Hi over here, long time no see, I'm back with another car. I already was here but no pictures are left on the old threads Many moons ago I had this KE71 That after a lot of hardwork came out looking like this And after a while without a RWD Corolla (I had an AE101 Corolla) I came across this, and I'm the proud owner of an 1973 Toyota Corolla, also known as mighty TE27. As a bit of history, the Toyota dealer for Uruguay is AYAX and it didn't import any Toyota until the 1980's so anything before that is very strange, so when I came across a sale post that reads "Toyota Corolla 1973" I had to have it, so I went to see the car, this are the fi…

So whilst technically this is the wife's car, I'm the one burdened with modifications, taking photos, and posting of pictures/stories in the appropriate forums. Introducing Daphne. Yes, we like to name all our cars. However, the first name my wife chose (Artoo, since she loves R2D2 and the blue is perfect) didn't quite gel when we decided after the first few days of ownership that HE was actually a SHE. So far, Daphne has come out as the likeliest alternative, but we're still not 100% sold on the name so it may change again the future. Anyhoo, Daffers is a 2018 Toyota Corolla Ascent Sport in Blue Gem metallic. She is kitted out as standard with 16"…

So I had the ghetto boosted hilux and it just wasn't making me happy. I really liked the r33 and was gutted I sold it to buy the ute for my failed attempt at a business. But I got a new job, paying well and a mate had a Rolla but needed a ute. And he wanted my ute. And after I test drove his car we swapped. So this is it. AE101 sedan with a blacktop 20v with a bunch of SQ goodies. Full exhaust. Coilovers. Sw20 seats. C56 (non lsd, yet). One of those defi style all in one gauges. Body is a bit rough but the grin on my face when I drive it is all that matters. I N D U C T I O N I'LL get some better pics in the next few days. Will hav…

I joined the states forums 8 or 9 years ago and at that time there was still active interest.....they were useful forums, Now.......extinct. apparently everyone has morphed into faceplant and twitter, I have written before, it is a shame. Our entire society has latched on to the internet technology as the only acceptable way from now on......we are going down a bad path. anyway, it is nice to see that this site still has some interest and valid posts.....CHeers to you all. I have finished my original SR5 te27 project and actually found someone to buy my SR5 clone project and now my next build is a 2 door 74 RT104 corona. Just wanted to say...HEY.

This is the reason i'm selling the ke20. Found this 25 on gumtree and had to get it Had a 4k with 32/36 weber, ke30 seats, 2" exhaust but otherwise stock. I got yokohama a539s for my hoshinos and slapped them on. Plans are just to slowly renew the thing but otherwise keep as is. Photos

Hi all, I'm a long time lurker short time member. I got addicted to Corollas over 10 years ago when a mate at Uni had a green KE10 with a 4K in it. We once lapped it around Mt Panorama to charge it after I helped him out with a jumpstart. It was a complete hoot and I've never forgotten it - Tommo, if you're reading this, hope you've still got her! Anyway, not quite a KE10 but I've gone and picked up a KE20. She was lurking on the other side of town, perched up on old gas tanks at the metal recyclers. They had picked it up at a deceased estate and it was in very sorry condition - filthy both inside and out, perished rims and tyres, starting to rust on the bottom …

Got this nice little 1 owner a few weeks ago with full log books, receipts and even a Polaroid of it when it was new, its my first Corolla and so far I love it Main reason I liked it so much was that it was kept stock its whole life so there isn't many parts I need to find and I thought it was quite rare to find one in this condition. The drivers side door had a good whack a few years ago the previous owner mentioned, I had to source a new glass window (got the whole door+mirror which was awesome). Wasn't as hard to find as I had firstly thought, other than that the passenger front guard has a small but decent dent in the front near the headlight and the c…

Well after 16 years of faithful, faultless motoring in my NCP10 Echo - I got a flat tyre. So I bought a new car! I'd been watching the development and release of the new Corolla and last weekend I put a deposit down on a 'Blue Flame/Eclectic Blue' manual Ascent Sport with the factory option Satnav/privacy glass/Double J radio pack. Evidently nobody buys manual cars anymore, let alone bright blue ones optioned with Double J radio, so at worst it will be on the slow boat from Japan to arrive "before Christmas!" I would love to have bought a 6 speed ZR but the geniuses at Toyota Australia didn't think they'd sell any. It strikes me that Toyota's best cars are…

