RWD parts, engine mounts, ecu and a T50 on the back. The block itself is toast, it was run without oil and chucked rods out of the side, but I figured I could sell the gearbox to easily cover the costs of getting the whole package and I'd have a bunch of RWD bits that will come in handy. Checked it over I noticed that it had TRD cast into the shifter mount, so it's got a short throw shifter on it. Nice! Took it home, pulled off the gearbox and it has a lightweight chromoly flywheel and 3 puck racing clutch in it, yes! Anyway, I needed to find some rev heads and shar…
