Its probably not the done thing any more, but I still like to keep a build thread on my rides so I remember what I did to them along the journey! So introducing my latest acquistion, a very clean 1978 MX32 Cressida. I wanted to get something I could put the kids in the back of, that had power steering and aircon, and was generally going to be a comfortable family cruiser. We’re finally beginning to get back into doing some work on the cars. First priority is getting my ke30 club car going. Today Rob and I managed to tidy up some wiring in the engine bay and remove the majority of some very hard cracked paint and rust from the bootlid. Obviously there’s still a lot more work to be done, including some more much dreaded sanding tomorrow, but we’re making progress. forgot to take a pic of the bootlid before I started, but this pic is after hours of scraping and sanding :/ it looked like dry cracked mud prior!

Hello! A roaring sound comes when i accelerate my 4k Engine 1290cc and disappeared when acceleration is goes to constant. it is louder when distributor advanced and lower when distributor is retired. can any one tell me why this is happening?

Got this nice little 1 owner a few weeks ago with full log books, receipts and even a Polaroid of it when it was new, its my first Corolla and so far I love it Main reason I liked it so much was that it was kept stock its whole life so there isn't many parts I need to find and I thought it was quite rare to find one in this condition. Hi all, I have this nice beauty of a car, good old ke55 4 door sedan. Nice Toyota yellow with a mint condition interior. 4k-c engine with k40 gearbox. Been doing my own bits and pieces here and they're. Plus some added mods to give me classic extra grunt that is so much needed. So far I have - converted the the front grille from square to round plus added in some 7" Halo's wired up to my parkers. I'd bought the grille 2nd hand and gave it a good clean and paint. Plus remove/ fix dents and polish the chrome. - Added a set of 15" pos 8+ rims for style and over killed the tyres by getting bridgestones re003. Oh well. - next went with 4-1 e…

Well, as some of you may know i have a bit of a ke1x addiction... I still currently have my ke17 sprinter and a ke16 wagon but i've chasing this car for 5+ years and finally managed to buy it. Ke1x wagon is pretty much my dream car, and was a bit saddened when my current one (build thread on here) is too rusty to do much with... Now this one is not perfect, But it's pretty bloody good. Hi guys first of all thanks for the warm welcomed fronm the family of Rollaclub, I glad to be part of this group. I want to share se pics of my new addition, is my 1969 Corolla sprinter that I picked up few months ago definitely feeling very bless. I've own lots of old school corolla's but not a first gen because they hard to find up here in the States. This is a work in progress that may take me few years to finish but I'm glad that I get to save this car.

For the passed 5 years I have dailyd my 36 wags. Was long overdue for some love but between living out of home and working full time it never quite got the love it deserved. Thanks to COVID I didn’t have to worry about either of those things. So, here’s a pretty comprehensive list of all the work I’ve done over the passed couple of months. Well. for those of you that wanted to know what happened to the ae71 that 1984 cs-x rolla was selling due to being written off. well the engine and gearbox and all the other lil bits are sitting in my engine bay now YAY.. I'm surpirsed. after breaking my roof at home, drilling my firewall cutting myself many times, and having little mechanical experience..... IT ALL WORKED... anyways jsut thought i would let you guys no in case you were wondering pics will come soon when i get camera.

Hey guys, I think I posted on this site before, but for some reason I can't seem to dig the old post up to put some more recent photos, nothing much has changed. Anyways here are some recent pictures. Some things I would like to do: The bump strip needs some attention, I either want to take it off all together or move it down along the door line. Because at the moment it is looking really tacky. The motor needs new valve stem seals I think, blows some blue smoke on startup and around town sometimes. The front metal bumper bar has a little dint if a keen eye can spot it out. Apart from that I'm keeping it original. Hope you like the pics. …

Please can anyone tell me how to remove the roof lining from my KE35 Coupe? I have removed all the side covers, visors, light and seat belts.........but I think there may be clips and I cannot locate them.

Everybody has their own method to the madness when it comes to having fun. Some people like to spend time with friends, while others enjoy hanging out at the beach. Then, of course, there are the couch potatoes that like to sit in front of the tube. My idea of fun involves anything to do with cars. A perfect weekend would be doing up my drift car with available resources I can get or what I can think of. A friend of mine just sold his hot little KE25 to someone in Tassie. It went on the boat last Saturday. Its an immaculate little car running a hot 4K with twin webbers, 5 speed box and 15" Superlite Alloys. Those in Tassie won't miss it!

Its nothing real special atm, all stock except for a 5speed that i took out of a KE70. the Colour i painted it is 'Mercury Silver' (BA falcon) has lots of matalic in it, looks real nice in full sun :)

Hey guys i own a auto ke70 and was thinking is it worth it to change to a manual or just sell it and buy a manual ke-70? Its got some rust e.g behind the fuel cap, in the boot seal area.. Do you reckon i should pursue in fixing this up or look for a cleaner ke70. Any help would be good and some pointers on what i should pay attention on the car first would be appreciated because i'm kinda new to all of this.I'll post pics soon

Well after months of searching for my first car, i have found it!!! It's a very rusty Corolla Liftback, but I love it with the rust included!!!. It's a great car even if the rust covers all the back part of the car :2thumbs:. Well its almost finished, my ke20 project. I used to own this car years ago, I sanded it back to factory undercoat and sold it to a panelbeater. Then I sold him a ZE. Now I have it back. Fully seam welded, *special* 4agze with $3000 race ported head and custom 283 degree USA billet cams, adjustable wheels, SC14 charger, very strong presure plate and organic clutch, the perfect T50, custom tail shaft, vl pump, racing recliners, new carpet, new dash, new roof lining, AE86 struts with RA60 calipers and vented rotors, borg warner panelvan diff. 2pak metallic blue with purple pearls. So named because he's just an organ donor... Bought for $300usd with a new clutch and a rebuilt transmission both will be going in Daisy. I plan to remove the struts and bend them to correct Daisy's horrible positive camber. I haven't decided whether I'm going to put all my worn out parts on it and sell it as a whole car, or strip it and store the spares and sell the shell on ebay for a rotary swap (BIG over here) or REALLY strip it and scrap the body. Originally the plan was simple 4age, stick 2 1g turbos on it and have some fun till i blew stuff up then start again. Hey everyone this my ae112r 2000 conquest, pretty much my daily driver, well will be once i get a motor back into, currently driving aroudn my ae82 Ive tryed to not over do it in the terms on visual modifying, not body kits etc Tell me what you guys think. Engine 7afe, has a 2.25inch lukey stainless mandrel bent exhaust, CAI with K&N pod, made around 76kws atw's and ran a 16.3, aint nething special just a cruiser. the motor is 60000ks old since rebuild it has a ported head reground cam jetted carby and aftermarket coil king springs and gt gas shocks... i am fairly happy with it all ive done since i bought it 2 weeks ago is rims and the rear muffler... not that is muffles much as this thing is damn loud and i like it :) overall its a clean ae71 except for a little rust but hey its 24 years old... let me no what you think!!!

1980 KE55S XX Corolla Coupe 4K-C (1300cc) 4 Speed manual Stock except for the 14x7.5, 0 offset rims and now with fender mirrors, black crystal headlights and front lip... it is going in next week to get the corona front strut conversion modified as coilovers and reset and an extra leaf in the rear and sway bars all round which should tighten it up and bring it down to earth... at the moment the suspension is shagged, and the breakes aren't much better.... once that stuff is sorted it will be time to move onto the engine.... oh and some watanabes are currently in transit...
