Hey Peeps, I need a uni joint for my KE50 - and I am not sure if it's the same a a KE55 one, but I have been running into this problem.. Other parts that I have bought for my KE50/55E which I have ordered as standard 'KE55' parts, they've not fitted, or they've needed minor modifications.. So I want to make sure I get the correct universal joint.. Can anyone help as to where the best place might be to get one from in Adelaide (or anywhere in Australia - I am happy to pay postage). Cheers, KJ Mibus.

I hate starting threads but... 4age bigport 16v from an AE82 No O2 sensor When I start it, it will catch, chugalug, cough, sound sick so I turn it off. Wait a bit, (2-3 seconds) turn it back on. Start, and it will either do the same thing( go to line 3) or fire really good. So annoying. Ideas? EDIT: Should mention he 'said' he got a new ECU and MAP sensor?

Alright guys, I'm sure there's millions of these threads but I'm on iPhone and it'll take a rediculous amount of time so here we are. I know you can use the crow find a cam thing but I'd have know idea what it's like to live with. So, rebuilding the 5k to put in my ke10, k50 gearbox and possibly ke55 diff. Minimal head besides a skim, 32/36, extractors, dished piston motor. Looking for a bit more mid range pull and maybe a little more top end, nothing huge as I was planning to keep factory head gear and hydro litters as I wasnt sure if my datsun/ Chev combo works with the 5k head height. So yeah, any suggestions are greatly appreciated especially …

4k block with a 5k head in my Rolland. I took the head off the block a week ago to port and polish the head etc. When I took this head into the shop, the man said it is a 5k because it has small combustion chambers. Ok so from what I have heard, the compression this would be making may be WAAAAYY to high? QUESTION: WHY DIDN'T MY ENGINE RUN LIKE A DOG? IT DIDN'T EVEN HAVE THAT BARK TO IT LIKE A HIGH COMP ENGINE,AND IT DIDN'T SLOW THE ENGINE FAST WHEN OFF THE ACCELERATOR (like my old 4 with 3k head used to do.. WHY IS THIS ENGINE RUNNING FINE? Is there some way that the cam,or over sized bore and pistons are lowering the compression enough? Ok s…

hay guys , been thinking about the rear end suspention on my 55 and what I'm going to end up doing with it, any one got any good set ups for street driving that they like??? to be honest when i took the car off the road ,i had been driving around for over 3 years with a fliped leaf in the spring pack, and never had any problems, also had gas shocks and the stock rear sway bar which looks like its match stick thin, now since i have to go thru engineers at some point in time ,sorta have to do it properly ,and don't think flipped leafs will cut the mustard, even tho i never had a problem with them and i would put them back in like that ,but vic rules are off there h…

Hey guys I'm thinking about getting another ke70/ae71 and want it to handle like its on rails, i would pretty well like to know what i will need and what brands/ products to get. I'm also thinking about a 4age conversion in gime too but keep the motor pretty well stock besides extractors and exhaust. My questions are, What suspension to use, shocks and spring kg ect? Swaybars? Brakes? Do i get strut braces? Wheel size, tire size and anything else to make the car as close to a gocart as possible with a reosonable budget 3-4 grand?

hey guys, So I'm having trouble at the moment starting my 4k.After sitting overnight, it will turn over first click. after running the car, and then turning it off after say 10 minutes, the starter motor will tick, after two or three times of turning the ignition, then it wont even tick at all. first i thought it was the starter motor, so i replaced that, checked all the wires running to it, and they were fine. but it is still having these problems. any help would be appreciated. Cheers, Andrew.

hey all, iv got a 5k with 32/36 weber? ( i think ) tighe 25/65 cam 10:1 compression premium 98 fuel i got it all back together today, and it was running fine for about an hour, i turned if off, to put a stronger spring on the throttle return, and didnt like it so i put the old one on again.. started it up, and then all of a sudden it just wouldnt idle.. it kept stalling.. so i turned the throttle up, and it will idle at around 1200+rpm, but if i slow it down to about 800-1000 it runs for about 5sec, then gets real rough and stalls.. is this because of: carby needing to be tuned? timing is wrong? or my dizzy needs to be adjusted? video of …

