Hey guys, Currently doing a 4AGE into my KE70 at the moment and I am up to the exciting part of converting to a hydraulic clutch setup! Now, I know the obvious route to take is to fit an AE71 pedal box, or a t-18 with minor mods, but I am deciding to modify the original KE70 box to use the clutch master cylinder I have here from my donor AE86 as I'd rather not pay the $150 + that most people want for the AE71 setup and also, from my first assessment, I should be able to make the KE70 pedal box work easily. Hey guys, Problem. I leant my KE26 to my mum for the night, she drove it not too far at all. She experienced a problem. I came and drove it back home. From start off i can get into first gear then second then third etc (K50). However in between the gears I experience a major crunching of something, it feels like some gears aren't connecting and feels as if i'm dragging about a tonne of metal along the ground. And when i'm in 4th if i drop below a certain rev limit it starts again. Hey all i have a ke55 that ive had for awhile but decided i want to repaint it.. anyways, Theres a few bubbles of rust in the rear wheel arch? all i was going to do was dig most of it out then bog it up lol... will this work? Thanks all

Hey guys got a bit of a wires issue with my Panel. The 3k takes a long time to build any oil pressure on start up. I'm talking like 5-10 seconds which seems far far too long. Once it's built the pressure it seems fine. I've got around it right now by putting a switch onto the coil that allows me to turn over the car without ignition, but it takes seriously 20-30 seconds of cranking to get the oil light to turn out! Anyone had this before? Oil pump is in the sump right? Which means engine out to replace?

Hey, Just wondering if anyone had a rough idea on how much engine parts are likely to be. All these parts are going onto a 3k. Cam, double valve springs, lightened fly wheel and then getting a carby rebuilt/tuned.. Any help would be awesome Cheers Tom

hey guys my babys hurt :( I'm guna jack her up tomorrow so i can have a look but thouhgt id post this to get some rough ideas and sugesstions its a ke30 - 4k -4speed the problem is firstly its very hard to put in to gear, when i get it in gear it makes a clunking noise, when you take your foot off the clutch while its in gear it will not move cotinues to idle and make the clunking noise. but none the less it goes into gear so i don't think its the box I'm leaneing towars clutch or broken stub axle? please any sugestions tips or advice would greatly appreciate it thanks guys

I got some CSX alloys 3 days ago for $100 for 5 of em, ive been polishing them and working on them since i got em so ill put up a before and after pic, give me a rating of 1 to 10 cause this is probly the second time ive even touched sandpaper and polish. I was hoping to get some info from people who have used the 7k-e manifold and megasquirt computer. The main problem is how to control the idle speed control valve, I can't work out what type of signal the computer provides to the valve. Any help and experience on this would be much appreciated.

Hi all I have looked for answers to this type of question, but any links welcome. I have just got a KE30 2 door and the steering is very heavy off centre. Everything is std and original (good condition). What can I do to improve the steering feel? Is this common? I am looking for something that will inspire confidence. Please note I will get a wheel alignment, but I suspect this isn't the issue as it tracks straight, doesn't wobble, has good tyres, etc. Thanks for looking and helping. Micksute

hi i have a ae92 corolla hatch csi 4afe with pod filter and removed muffler is it worth putting a cam in it or turbo it extractors 2.5 exhaust or just getting rid of it or selling it and getting a sx 4age atm i get to a hundred in bout 9.5 sec how much faster is a sx 4age or is it cheaper to do a engine conversion ?????? ne info or feedback would be great thanks

Hey, I have come to the realisation that, finding stock dual carby set up from the kexx sprinter models is going to be a tough ask. So I'm wondering if I could set up single carbys and set them up on a custom manifold? Has this been done before? If so is there any places in adelaide that would be able to help me out? Cheers Tom

hay people i am thinking that i may have a clutch problem of some type when i got to select reverse (clutch fully depressed as it should be :) ) it grinds and this is when i am not even moving and acasionly when i go from neutral to first and the rest also it has plenty of clutch fluid