Had this car for a while now and slowly getting there. It came with the green backyard paint job, jellybeans, threaded bolts, wheel well half full of water and spaghetti wiring amoungst other stuff. Needed a bit of tidy-up. Ive had a few 4 doors over time and managed to hang onto a few bits which went into this car. I bought a written off AE82 twincam and did the conversion. I rebuilt and installed an AE86 front end still with ADM calipers. Its not quick but I like the 4AGE. Grant from NZ did the interior, He's a legend. I love the styling of 70's 2 door OZ fords, Holdens, Chargers so I like my rollas to look ADM if that makes any sense. Theres been a few guys on thi…

Hello All, Posting this because in hopes to inspire as many corolla enthusiasts to finish their projects and share my story.. It seems the JDM corolla trend has died off some over the last few years but they're only getting rarer and more expensive.. I've owned 5 or 6 toyotas over the years, including 2 x mark 2 coronas, ke30's, ke55's, a v8 hilux and currently a v6 hilux.. 3 years ago i found a ke20 with ca18det installed located in tasmania and knew i had to have it.. i bought the car and brought it to sydney where i began the process of getting it engineered in NSW. I knew it would be a challenge but honestly had no idea it would take this long. No…

This is my ke30, owned her for 5 years and got me threw college as a collision tech. ... I bought it as a running project and every daily I had failed in one way or another but not my rolla! When there was 2 feet of snow on the ground she got me to work ( Ofcourse with falcon street tires I blew every stop light that winter in fear of not moving again) I'm now in a better position and want to take care of her as she did me. Very solid, very reliable... Lots to improve. Just got all guages to work and cleaned up engine bay.

Hi all, I have this nice beauty of a car, good old ke55 4 door sedan. Nice Toyota yellow with a mint condition interior. 4k-c engine with k40 gearbox. Been doing my own bits and pieces here and they're. Plus some added mods to give me classic extra grunt that is so much needed. So far I have - converted the the front grille from square to round plus added in some 7" Halo's wired up to my parkers. I'd bought the grille 2nd hand and gave it a good clean and paint. Plus remove/ fix dents and polish the chrome. - Added a set of 15" pos 8+ rims for style and over killed the tyres by getting bridgestones re003. Oh well. - next went with 4-1 e…

New here, first post and having a little difficulty posting text. Anyway, hope you guys don't mind a van owner hanging out in here. We bought this little Liteace a few months ago, which is not a Corolla but has a 5K engine under the seats. I have been lurking here trying to learn more about this thing. It runs surprisingly well, considering what must have been a lifetime of neglect: - changed out the plugs and wires - reset the timing - removed the restrictive inlet pipe that snakes its way to the air filter all the way from the front bumper - oil and filter - have a carb rebuild kit and new manifold gaskets, waiting for a good weekend t…

Well, as some of you may know i have a bit of a ke1x addiction... I still currently have my ke17 sprinter and a ke16 wagon but i've chasing this car for 5+ years and finally managed to buy it. Ke1x wagon is pretty much my dream car, and was a bit saddened when my current one (build thread on here) is too rusty to do much with... Now this one is not perfect, But it's pretty bloody good. Rust is minimal to none just some damage and bad paint to deal with. Luckily i have a full donor front end as the one with it was junk.. The plans for short term are try to make it run and stop so i can move it around easier, and then go over the whole car and make a lis…

Hiya fellow rollaclubbers! I've had a passion for ke30's for almost 20 years now, and thought I'd post up my slow going project!😂😂 I acquired this old girl 5 years ago, after being on chassis stands for that time, it's finally rolling again! So, the aim for this old girl, recycle and reuse the various shit loads of parts I have in my possession, and keep the build cost to an absolute minimum! This isn't going to be any show winning car, just a tidy driver! Story so far, All freshly painted underneath, engine bay! All new suspension bushes, shocks, springs, wheel bearings, running a 4.3 Borg Warner diff up back! That's it for no…

Hey, Mark here from NZ. I have a new project which i thought would interest some rolla people. A bit of back story... So i've had a ke70 1.3 SR coupe (jdm fastback 4k auto, 6" diff) since 2001 which was a daily + drift hack for many years running a 3tgte, w57 and kaaz 7.5" 2way in it's final guise (2013). Probably have seen that on the interwebs via club-k or garage3tc/3tcgarage and other forums or my website toycrazy.net and youtube user toycrazynz. It has succumbed to cancer finally because it wasn't always garaged (my bad). rust in the seams, sills, not alot holding the rear 1/4's and tail gate on. So I'm re shelling it. The last few years i've been busy wi…

Hi everyone, I'm knew to this site and thought I should introduce my self. I just bought a 1976 Corolla TE31. I'm really looking to lowering this beauty. Can some one point me to the right direction on where or how to lower her. What do I need or whatever. Thank you so much. Her is a few pics of her. She came from a one family owner from Puerto Rico 3 years ago to Kissimmee Florida. I named her Cecilia.

