ok, boys....just bought a 1982 TE72 2 dr sedan 3TC, t50, factory air. it's been sitting 4 years; i put a battery in it, turned the key, and it fired right up. it runs on 3 cylinders, but the compression is good....160-170 on all cylinders. it smokes some until it warms up, the carpet is ruined from the clutch master cylinder leaking, the carb is plugged up. my plan is to lower it 2", do the exhaust (no muffler on it now) weber, extractor, fix the a/c. i LOVE the way david's car turned out....fook's too. the whit with a black hood looks awesome. pics when i get them $250usd. *edit* oh yeah....his name is "Bubba"

Hey all, I have been looking around asking dumb questions for long enough I thought I should make a contribution to this wonderful site. Here is my 1980 Toyota Corolla Ke55 with a 4k and 5 speed manual. This is how it looked when i got it and I drove it this way for a few years. Then I became obsessed and started doing things..... Got venetians and put nicer Ke30 lights on. Ahhh ... much better.... Then painted window surrounds black and got some 40 dollar steal rims to replace the stockies. They look great. So after a few weeks with him getting in contact with her in wollongong we arranged a day and time to go down (from Bathurst) and have a look (Friday). I bought the ke30 2dr in September 2004 transported it on a trailer to my garage and left it. It sat untouched until in May this year I finally got my lazy ass out to the garage and started having a look at what I could do. It needed a whole new interior but I figured an engine refresh was the first thing to do so that at least I could drive it around while I slowly fixed the interior. Hey guys, Recently bought myself a 82' Flat front ke70. Bought it off "old fella" on here. I had been looking for a few months before i found one i was keen to buy. It has a rebuilt engine, with a 25/65 cam, new exhaust etc. Was by far the best ke i came across in my price range. I wont be going all out on this car as i have a 78 XC falcon that takes up the majority of my spare time and a 77 120Y datto that takes up the rest. Ke10 Gettin some Lovin I bought this car for my brother who has a 20 valve ke10 of the same era. I pretty much purchased it to keep for parts for him, but I kind of liked it too much and decided to teach myself car restoration instead. :drinks: Bought on ebay in 2009 still on reg. The car was originally from Sandringham Motors Melbourne it is a 1968 ke10 made in Japan with a 4 speed. It had an Original motor with recent head fitted, new fuel filter and hoses but its valves seals are worn or it has cracked rings as it blows white smoke. hey guys finally got around to picking up this little gem from a old bloke the next town over for $300. had been sitting since 2008 when the rego ran out, so we rocked up this arvy with a jerry can and a battery......long story short few pumps on the pedal and SHE LIVVVESSSS!!! so down to the important stuff: 18R-C backed by a 4 speed manual, all original granny spec including untouched uncracked original dash with original radio and tape deck, all original chrome hub caps, phat ass grille :) few spots of rust here and there, but nothing unfixable. only have one pic at the moment guys :( will be taking some more tomorrow 4 sho. new pics added!!!

Hey there just about finished me ke55 project, it got a 400 chev with a tunnel ram and twin carbs, gearbox is a 3 speed t400, also a 9in diff billet axels, 4 link rear end, rear end is tubbed fitting the 17x12.5 fr Simmons with 315 tyre's, it has full 6 point roll cage sheet metal seats and sheet metal dash with autometer gauges and carbon fiber b&m shifter, porshe 4 spot front brakes and xf falcon rear, it got a complete ke30 front and ke 30 taillights and rear bar I think they are a better shape, car is in for paint now will put picks up soon, only have build shots at the moment, can't wait to drive it

G'day all, this is my new project which I have only had for a couple of days. It's a stock 1980 ke55 SE sedan 4k Auto (slug-o-matic) which I picked up for $350 unregistered. My plans are to put in a 5-speed box and fix a couple of minor issues, such as the drivers guard has had a small hit and the front bumper needs to be straightened slightly. Other then that it's quite a tidy example of this model. Anway I know your all dying to see some pics so here she is. :)

I have been working on my Peanut for the past few months bit by bits and so far I'm %75 done. My car came with an extra rebuilt 3K motor when I purchased the car. I was going to put 4AGE in it, but decided at the meantime since money right now is pretty tight the rebuilt 3K would sufice fro now. The car came with a K40 4speed tranny, but I was lucky enough to get a K50 5speed tranny from a Starlet at a local salvage yard. The K50 bolts right in with no modifications needed. I am also putting in a dual Mikuni 40s sidedraft setup with my stock motor. I also have a K series header, but I am having clearance issues because of the steering box on the way. I bought it two years ago knowing a little about cars, I saw a picture of it and it was exactly what my dad used to drive for many years, actually his was an AE71 pano but same same. hey all, well yesterday i purchased my first ke30! straight overrated body, fendor mirrors, overrated interior, 5k engine and 4spd box. few questions as i have never had a car with leaf springs. 1- how do i go about lowered the rear 1.5inches approx? 2- what front shock/spring setup can i use for the front? coilovers? 3- engine is a 5k, what carbie setup should i look at? 4- what gearbox should i look at for a 5speed? i don't really wanna change much as i wanna keep it as original (body and inside) as possible. gonna hit up some r31 chaser wheels with white walls for a clean old school look. cheers

Had the car nearly 5 years and it wasn't 'till this year when the cv's needed replacing that I bothered to do anything with it. Replaced the green/blue/gray(what colour is it!?) original dash top with a black one from a POS seca I bought for the factory alloys 'cause there was five of them. Changed the gauge faces and added a clock. The rear window wiper wasn't working so I shaved the back. I've tried a couple of different front bumpers, still not quite happy yet... Hey, i've been doin this for about 6 months now. i have it at work so i do a bit on my lunch breaks, after work when i can and on sat mornings. thought i'd put up a bit of it.