I am currently running a 2 inch su of a rover that i hae fully rebuilt to go on my supercharged 4k. The setup as it currently sits is.. 2 inch SU carby SC12 toyota supercharger locked electronic dizzy basically stock internals apart from full rebuild with a cam and double valve springs Now the problem that i have is the piston in the SU will not open up enough to allow more fuel to pass into the carby. I have replaced the needle in the carby with one which i bought from a carby specialist who has tuned a couple of similar setups on corolla's and datsun's. Ok so i've got a manifold for my 4age in my KE55, but the flange suited is t3, i have tdo4l turbo but i don't know what type of flange it is? BMC racing has adapters for them 60 but they don't have post to AUS. And I'm not keen on paying over 100 for a machine shop to make one. If someone knows where i can get one, would be great

hi ive searched the furums but they havent answered what i need to know. i am looking at a 1980 ke55 which is a auto and i have another ke30 at home which is a 4 speed will the gearbox and crossmember etc. from the ke30 bolt into the ke55 with no problems?

Trying to put stereo into ke30, people who owned the car before me messed up the wiring so i have no idea what to hook the power supply on the sony stereo to? Should i just wire it to the battery or is there a better way?

Hi Was drivin home in my ke30, from trade school and the box got real noisy anyway got home and checked it turns out i have no oil :S So i went to fill it up but the dolt in the side to fill it is completly striped on the out side i tryed vice grips monkey wrench hammer and a screw driver and baching a smaller ring spanner on now of which helped me :( So i m goin to fill it by removing the selector which leads me to my question how much oil do i put in as the filler whole wont simply over flow?? its a T50 (am pretty sure as it is a five speed) thanks Corey.

just thought i would see if anyone had any ideas on how i should tackle this. ive picked up a set of JIC coilovers for the s15. second hand unfortunately, but they look in very good condition overall....and they were cheap (traded some other parts for them) and i cannot for the life of me move the base on one of the rears!! for those unfamiliar with them they look like these (this is just a google image NOT MY ACTUAL ITEMS) http://i46.tinypic.com/2yye97b.jpg the one closest is a Rear coilover, you can see the base is threaded onto the shock body. the majority of coilvoers do not have the base adjustment, but these do and you can get more height out…

Hey fellow rollaclubers. my friend and i started porting a cylinder head for the first time using tips sourced off the net and in books. so far we have only done one port as per picture bellow. does anybody have any tips they can share, any methods that worked best for them. i just wanted to hear people opinion on porting and if they think it is worthwhile of the hours and hours it takes.

has anyone here mini tubbed a ke55? legally in nsw you can tub to the chassis rail,and i reckon i might be able to squeeze a 275/50/15 in there. mainly after some advice from people who have done it and what there results were. some pics would be nice too :cool:

Hi guys recently had a full respray on my ke70 and know have to put everything back on. Just wondering what people reconmended for sealing up rear tail lights as original rubbers aren't in the best shape? Hi all, As with the cooling issue thread I started a little while back I would also like to start an engine problem thread. I will start off. Engine problem: Idle is rough and jumpy I guess I will start off with my main question. Can an exhaust be too small for the engine to run smoothly??? The story behind my problem: I initially had a 2" system that I built myself and was running in the car for quite some time. Everything was good. Eventually I did a 5k + 5 speed conversion + electronic dizzy and everything went well. A couple of months down the track I decided that I wanted to do a change in the exhaust so I replaced my 2" system back to the orig…

so i got my slef some s13 coilovers with ae86 camber tops i put them together but when i drop the car on its wheels the big bolt on the camber plate pushes up about 10mm and when i jack the car up it goes back back down it doenst seem normal also knocks when driving is this a failure of shocks or just simply needs proper adjusting cheers

my ke 30 wont start ( when i turn the key i can hear the starter solinoid click, ie checked the cableing, adn the battery is fine. what could it bee?? starter motor???? pleasse need help fast :)