Hey guys bought this Corolla for cheap due to it having a blown head gasket so this is the journey so far, cleaning it up and replacing everything on the motor. When I first got it. As you can see she was pretty rough. The plan is to do a budget street cred build. But I want it to be mechanically A1 first. Painted it in primer for the time being. This model came stock with 2 small speakers under the dash and thats it. So I thought about it and decided to run all new wires to the doors so I could run 6.5s all round. Alot of work as you can see seeing as there were no holes in the doors or body so I had to do it all my self. Ran all the wiring th…

Hey all, this is my 1978 TE51 Corolla SR5. I Bought her from a college student in 2012 as a running project. I drove her for a few years and then I parked her about 2 years ago to begin restoring her. She’s was in fair shape, the kid had used her as a shop class project and threw a hilarious paint job on it. Dark blue metallic with baby blue metallic flames from the front to mid Hood and a set of racing stripes on the roof and hatch. She was an ugly old pig and my dad made the joke “that cars so ugly it can’t be a girl” so I called my old Corolla, “Gary” Once I began tearing to down for rebuild I decided she could once again be referred to as a girl again since the sweet …

With the need of something more practical (carting the kid's bikes around mainly) I decided to get myself a new daily. Always wanted one of these since I saw them in NZ about 12 years ago. Been keeping an eye out on Gumtree etc and one popped up recently close to me. 1998 ST215. Manual.... Yes it's actually a manual!! About 200k km but still in really good condition. Couple of mods - HKS exhaust, HKS turbo timer (pre import mods), auto metre boost guage, Turbosmart BOV (which sounds a bit loose and fluffy for my liking) and genuine TRD front bumper. Which to be honest I don't really like that much. There's one little part of it that makes me think it looks like the …

Hi everyone. New here. My name's Steve and this is my first corolla. I've heard a few times over the years that these cars are special. Now I own one I see why. This one cost me $750 and had no rear muffler and a smashed windscreen, which is getting fixed Thursday, but even the few drives I've had in it have me smiling and wanting to get it back to its best. The body is rough with a few dents and scrapes etc but there is no rust to speak of and it's mechanically great at this point. Please I'd love to hear advice, tips, knowledge etc that anyone can share with me as this car is going to be around a while and I want it to be great. (My 2yr old daughter has alrea…

For the passed 5 years I have dailyd my 36 wags. Was long overdue for some love but between living out of home and working full time it never quite got the love it deserved. Thanks to COVID I didn’t have to worry about either of those things. So, here’s a pretty comprehensive list of all the work I’ve done over the passed couple of months. Only a couple things left to do to the rear springs then I’m sorted. Note I’m not a mechanic at all, just a hobby. Had to pop her in for a rust quote the other day. Hopefully it doesn’t stop my heart. Thanks! 08/04/2020 - new leads - new spark plugs - new spark plug seals - new rotor - new coil …

Hi guys and girls, thought I would post up my new project that I have been planning for quite a while. Have had the 4AGE donor car for over a year now but have been searching for the perfect car to chuck all the good bits into! So here is the one I found. I am the 3rd owner, 157,xxxkms on the clock. Paint is near perfect apart from fade on the roof which will be being resprayed factory colour. Jacked it up to have a look underneath and found NO RUST! So before I pulled the 4AGE out I decided to comp test it, in which, no joke it lost compression on cylinders 1-3 while I was testing it.... All had 30psi except cyl 4 which had 140psi. So plan is to rebuild it, I pulled the …

G'day everyone, New to the forum and thought id share my KE70 that I inherited from my Wifes late Aunty. She purchased it brand new from the local Toyota dealer and daily drove it during the 80's and 90's. Towards the end of her driving career she had a few accidents in it and gave up her license 10yrs ago. It sat in her garage up until I was lucky enough to be given it. I've owned it for 3yrs and daily drove it for 12months before parking it up and forgetting about it. After a couple years of not using it, it got a little neglected and the usual rust etc has got worse and its time to give it some TLC. I'll keep this thread updated when I do more work to it …

So I went and did a thing the other day. Barring a KE10, we have now completed ownership of every single odd-numbered Corolla generation (3, 5, 7, 11 and now finally 9), and in some ways the fact that my pending existence caused my mother to have to sell her KE10 is kinda poetic (and ironic). So, meet Marvin - both after Marvin the Paranoid Android from HHGTTG (the movie remake unfortunately, since the BBC miniseries version was silver rather than white), and Lee Marvin from the classic Western musical Paint Your Wagon (I was just stretching for any name connected to the word "wagon" really). Pertinent details …
