  3. I came across this forum which I just joined in hopes of someone being able to help me with a vehicle that I getting ready to purchase. It's a Toyota Tamaraw FX with a 7K Engine (1.8Liter). Have no Owners Manual and am wondering where I can find info about this engine since their is limited info on the internet. Also, if I were to pull the 7K Engine (only has 69K on the engine) from my Tamaraw, would a 3C engine fit inside the engine bay (since the 2C-Diesel engine was the alternative engine for this vehicle). If I were to want a little more get up and go, would the 2C-T be a better option? I am a retired American Air Force veteran who is married to a Filipina and ha…

  4. 1969 - 1973 KP/UP30 Publica In 1969 Toyota released a whole new generation of the Publica. It had a new engine and a new image. While the 2U engine was retained in the cheapest versions, the cornerstone of the lineup was the new K Series 4-cylinder, water cooled 1000 cc engine (designated 2K). The Publica SL was also launched in 1969, which featured a 1.1Litre K-B twin caburetor engine but in 1970 the engine was replaced with a 1.2L 3K-B. There was also an offical pickup version. 1970 saw more minor changes including (but not limited to) a new instrument panel, and a new High Deluxe version featuring the single-carburetor version of the 1.2 L engine and front…

  6. Picking up a front end damaged KE50 tomorrow and am going to part it out before it hits the Scrap metal yard just wondering if anything will fit into a KE10 for example Manual Pedal Box--is the clutch cable interchangable? Front Struts Brakes Diff etc. If your after anything from it let me know the car is complete besides the front end damage has the tacho dash and rarer steering wheel from the ke50, I assume this is interchangeable between the ke30/35/55 am I correct?

Engineering and roadworthy are starting to loom in the background as progress on my ke25 is being progressful so I've been looking deeper into legal stuff lately. So my 25 has no tyre placard and I'm looking for CONCRETE info on what the factory rim and tyre specs were. A few conflicting opinions have been seen around the interwebs... A photo of the placard would be ideal and would settle any doubt! Now to go one better, does anyone know what the te27 specs were? and even more so a photo of the te27 placard. You see I know a bloke who knows a bloke who can make replacement placards if provided with the correct informations...

Where can I get some of this? I need a sheet about as long as a Corolla is wide, and maybe a meter or a little less wide. So what's that... about 2x1m? Something reasonably stiff, maybe 3-5mm thick or something. Nick: You work in a hardware store, do you stock this sort of thing? Kinda like MDF sheeting, except not made of MDF :D I know Paul P used some on his Supra ages ago, but I can't find the post that said what he used.

Don't know if this has been covered before, but I'm just wondering what everyone thinks of their rolla. What one or two things do you love about it more then anything else, and what do you loath about it? I love the fact that my 32 year old car is morre reliable then some newer cars, and i can fit it in the smallest of car parks, without power steering! On the down side, ...well a bit more grunt up hills... but i love it anyway! Discuss

I'm getting a JZX100 Mark II next month, because it suits all my requirements for a midsize RWD manual sedan, with at least 200kw, and not a falcodore. Which got me thinking... Seriously... why did Toyota AU bother creating the hopelessly unremarkable and wrong-wheel-drive TRD Aurion (or, Frankencamry as I like to call it) when things like this have been majestically tearing up the streets of Japan for years? GRX-120 = 3GR-FE Supercharger Rear Wheel f@$king Drive 56k click here and come back tomorrow I will probably upgrade to one of these in a few years as they become available for import. Toyota AU, you suck. Really. If it weren't for grey impor…

I took the falcon down to the local goodyear tyre & auto this morning to get a nail removed from the front tyre and discussion turned to corolla's and k motors. He told me he had built and raced a reliable n/a 3k with 165hp @ 8000rpm at the rear wheels, dyno tested. The 3k wasnt in a corolla but in some type of sprint car and it ran on methanol (sp?) but would still have similar hp on premium I would think. The guy says he spent a heap of time, money and a few blown k blocks finding the right set up but when it was done he could run the engine at 8000rpm continuously for the whole race meeting for the whole year without a rebuild. Said it would actually spin up t…

At the recent SEMA motor show in the US, TRD displayed a new Toyota Tundra concept with TRD bodykit, wheels, brakes... and supercharged 5.7L V8. This shows that TRD is planning on releasing a supercharger kit for the upcoming 5.7L V8. As the 4.6L version of this engine (with direct injection) makes 380hp, and the 5.0L version is meant to make 420-450hp, I'd expect the 5.7L version to be over 400hp. And TRD superchargers generally add about 25% more power, so is anyone else interested in a 500hp Toyota V8? Can anyone say HSV eater?

Hey guys since my superlites didn't really workout i was thinking of widening my steel wheels thats already on my corolla. I can have it done for around 120 per wheel with a polished lip and this way i could choose my offset and width. I'm was thinking of running flares with some 14 x 7.5 with -15 offset? which should fill flares very very nicely. What do people think it would look like? I can't decide, would probally leave the centers black and stretch some lower profile tyres on of course. Heres a pic as it is now:

OK, I'm working on making a scoop for the cold air intake on the KE70, as I noticed it runs rich or lean on a long trip depending on the wind direction! This is becasue the headlight shields the cold air intake tube beside the radiator. So I have a model made up out of cardboard, and thought.. why go to all the trouble of making it up in sheet steel when I can cover the cardboard with something and harden it enough to keep its shape and be weatherpoof! Any ideas? Anyone done something like this? Fibreglass epoxy resin? Clear urethane floor 'varnish'?? 5 coats of enamel?? :hmm:

Hello i recently purchased this 69 toyota 1000 wagon, i know its not really a corolla but hopefully you find it interesting anyway. It has a few issues such rust in various places, the brakes are toast, rattles in the suspension, a nasty interior, no heater unit, the usual home done wiring specials and exhaust leaks etc etc but i love it ;) so the plan is to tidy up the rust and mechanical faults to make it roadworthy, drive it for a while and then do paint and panel with some small mechanical mods, something along the lines of a 4k, k50 and disc brakes for the front. ive pulled the brake master cylinder to have it refurbed and brake linings sen…
