I killed my old (worked 3T-c 5sp, LSD... tidy) KE36 by rolling it in the forest. Was a sad, sad day. sob I wanted another KE36... ...and I found another one. Its a bit ratty, but IMPORTANTLY... everything is straight. The 3k Bigport is knackered, and was gonna be replaced by a ?T-g. For now, its getting a kinda-fresh 4K. It'll be daily driver/weekend warrior for uni next year. I am more into Handling and Stopping than BHP. As a result I have learnt HOW to get the most of these cars, and use the small amount of BHP that K engines have... Momentum, braking late, and hurling a KE at corners!! So Project:36 (P:36) is gonna get the best setup possible…

A few doors up from where I work is a guy that collects cars for scrap. Everyday when i go pass i check out what he has... on Thursday morning i noticed what looked to be a KE70, so i stopped in, at closer inspection it turned out to be a TE72. Unfortunatley he had stacked another car on top of it and caved a roof a little, pushing the front rail down 3 inches, pulling the side rails in an inch and smashing the windscreen. It has minimal rust, the interia is in good condition and the car is completley unmolested. I had a bigger, heavier old shitter that needed removal so we did a straight swap. :) POO BROWN Porn interia Roof after initial corre…

UPDATE!: Decided to stop being a cheapo, so got rid of the cheap guard mirrors and got myself some early 80's Dragways! Really adds to the look of the car me thinks, comments? (also updated info) _____________________________________________________________________ Hey! My names Matthew, I live in Elsternwick. Just got this KE70 for $500 from a rental place. It's brown, very very brown. I put in a Pioneer headunit, with 6" Pioneer's in the front, and Pioneer 6x9's in the rear. :lolcry: I also discovered the wonderful art of Key-Banging about 3 days after purchasing the car, and using it to scare people shitless. Well it's been a long time since I've had a project, but picked up this ke20 from a mate's dad looking to get rid of some vehicles. It's had a respray at some stage, as well as new springs and discs just before he took it off the road 7 years ago and it has just sat there. Plan is just to tidy up the body, get it running and then registered. Few things need to happen though Rust repairs driver's side fender Driver's door fouls on fender (opened when I went to look at it the other day so don't know if it's moved during transport) Grill and bumper wonky (doesn't look like from impact damage, just poorly reset) Brakes have no fluid in the reservoir Hasn't starte…

1970 Toyota KE20 Corolla Brought this as a daily run-a-round back at the start of 2009 original 3k 4spd etc. Fixed what needed to be done at the time an drove it for a good 4-6mnths as my daily. Until the exhaust manifold gaveup yet again so i decided to do the KIWI thing an "chuck a rota in it au" Sourced a 12a 6port block from a cosmo, with 4barrel cabbie jetted for a bridgeport, & extractors brought a complete RX7 s1 for the g/box, driveshaft, wiring bits, radiator, coolers etc (basicly the whole package bar the motor) Stript the KE20 engine bay down, welded in the mounts, made the adjustments for the booster. Test fitted a dummy block/gbox in there. got it…

Hi folks Decided it was high time I posted a thread of the little Tiara that has been living with me since earlier this year. Story goes that my brother is a bit of a car nut like me, and when I sent him a link for this on ebay, he fell in love and went hammer and tong to win it. Win it he did, and then asked me to go collect it for him since he lives in Sydney and it lived in Melbourne, just like me. It had a few months rego left on it which was handy, so I grabbed it, assured that nothing was wrong with it for a roady, and off I toddled. Here are some pics from the ad. G Complete with relatively gutless 'R' engine (note no numbers…

So i got a message from guy that said "I have a 67 station wagon, Very rough".. After a quick call, with cash in hand i went and had a look... A 1st gen wagon has been something i've dreamed of since i can ever remember.. And the thought of one being so close to me for so long... I had to have it. It was rough... The car had sat in a long grass paddock since early 1990's.. And it showed. Every panel dented, rusted.. Hyper extended door, rat piss interior "Ran when parked"... I had to save it. I paid the man, Organised a truck and it arrived the next day. So, Here it is.. My 1967 Ke16!

I am mega excited to be posting about my latest acquisition, a 1967 MS47 Crown wagon. There had been much discussion on the forums and at club meetings about this nice old Crown wagon at Centre Rd Wreckers that needed saving. I didn't think much of it, assuming it was a rusty bugger or in dire straits, if it had made it to the wreckers. Then on a sunny Thursday afternoon, with a does of the CBF's at work, I decided to go for a wander around the wreckers yard to see what was new. It was then I came upon this beauty. It was straight, almost completely rust free, and just too good to be sitting in the wreckers slowly getting pulled apart. I had to have it, especially…

About time I put up a rides thread on my 1969 KE15 Toyota Corolla Sprinter, since its been 6 months since I bought it. The purchase came about as I had a hankering to own another classic besides the Celica, which I could put on club reg and use for the odd spot of hillclimbing, Sunday cruising etc, and be less precious about it - the Celica spends more time in the garage than it should because I am terrified someone will open their door on it in a carpark, or its raining, or the day ends in Y... etc etc. I spotted a KE15 on ebay that was a bit rough around the edges, but I figured in time with some love I could get it to fit the brief. I called the owner, and he q…

It's a stock 3k and toyoglide at the moment. There is one small spot of rust in the engine bay 3cm long which is being cut out and welded when it gets a fresh coat of paint in the next couple of months. Hi guys. I'm new here so if it any rookie mistake please let it go. I'm a big big fan of Jap and Aussie old school. Maybe seen too many of them at Calder Park when I was a little younger. And guess what? I finally own one. I picked up this little KE from a mate's brother. It comes with a very healthy 5k, 5 speed. Plans are: - Change the color to dark cherry red - A set of old school wheel with white wall - Change the interior - Fix up bit and pieces.

Thought I'd better start a new topic instead of posting too many times in the KE2* Members thread. So here's the new rolla. I always wanted a te27 and will have one some day  but thought this might make a neat replica in the meantime. Genuine 50 something thousand miles on the clock. Have the books showing original delivery date and owner's details. Services at 1000 miles, 6000, 12,000, 30,000, etc. Funny to see the books and read the service dates- all long before I was born. Photos speak for themselves I spose.

Hi corolla people. I`m gonna introduce my project. It`s a Corolla Ke26 Wagon from 1971 and it`s one of very few still allive here in Norway. Bought it this winter and the wagon is in stock condition with no uppgrades of any kind. The powerplant is the "angry" 3k engine but it`s running nice to be that old. It have been repainted for some years ago with various results. My first task is to get it free from rust and do a major service on the suspension and brakes. Sorry for my Petter Solberg english but I'm norwegian you know :D Feel free to comment. Taking it appart Some rust... and building foam... :y: New metal …
