hey guys, a few of RC people might know my TA22 build "voodoo ta22" as majority know aftermarket suspension parts etc for old school toyotas are a bit of a pain to find. i have stumbled across www.technotoytuning.com and they have a massive range for TA22 but my only question is has anybody used this company before or know of anyone who has etc before i go spending cash on stuff in the US. any advice/opinions good or bad highly appreciated. they also sell KE70, KE30, KE70 and various other early model Toyota, Datsun parts.

We pulled a strut out whle we were doing other things under there and popped the shock retaining nut off. It is a wet shock, not an insert, factory I assume, so it can be modified to any sort of bump or rebound we would like. However it will never be gas pressurised! The next retaining ring down in the strut has a flat top and 3mm two pin holes, so I assume there is a steel tube tool with two pins sticking out of it that unscrews that ring and allows the whole shaft and foot valve to be removed. Then we can redrill bleed valves or seal them up and change the oil.... Anyone got one for a KE70 or knows what they look like??

Gday lads, i've been searching high and low on forums for straight information, and as per usual the internet stirs the pot with whats works for one or another, I'm doing a turbo 3tc with a t04e and have a dgav 32/36 weber with k&n blower hat. As far as i have gotten so far is to pinch some jets out of a weber 34adm from a xe falcon, and combined with my jets i picked up in my weber. I have researched what is adequate to run a 3t standard for the primary barrel. I have research ozgemini for a good guidance forum with pictures, and 3tcgarage has given me tips on jetting to start to work by and what to get the car going(N/A). My problem is that i havent had …

G'day guys. Been doing a bit of looking around lately at front suspension stuff. And usually when someone says about suspension for ke70's everyone says oh there's no shock options etc Well this may be an option. Turns out, AW11 mr2 rear shocks will fit in KE struts. Supposedly around 50-70mm shorter. Apparently 85-87 AW11 rear inserts only work though, As later than that they're too big. The thing is you can also buy these in aftermarket spec, in shorter stroke still and adjustability as well i'm pretty sure? There's no AGX option available but Koni and Tokiko apparently make them. I can't confirm this 100% but i'm looking into having a crack …

I was wondering on peoples opinions on putting a SC12 on a 16v 4AGE smallport (N/A) So it will be high comp. I'm not planning on running massive boost. What would I be needing to change/upgrade to get it to work. Rough figures on price would be ripper! As its possibly to buy 4AGZE so I obviously I wouldn't want to spend more than one of those cost So what I assume currently is: Bigger injectors- 7mgte or 4agze, is there any other options? New ecu- could a 4agze be used? or aftermarket? Intercooler and plumping setup. Some what modified loom or possibly 4agze one? Not sure what would be necessary here New intake manifold or 4agze or will it fit the standard…

Okay guys i've had a few people ask me how i went about ke20 disks on my ke10. So Yesterday and today when i converted my ke10 to ke70 brakes i took some photo's. I know there's already a write up in Faq but this is more a noob based guide. Okay, So before you go ahead and do the conversion, you have options. Which brakes do you want to use? Ke20: Smaller brakes, Older, 4x110 Stud pattern - Will fit your original 12" wheels Ke30: A little larger, 4x114.3 (Ke70 stud pattern) unsure of if 12's will fit, Doubtful Ke70: The same as ke55, Thicker than ke30 with Girlock brake calipers. 4x114.3 Here's a point though, The hubs are interchangable…

G'day guys. I've got some widened steelies about to go on my ke10, they're datsun 1200 ute rims according to my mate. The centre-bore of the rim is bigger than a conventional ke70 etc centre cap, so i can't use them.. The bore is 67mm.. So my main question is does anyone have any idea of what Toyota centre caps would fit? As i want them looking kinda stock-ish And before it's mentioned i know i can get aftermarket mag wheel caps and just slap toyota logo's on them but that's really not what i'm after.. Any ideas? Cheers!

hahaha I'm kidding ;) but I am having a little bit of trouble with one component. I have just recently bought a 4age manual out of a (jap spec).. ae82 (1982) red top. big port and was fwd. but when I bought it, I didn't get an ecu or a dizzy. as it was from a wreckers. I went out not knowing this and bought an ecu for an ae92... and a dizzy to suit that same model. dam... did not fit. so my question is. what ecu can I get for this piece of, lovely goodness engine I have taking up space at work. hahaha I have thought after market but even then I'm not sure cause there is so many to choose from. any help would much greatly appreciated!!…