G'day, I'm fiddling with the front of my ke10 to get it a little more sorted while i build and buy all the stuff to rack and pinion it. So, I know ke20 springs fit in a ke10 but they're not quite stiff enough for what i'm after. So, I'm after something a little stiffer still, Out of another factory car, Sort of like Dori boys do with falcon springs in a ke70. But no, I don't want falcon springs in my ke10 :lolcry: And yes i'll probabily get the suggestion of kings etc, But i can't justify $160~ for 3-6 months of onroad use until my alternate front end goes in. Cheers

Hi guys, Dad and I have been surfin' eBay for the last few weeks for Weber Carbys for Ollie, and we stumbled across this one. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-WEBER-32-34-DMTL-CARB-CARBY-LANDROVER-LAND-ROVER-/330605977866?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4cf9a6e10a It's a 32/34 Weber Carby with Manual Choke from a Land Rover (presumably from an older model one). I asked dad if it would work on my 4K, and he said he couldn't see why not, having smaller jets than the very common 32/36. I'm not saying he's wrong because I'd like to get one, but before I go out and buy one, I wanted to ask, and get opinions and suggestions from the brains of the "Weber on K…

Hey there. I've been trying to build my own custom electronic ignition, but it's not working out how I'd planned. I want to get her running for the GOR. So, I'm after a How - To 4k to 4age on carby distributor setup. I have the parts, just need to know exactly what the set up is. I need to know how the distributor is put together. I remember seeing it somewhere when I first started the build but can't seem to find it again. Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys. EDIT: for clarification.

Hi all, just wondering if someone can help me out, first of all I did do a search but couldn't find an answer to my specific question but I apologize if i just didn't search quite the right thing. So, I have a 1989 Toyota Corolla seca sx with the 100kw 4A-ge, 270,000kms, pod filter, extractors and full 2 1/2 or 2 1/4 inch exhaust. Now my problem is that it will not idle when it's cold, ever. It will always stall until it starts to warm up, even my rather tired ke-70 with 678,000kms will start first turn and idle nicely, just wondering what I should do as I thought these cars had an idle up feature for cold starts??

Hi guys, this is my maiden post on rolla club, so i'll start with a short intro.. i'm an r31 enthusiast, also own a '78 mk1 golf and an s13 sivia, and now also a t18 :) from sydney. Question: I recently picked up a 3tc powered t18, and have installed a single side draft manifold and a dellorto dhla 45. There is quite a lot of vacuum garbage that is no longer needed however i would like to retain the vacuum advance. the dellorto does not have vacuum anywhere on it. i have hooked up the brake vacuum to the manifold. am i able to t piece the brake booster vac for the dizzy? or is that a bad idea? can i just tap into one of the manifold runners and run v…

Ok guys, trying to find a mirror that would look good on my ke70 and can't find anything that i like, so i have decided to run the standard door one that comes on the 83, but i really want a left hand side one too, because as you might know they don't come out with one. So i figured i could try and get one off a left hand drive one but i can't find any at all. Could someone please help me out if they have one or know where to get one from, even a suggestion of different type mirrors that i could run keeping i mind i don't like round ones :) Cheers :D :y:

Recently perchased chrome bumpers for my corolla off kay parts. I received the bumpers with no mounting brackets. test fitted them over the stock mounting brackets on the car (was planning to just make brackets on the bumpers) front sits fine but the rear bumper has about 2-3 cm gap between the body and the bumper. If anyone has made custom brackets for chrome bumpers it would be alot of help if you could give me some ideas of how to fit them. cheers

hey guys, I'm pretty new to rollaclub, i just got myself a ke70 corolla and I'm lovin it, but i want to get a bit more power out of it without doing an engine conversion, so far I'm getting some 10:1 compression pistons, 277 degree cam, twin barrel webber carby and some extractors and exhaust system, but someone suggested to me to get a 3k bigport head and shave it down a bit, but i don't really know much about it, just wandering if anyone else here has done it? and if so how much can i shave off? and basically i want to get as much power as i can out of the 4k without turboing it so any other suggestions on how to make it faster would be appreciated, and also i havent bo…
