Heyo. Turns out my camber tops I bought don't come with studs as they reakon you use your existing ones. So where would one go to locate such studs suitable for camber tops? I don't mean some dodgy bolts from k&d I want the proper studs Thanks!

The Ae71 is running superb and not giving me any hassles which is great  However I'm having a little trouble, (more of an annoyance really) when it come's to starting it. Cold, starts fine, hot also starts fine. If I get out of the car and leave it for a few minutes it's fine but if I leave it for 20 minute's or so it's a bastard to start. I have to hold my foot to the floor which seem's to get it to fire after maybe 6 second's of cranking. If anyone could shed a little light on this that would be great.. I mean sure if it was hard to start all the time I'd have places to look, but its only once its hot and has been sitting for a short period of time... …

I've done some research on the internet but would just like some clarification. My car has 310,000 km's i've read that the thicker the oil the better it is to make up for "play" in worn parts in the motor. I've read of people 10w30 but i've also rad about full synthetic 5w30 being better, what would you blokes recomend?

I'm wanting a lower ratio diff for my KE50 caus I live in the country and basically 1st gear is pointless and 5th is still sitting around the 4k mark at 110, so I was hoping there might be a lower ratio diff alternative - presumably out of a KE55 Auto? Can anyone tell me the diff ratio options that were available for KE55? cheers, KJ.

Ok so I bought a supposedly built 3tc motor today and popped the tapper cover and found double valve springs which was a good start. Other mods so I have been told are o/S valves, cam , springs , porting, has a weber 32/36, and also he said its been over bored to fit 22r pistons. Has anyone ever heard of this or is this guy on crack??? I thought that 89mm was the max for a 3tc. Any info would be great Guys.

Hi there guys As the title says I can't for the life of me find this LEAK!! It's a ke30 4 door, I have tried the torch test, the hose test and I can't find reference to it being a common problem? It only comes into the two side compartments (where the jack is), not the wheel well, and once it's in it stays there til I empty it. The only time it leaks is when I drive in the rain, not when I wash it etc, so I'm thinking there are joins that open up under pressure? The real killer was last night I got home, the compartments were full and yet there was no water trail anywhere (dry dust where I thought it was coming from :bash: ) I see only 2 options-Go crazy with sikafle…

Ive noticed ke20 parts arw more available.... Ie can I use a Ke 20 diff in a Ke 10 or can I swap any panels between models etc. perhaps a thread people can post up what they have actually done rather than my " my mates uncles sisters dogs cousins wife one saw a bloke put a rotary in a golf kart" ( I would like to see this actually)

sorry guys i know it's not a corolla but it's still a toyota haha! the car is a 2.4 EFI corona, just wondering about idea's for custom home-made intakes some of you blokes have done or seen. Looking at building one my self as i find doing crafty stuff like that fun. i'm basically asking about what's been used, what size piping, how it was routed, gain or loss of power etc (yeah i know it's an intake and i won't gain 100 hp but it's just a little extra). if i go too big of an intake will i need to retune my motor to put more fuel in to cope with the extra air coming in? sorry about all the questions google just hates me! i've included 2 photo's to show my current sto…

my 38 dcoe sideraft carbs :) would it be worth putting them on a stock 4k with a set of extractors? better throttle response or power increase? I am pretty sure they were set up for a ford Kent motor 1600cc specs: 30mm venturis F11 Emulsion Tubes 180 air correction jets 140 main jets 45 f23 idle jets Just looking for a little feedback, maybe someone who has a similiar setup could shed some light, I'm kinda thinking that unless I modify my engine i probably wont gain much at all.. might just save these for another project..

Ladies and Gents, I was about to go and jack up my Rolla and stick some jack stands under it, but then I read you're not suppose to put a car on 4 jack stands? :blinks: Any thoughts on this? I was planning to put the jack stands on each one of the jacking points and place the tyres under the car (also on uneven slopping dirt surface but that's besides the point...)

hey hey, i know some one will ask eventually how to remove the pedal box so I'm going to write up a how to guide. Tools needed a decent socket set with metric sockets and spanners, Philips screw drivers and flat blade screw drivers and alot of patience. First off remove your steering wheel. You will need to remove the screws under and around the gauge cluster, the screws hold in the black plastic surround. Once that has been removed unscrew the 4 screws that hold in the gauge cluster and it will come out and remove all the plugs. Remove all the circled bolts and nuts. the two bolts along the top need to be removed the whole way along the dash pad. …

G'day guys, I'm a bit stuck, Wondering if anyone knows this. So i have a D dish 5k block and will be running the head off that. Now the cam chosen for my engine can only be done in solid lifter. Now, I have chev/ datsun combo that was going to be used for the turbo build which i scrapped but due to head heights etc.. So, Does anyone know what pushrod and lifter combination can be used to run the 5kc D dish head on the D dish block? Cheers, Jono

Where would I find them? Stupid enough question I know, but i've had a decent man's look and i've not turned up much success. I'm spraying my Rolla Gunmetal Grey and I want bolt ons for my rims to sit under (or should i say on? ;) ). What is the best way to go about this that people are aware of? I've seen some amazing examples, this one especially (see attachments) Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Was in bed last night flicking through a copy of Modern Motor from September 1967. In the what's new column, they detailed the "Endeavour Equipment Control Rod" for vehicles with a live axle suspended by semi-elliptic springs. It was a very simple set up, that these days would be very easy to replicate. In 1967 it cost $15. Essentially it is a trailing link on the drivers side, that is located between the U bolt bracket and the front spring mount following the line of the spring. The trailing link was situated underneath the spring. It required drilling a hole in the front spring mount to locate it. Then there is a panhard rod that is mounted diagonally f…

Ok so early this morning (Sneaky time when it was still dark) I drove to my local Exhaust Work Shop, walked around the back, opened the large bin to find a 6" long 3" diameter straight Exhaust Cutoff, and two 6" long 3" Diameter curved Exhaust Cutoff's.. And my plans are to make my own twin drift pipes.. My Ke70 is already running a 3" exhaust - Single pipe, but I want to cut it off about 8" from the rear of the car - Leaving me with a 3" exhaust running almost to the end of my keto without an exhaust tip.. I was wandering how I would go about making my own pipes though (How would I cut and weld them to fit) My plan is just to cut the left curved pipe at rough…

G'day i'm just about to go about doing the diff on the ke10, it's a jap diff and it could be an auto ratio because the car was auto originally. I'll be putting in ke30/55 jap axles for the 4x114.3. I'll be running a k50 along with it and in my experience i've always found the k50 to be pretty short in the gears for my liking, so i was contemplating swapping in another diff centre while it's apart to lengthen it out as much as possible. Now does anyone one know A; A stock ke10's diff ratio, and B; The lowest Ke diff ratio i can swap in and if it's worth it Any info or advice would be Overrated, Cheers! Edit. Oh For Fck Sake M.I.N.T >| :lolcry:

I have just purchased a corolla with a blacktop 20 valve 4wd , not knowing too much about them I would like to know if anyone might know what might cause a noise I have from I think the engine. It does not sound like a bearing noise more like a growling whirring noise increases with engine revs. It's a little bit hard to explain exactly kind of sound.

Hey guys, I'm fitting an intercooler to my rolla and I also want to keep the stock front end and street look without any intercooler / piping sticking out - in order to do this it looks like I have to cut the bottom radaitor support, now the question we hate ... is this legal? or am I going to expect trouble from the police / RTA? From my research it appears ok as long as some kind of bracing exists. Unfortunately I don't have a welder so i can't fabricate anything myself beside little metal brackets from alloy.