Hello guys. I have a quick question, due to my location we don't have a hell of a lot of parts cars to chose from, but the stuff we do have is usually free, Now I have access to many st and rt142 coronas, some with a disk rear end and some without. I'm wanting to run the disks to kind of match my 4 pot hilux calipers, Autho simply bolting disks onto the standard borgy is hardly worth it, That's where I want to use the corona gear, every thing is slightly bigger and a track increase that I'm happy with, plus I have access to a heap of cars for spare axles and centers, That comes to the question, how far off are the mounts? I know that you can g…

Kind of an odd one but does anyone here know much about the availability of second hand brake assist devices for heavy vehicles?? I'm only interested with the eddy current brake or the water/hydro brake for a home job that I have been concocting. Main thing would be the average price for one of these units and something capable to withstand something like 300 lb/ft. I haven't called any truck wreckers as I'm not exactly sure what to ask for or if many trucks came with these types of brake assists. I think buses mainly use them because they are much quieter than exhaust brakes. Any info would be great! Cheers!

Hi Everyone, I'm currently working on my AE94 Sedan its pretty much an AE92..i don't know why it's called the AE94.. anyway, i have searched tirelessly..but can never find a definitive answer, so I'm hoping this thread will cover it.. 1. What gearbox from factory came into the AE92 SX GTi? 2. For the AE92, thicker swaybars in the back = better handling?? (i want to go whiteline 24mm in the back and 22mm in the front) 3. Who on the forums have done an AE92 4AGE 20V Swap? i have queries regarding the loom in terms of connecting Speedo, fuel pump, everything really.. (my frontcut donor is an AE101 4AGE 20V Silvertop) thanking you all!!

G'day guys. I've got a pair of Excel G Rear shocks here, 344223. Which suggests Mitsubishi. They look practically new, i bought them off a mate of mine who had them in his 3tgte T18. No i know Excel G's are stiff, but i'm beginning to think these are fubar.. Pushing down on them neither me, or any of my mates can get them past about 10mm compression, and it's a bloody stiff 10mm.. Been pulling all kinds of Hulk moves on these bad boys and can't figure it out. They've been in his car and he reckoned they haven't been laying down.. So is it likely these are Fubar'd? Or need to be used to soften up?

Hey guys, I have a K50 5 speed that is missing the shifter assembly. Unfortunately I am having a dog of a time trying to find one anywhere. I have found a wreckers in SA that has a shifter assembly to suit a T50 (from a KE70) and wanted to see if anyone knew if these were able to be used on a K50 box. I have searched all over the web for answers and can not get a definitive yes or no. Found a tonne of forums where people have wanted to fit a KE70 short shifter to a k50 or similar and have speculated that it looks like it might work and they were going to try "this weekend" but they never came back to say if it did or not. If anyone has a T50 and K50 box they can loo…

Hey everyone, can anyone tell me what gearboxes these are. The first one is a 5 speed and I am pretty sure it is a k50 The second on is a 4 speed but nfi what model it is, and have not been able to find a picture of one similar to it anywhere. I have tried every possible search on google images and in these forums, but no luck. They are both from a 4k engine and have identical bell housing bolt patterns, the extension housing bolt pattern is a lot different however and appears not to be interchangeable.

But now have the problem with TERRIBLE fuel eco. my mate who was following me while i was giving it a boot said it was blowing black smoke all thru the rev range. 60L of 98 octance just got 300km. timing was set at the factory 8 degrees. but i could feel like it didnt want to pull nicely. therefore bumped it up to 15, went a little beter then laster bumped it up to 22! now it ʞ©$ɟing PULLS! heres a pic of the plug any ideas on what to check? o2 sensor. afm? tps? vac leaks?

Hey, I'm looking for some old school style tyres for my rolla, but don't want to pay $300 a tyre and wait 3 months from "Antique Tyres"... I'm not interested in getting whitewalls painted on my current tyres, because I want the old school shape and tread pattern of the classic tyres. I'm also not interested in those white wall flapper things, the look terrible. So does anybody know anywhere else I can get some geniune whitewall tyres from? 155/R12 to be more specific. Thanks. Joe. Call me on 0411 573 235 if anybody has anything personally for sale.

G'day guys. Just thought i'd chuck up something i did today. I pulled my Ke10 dash cluster apart and removed the MPH speedo dial with the intention of scanning it in and making a kmh one, When i had an idea.. I found a ke20 dash cluster i had laying around my house, and pulled that apart as well, and sure enough.. it'll fit!Z It all lines up, 60mph is where 100mkh is etc etc it's all sweet! And, Fits straight in! No mods needed, Went straight back together and looks factory Sweet!! Now i know what you'll say, it wont be accurate, but, from 40kmh up it is. It's just because of the ke20's '0' is in a different spot to ke10's so the low…
