Hey all, fairly new to the Corolla community. I am wondering if anyone knows what the black box looking thing next to the battery tray is called and what it does, it has nippondenso written on it. I would upload a photo but I'm having trouble as file is to big. Cheers in advance :)

Hey Everyone, I'm looking to buy a KE30 to use as a hillclimb / rally car. I've found one but it has a rusty firewall. The plan was to actually road register this car with minimal work. The paints pretty shoddy but original, its a 4 speed 3K engine. I was originally looking for a Gemini, but with the inflated prices people are asking for them ( when they arnt worth it ) i've decided to open my eyes to other cars and i think the KE Series of Corolla's may be it. I'm a big bloke, 6ft and 90kg i've got a big frame but i felt at home sitting in the KE30! I've never worked on a corolla so i don't know what is hiding behind the rust such as joins etc so i would like…

Hello all. I recently purchased a recod 2 speed toyoglide for my 1976 ke30 sedan. Fitted up all good until I tried to connect tail shaft. It seems my old gearbox and tail shaft have 19 tooth spline, whereas the new gearbox has a 15 tooth spline. Help in this mater would be greatly appreciated.

Well, certainly hundreds of thousands if this article is right! Buy a "new' car that has spent two years sitting out in the weather somewhere! No thanks... Amazing waste of the planet's resources, but all those car companies are "too big to fail..." http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-05-16/where-worlds-unsold-cars-go-die

I thought this would be a good topic to bring back some memories. The car in question would be my TE Cortina. 250 x-flow Some mild cam 350 Holley Pacemaker Extractors 2.5" Sports Exhaust 4 Speed Manual When I first got this car and took it for a test drive, it scared me and it took me a good couple of months to get used to it as well. I sold it a couple of years back and towards the end of last year, I found the car sitting at a self-serve wrecker. It had majorly rusted sills, broken exhaust and still had the seat covers on it that i took off my sister after she sold her Euro Escort. What car was your fastest and have you ever seen it again?

Hey guys, I'm writing to see how many of you guys on here have a nice clean early model corolla that we will be able to hire (you drive your own car) for around 6 hours. The wedding will be held in Mclaren Flat on the 6th December this year. If anybody has any contacts, or car and the day free, please email me on [email protected] as I don't come on this site as much as I used to. To be more specific, I am after anything in nice clean condition, from 1960s-1980s, crown, Cressida, preferably corolla, show me what you got! You will definitely be getting paid for the day and your car will be part of our wedding! Thanks guys!

Hi Rolladudes/Dudettes I'm looking at a crowd in the US (goliners on ebay)that make headlinings supposedly to factory patterns, for every car that you can imagine. Having said that, it comes out at $300 US posted which aint cheap. The guy was kind enough to send me a sample of material. It has a different pattern from the factory headliner which is a queer dimpled pattern on a 73 KE25. Anyone have any experience of this seller, or a GOOD option locally? I'm not confident mine will survive removal and reinstallation and it needs to be changed to black anyway. Also flagging that there is a KE36 headlining currently cheap and not well identified on a cer…

Hey Guys Looked all over the net but can't find a answer to my question! Can I stick weld stainless steel intake tubing. I know I can weld stainless steel with certain rods but I have no clue what thickness stainless steel or what rods? I know the welds wont be as pretty as mig or tig but this is not for a beauty contest it just needs to seal the piping to make sure there's no leaks. What size would you fella's recommend for the tubing? Cheers in advance for the info.

Ke20 with ke70 discs. I use it for street sprints etc.. Not wanting to mess around with an upgrade right now, just improve what I have, I have found a few options in brands and am looking for the best braking performance. Noise and dust irrelevant! Rotors dba standard solid discs or adb dimpled and slotted Pads bendix ct, ferodo racing, adb performance. If I cld buy bendix ultimates I would but from what I can see they don't make them. Any better options out there or which would you choose?

Hey guys. Its awkward sharing this because alot of rollaclub members are P platers. About 10 times in the last week i have seen stupid little weeds treating their corolla's like they are f@$kin 600hp drift cars. What really set me off (and I'm still worked up), was a fat little c**t and his 12 foot tall mate in a red ke70 here in toowoomba, almost took out a woman and her kids in a car, revving the ring out of the poor old bitch, just driving like f@$kheads in general, so i gave them a few "words". Then they followed us around for half an hour while my fiance held me in the car, still wanna beat the snot out of them and help them wake up!! I remember being that age, learn…

Hi all. just purchased my first ever corolla. I'm 36 and had plenty of cars from vlt's to vy clubby. Thought it was time for a neat little 4 cylinder. My ke55 is completely granny spec. Still a 4 speed (which will be the first thing I swap out). I was going to do the normal 4age thing when I noticed I still have matching numbers and want to build a tough little 4k. I have read the thread's and have a good idea of what I want. I'm hoping someone in victoria can recomend an engineer/mechanic that knows the 4k to build my engine. Will be doing the brakes and suspension as well. Will take and post photos as it takes shape. I had no idea corollas had such …

I've found a 1990's Corolla Csi full time 4- wheel drive wagon with under 100,000 on the odo which appears to be in good shape. It has a 4A-FE engine and an Auto tranny. Does anyone know if there is anything specific to look for when contemplating buying this car? I am thinking of the transmission in particular as well as any other problems that they might develop if not serviced properly. What would a good one be worth? Any advice gratefully received. Thanks v much.

Hey, I've been looking at getting a new radiator as mine is practically see through. However I've found the price to be pretty high. I can't find anything less than around 300 but yet you can get a ae71 alloy one for less than 200. My question is why? Why is this so much cheaper than this? Yes one is 3 row and one is 2 but are they not similar? Could you just buy an ae71 rad and get the bottom inlet moved to other side and end up cheaper? Any input/ experiences helpful. Cheers, Chris

I have the Tayell Automotive product in my Borg Warner Diff. Its basically 2 metal plates and a few springs that exert pressure on the gears in your diff. Its claimed to send power to both wheels, whilst still giving enough slip to drive normally in car parks. Mine was tight as all buggery over 2 years ago, however the spring stiffness drops over time. Then its a simple case of swapping the springs with new ones. $250 for the initial setup, and $100 everytime you need the springs changed. Mine is a few years old and is still works fine to this day. The bloke reckons the springs should last "at least" a full season in a rally car. I'm pretty sure he is happy for…

Greetings all, We see lots of photos of awesome Corollas on here which we all love, but I've been thinking... :hmm: ...they're all stationary! So I thought how about a page dedicated to photos (and video links) of Corolla's in action...doing what they do best! I'm talking drifting, motorkhana, rally, burnouts, paddock bashing and even AE model reverse donuts if we have to :lolcry: !! Whatever floats your boat, so long as its a Toyota Corolla and its moving or smoking! Some ideal examples to get things started...the birth of Corolla racing in KE10's in Australia What does everyone think? Cheers, Tom
