A while back I proposed posting up a file of gaskets people could copy onto gasket paper or cork as applicable. Nothing seems to have happened with it, so I will put these up here. If applicable, mods may wish to relocate. I will add to it as I can. For example, I have an earlier T50 set somewhere too. Presumably since they are attached as pdf files, they should print out as actual size. Please feel free to add stuff you may have, but probably best not to clutter the thread with chat. Hi, I was at the libary today going through the car manuals to find some corolla info. And I see the ?K-B series motor put out more power than the ?K-C series motor. So I was woundering what is different about these two motors and which would be the best one to do up the ?K-B or the ?K-C motor? Thanks Cameron

ok, the '81-'82 starlet transmissions i've been using have been stamped "k51" or "K52" the genuine efi 4ke '83 trans is stamped "k61" the rpm drop between each gear on the k61 is identical in each gear incl. 5th; does this make it a trd trans? the rpm drop was the same in 1st and 2nd in the others, but 3rd-4th was WIDE and 5th was almost non-existant (300rpm?) all this was while running 4.10 rear gears and 195/70/13 tIres. so what do you think?

Hey guys, I need your expertise! The KE20 is at the mechanic's getting roadworthy (or trying too) and it's not passing because of a front brake issue. The previous owner did a KE30 brake upgrade to the front, to change the stud pattern I guess. Also had adjustable coils put into the front. Issue now is that the steering arm is pressing up against the back for the disc brakes, not allowing enough movement in the brakes to get them to compress firmly - I.E. BRAKES ARE SHIT, and always was a concern for me since buying and getting ready for roadworthy. Mechanics suggested solution is to replace the complete strut back to original KE20 OR find smaller brakes. I don't …

Hi guys, not sure if you know me of not because I am quite new to the forums, and haven't posted for a couple of months. I have a ke70 corolla that i bought as my first car a few months ago and I'm keeping it standard. I'm also only just learning about cars, so forgive me for not speaking in car terms and jargon (also forgive me for asking seemingly easy questions). I have a can of $4 spray on fish oil, and although I generally know what to do with it, I want to make sure I am using it correctly and understand it fully. My car has recently developed a little bit of rust, one bit which is not just surface rust :) . The things that I wanted to know about the fish oil w…

okay guys, me and a few mates have a little competition going. we have set ourselves a budget of $500 to spend on getting a car and modifying it. then we are taking these cars to an undisclosed location, and having a series of little comps. well, ive pretty much purchased a ke70 corolla which is going to leave me with $300. now. i was thinking of removing all interior and any hanging panels. is their anything in the engine bay i could remove to gain some weight back? also, i have a air filter laying around form a 4wd race car, would this be two big for the little 1.3? also is their any cheap mods i can do to get this thing moving along?

I'm gonna go mad tomorrow I think I'm going for 100% locked diff because I can't afford a ae86 rear axle with lsd for my ke70 right now It's snow on the roads here in norway so its not a problem with understeering i think test drove a ke70 with 100% locked diff yesterday and it was just so much better than without but I'm wondering how good it will be at summer time.. you guys don't have snow in australia do you? How is it do drive with in high speed? 100-160km/h I just tryed it at a snowy parking place, drifting around.. so don't know how it is at higher speeds?

hey everybody. i would like more power in my KE70 and i would wish to make about 100kw. i don't plan to swap the engine to 4age or anything if it costs too much but i would be happy even if i get round the 80-90 kw mark also. what i need to know is, what are some easy, farly cheap modificatins that can be done, such as reground cam, porting or anything like that, to achieve my goal, or get me closer to it. any suggestions would be great! also what is an ideal exhaust system? atm I'm running a mild steel press bent (prob less than 2 inch) exhaust and it has a hotdog (performance cat) about half way, and then the normal muffler on the end. now i wouldnt mind having a cann…

Hi kids, I've got a 5K in my KE26 with a Tighe 104 (from memory) cam, headers, a fresh bottom end and a redline manifold with twin side draft Dellorto's on it... It's just done a head gasket and while it's apart i'm wanting to match port the head to the inlet manifold, install an electronic dissy, and up the compression to 11.1, i've read stuff on the net about the 5K having dished pistons and not much head height or something, is it possible to deck the head enough to achieve this much compression? or will i crash things? Ideally i'd like someone to say, take XXX thou from your head and you'll have 11.1 compression, but i'm sure it's not that easy? Also, can i use…

Hey guys, Was hoping you could help me out with tyre choice. I am still a little unsure what I should be getting as I haven't had much experince, if any, with 13" tyres. Rim for tyres is a 13" x 6.5", and the vechile looks to be a Daihatsu Mira. Options: 1) Khumo 155/65 at $100 2) Hanhook 155/65 at $130 2) Yokohama from England (road grip kind of tyre) 175/50 at $150ish 3) Yokohama A008 semi slicks at just a little over $200 in 175/50 I have looked into 155/60 from Japan and it is just going to be a very expensive excersise from what I have been told. I have also been told that a 175/50 will give me roughly the same rolling diameter i…
