well ive got myself a project...was only going to be a repair and paint project but I'm thinking things are going to get out of hand as they do haha, has 5k with twin carbies, 5speed kp61 starlet gearbox, cut springs in the front and taken the second biggest leaf spring out of the rear but will soon put it bak in and put 2inch blocks in as the leaves are 2 soft now haha, painted it matt black and then the next day had a uhm..lets say..nudge? the next day.. so hunting more parts, hav found pretty much all of them in 2days haha, all i need now is chrome bumper, radiator and valance panel and I'm away.. will be painted capsicum green with gold pearl thru it, going to work th…

Okay, I've decided to list Lola in the Projects section. This topic will cover any stuff I do to improve her and also what I plan to do. Originally the Easy Rolla was going to be used as a motokhana car for me & my son however situations change and it now looks like being my daily driver. This has resulted in a need to rethink the whole direction of the car and a new plan has been born. Please can anyone tell me how to remove the roof lining from my KE35 Coupe? I have removed all the side covers, visors, light and seat belts.........but I think there may be clips and I cannot locate them.

I have decided to paint my coupe myself. What sort of paint should I buy? how far back do I take the old paint? will a 2hp compressor do? or should I buy a 2.5hp?

hey all .. thought it was about time i posted up some pics of the new shell ive been building to replace the rusted out old black thing... this is the car as i was and I'm sure a few of u have seen it around......then i decided it was too rusty and it was time to replace the shell.. so i found a very clean shell for $100 (had everything but the motor) and went to town.. as it stand right now the car is almost painted after some body mods.. and sanding, lots of sanding... i hate sanding now it looks like this! :cool:

Hey everyone i bought this 1977 KE30 about a month ago all the way in Dapto for 900 buks. The car looked in pretty good condition, not much rust, imaculate interior. I had the car stock for about 3 weeks and then came across these black racing wheels, 250 buks for 4 with rubber! Unfortunatly one was buckled so i used only 2 on the fronts. As soon as i got those wheels on i got syked and cut 2 coils off my front springs. As soon as i lowered the front i discovered how useless the stock shocks were, s i bought a pair of pedders gas shocks and also a pair of pedders lowered springs. Hi people, i am new to this forum, and would like some help with my car. I am a maltese national living in england and would like to bring over my car from malta. The car is a 1971 corolla sl, ke25 model. I satrted drag racing when 1 was 17yrs old, and after nearly 7 years, i want to build my own car. The sl is quite a good car, being light and rwd. The questions are, what is the best engine/transmission to use without too much hassle, preferably turbo. I just thought id stick my rolla into the Projects section. Most of you have seen it. But now its finally hit the track and will become a track car. on this page you can see I'm Famous already Bottom right. Here is its first track day captured by a pro. I think i did alright for my first time and on standard street rubber. I bought these 3 days later for the next run in a few weeks, the the other tires where too scary. 6 new tires and 8 spitfire2 rims for $600 how cheap it that:). These tires are around $220 each. I just couldnt pass them up. These rim/tire combo stick out around 1.5 inches out of the front guards so a set of bolt on guards are coming too…

started off as a piece of junk as most of ours cars do, it was a good buy tho picked it up cheap and has only got a rust spot the size of a 5 cent peice in the whole car so thats a bonus and yeah sent the motor away and fully upgraded the suspenion and now its just all the little things iam doing now but she is coming along slowly

well as some or you may know redback is going away soon ( had to upgrade to a wagon for the faimly) however i was allowed to get a project car for myself. managed to pick up a te72 out of the tradingpost got it for $250 minor surface rust in usual spots. a few small dents from something sittin on the roof for to long and same with the bonnet. needs a new clutch and some small rust holes in the bonnet. I'm still damn happy cos i got a te72 and its not in terrible condition YAY ;) ;)

i have a toyota corolla cs 85-87 model. it was given to me as a christmas present. but it came with a dodgy paint job and nothing done to it. i have lots of money and many ideas of what to do. I want to install a pioneer sound system which would set me back about 500 or more if i want a head unit,sub, an amp and 3 way speakers. i also want to get extractor and a sports exhuast system. another thing i forgot to mention is a new paint job and rims. if anyone has any other ideas please tell me id like to hear from ya cheers -RoBeRtO- ;)

Well I know I said to myself and everyone else I wouldn't touch this one but how can you not???? It's begging for the Craig touch. Big front brakes, bigger drums and a 5speed at least. I'v done a little bit of research today. R31 struts should almost be a bolt in affair. (Haha. Bolt in. Who am I kidding??) The bolt spacing for the steering arm is 80mm just like the ke20 and the strut height is only 20mm longer than a ke20. Probably end up with a little bit of increased track. I am just waiting to find out what the ID of the r31 spring is so I can work out whether or not I need to convert them to coilovers. That's it for now apart from giving it a was…

Hey All, my project has been on my mind alot lately and figured i let you guys know officially what's done and what's do be done. I bought the car from John from importbits as some guys from toymods might know him about 2-3 years ago. I had already just bought a sprinter shell off him and was about to do a 3tgte conversion when i spotted this ke25 sitting in his garage looking sad and un-loved. Hey I'm new here so I thought I'd show off my KE50 seeing as there's only one other one on the entire forum. They're definitely a rarity but chicks dig 'em and that's all that matters. Mine's a 77 model. Came with the 1166cc engine which was way too slow for my Dad when he owned it (132kph on-the-mat ) so he shoehorned in a water injected, T04 Rotomaster turbocharger way back in '79 for Mini Cooper S beating performance & 172kph max. (40kph increase on standard!!)T03 would've been a better match but they weren't round then. For extra grunt then came the switch for the big cubes 1290cc.
