  1. Hey guys, Just wanting to get some advice regarding using velocity stacks on a 4age, whether or not this is legal/engineerable? (just running the stacks, not inside plenum) on an 4age 20v blacktop going in a ke55. (located vic) Just trying to do all my research before buying parts and before talking to an engineer. i know you have to keep all emissions gear with the engine conversion and i know i read somewhere you can have pod filter or cai but not both. Just trying to figure out what area velocity stacks fall into? Cheers

I have just bought a ke30 and was looking for some help with upgrading suspension, I understand there is a lot of work which goes into building up a decent car thats this old but I'm up for it and would like it to perform reasonably well. I thought I'd start by asking where to get a good suspension set up for the intention of drifting it later on and if possible what brands etc.?

  3. I understand drum brake master cylinders have a "residual pressure valve" to keep say 10psi of pressure in the brake lines, as drum brakes require this to compensate for spring return tension. However, when you convert drums to discs, you need to remove this valve, or your new disc brakes stay on when you let go of the pedal. How does this work when you go the other way - putting a disc brake master cylinder on a drum brake car? I see Wilwood sell aftermarket residual pressure valves, is this the only way, or can you install a valve in the new master cylinder? JB1762 (15/16") bolts to KE30 booster. Help needed please. I recently purchased my mates 77 ke30 as I seen it as a bargain, however now the problems have begun. So at the moment the car has a 7k 1.8ltr motor out of a Toyota townace, so I have been told. It has a 5speed in it not sure at this point what 5 speed though, possibly the one out of the townace itself? Brakes are original. Motor has had abit of work done to it, twin webber carbs, I'm thinking possible head work, extractors and which looks like 2inch or 2.25inch exhaust system. So basically my problem is my mate bought it with rego and has since let It run out of rego and it now needs a blueslip, problem is I'm unsure if it needs an engineers ce…

Hi guys. Ive got a a St141 Corona with a 3 speed auto. Auto seems to be having trouble selecting reverse or park. Its like theres something stopping it from engaging anything above neutral. Ive disconnected the selector rod and its definitely something internal in the box.. Looking for any advice on what the problem might be. I'm thinkinh it mite be easier to just put a 4-5 speed manual in it but I'm not sure what boxs will fit straight in.. Any ideas or advice is greatly appreciated guys. Cheers

Hy guys never thought I'd be one of those people that ask questions on a forum but I'm seriously out of ideas. car - ae92 engine - jdm smallport 4age problem- wont rev ok so it just seems to not run right, it'll idle just fine but as soon as you blip the throttle it does and starts to stall like its sucking in too much air and not supplying the fuel for it. If you hold the throttle open the minimalist amount you can allow it to slowly pick up to 1500rpm but the moment you go any further throttle it just goes back down So far I've changed fuel pumps and upgraded the fuel lines to 8mm different injectors Fuel regulator about 5 map sensors Igni…

Hi there, I'm new to this page and I'm really needing help! so I have a ke30 with 4k in it. From memory the engine just stopped going a few years back. Iv locked it away and now Iv decided that I wana make it run. Iv charge the battery fully and Iv tried turning it over but all it does is make a click sound. I googled around and figured it might be the starter. Got a new one tested it and still the same. I unbolted the starter and pulled it out so I could see the gears. Left the power and ignition cable connected then I use my jumper cables to earth the starter. Turn my key and the start pops out and spins overrated. When …

Lately my car has been having a few heat issues when driving, normally it used to sit just above the 1/3 way mark, lately its been hitting half way and jumping to the last mark on the guage before the overheating mark. Replaced the thermostat today and it still did the same thing going up the highway, the guage is all over the place, anyone had temperature troubles with a 4K-C before? any suggestions as to what it might be? had the engine apart 6 months ago and the head gasket was changed then, only other thing I can think of is to try torque the head down a bit more... Right, as some of you know, I'm changing my diff. I was a bit slack today, the moment I got home I just crashed, was SO DARN TIRED, had to just about live on Red Bull for the drive home.... Diff is almost out, all I have to do is unbolt the rear shackles and it should just fall out. Anyway - question. The T-series diff has a larger diameter housing, 65mm in fact. The U-series diff has a smaller housing, 57mm. Obviously this is a …

I have got some parts here now.. I have ae86 front suspension/steering components, crossmember, brakes, etc, everything except the sway-bar. I want better brakes, and the ae86 ones are vented discs.. it's also alot easyer for me to get new springs and shocks for ae86 than ke70, so I want to use the suspension also.. and I've heard ae86 has quicker ratio on the steering wheel than ke70, so I want to change to the ae86 rack'n pinion.. I am wondering if anyone has done something like this before, and if it's worth the job? is this really just a bolt on conversation?

Configure the injectors (on a 4/7ke setup) to fit into the spark plug holes, and machine holes for new position for spark plugs. Ill let you guys do the whys, pro's and con's lol. Also, what would the effects be if i was to completly remove the middle wall between 1 and 2 inlet, 3 and 4 inlet - make it all smooth offcourse, and a manifold to match... =) -> increase exhaust ports as well. ;)

Grim has told me that it will fit with the help of an AE71 or AE86 cross member and engine mounts. As to the gearbox, will I be able to use a 5spd manuel? And what would be recommended. Regarding this driveshaft. What exactly is a driveshaft? I'll search into what it is but just a generalisation of what it is will help. And why would it have to be custom? Thanks in advance.

I'm trying to work out my speedo calibration at the moment, and I'm not sure if I'm missing something, or if I haven't been to school for too long, or maybe I'm right and my original speedo is very off. Basically, I'm assuming my speedo is calibrated for a 4.11 diff. I'm now running a 4.77. I have a terratrip, so have speed readings from that, and basically I know that in comparison to my current speedo, it reads a bit like: real speed - speedo 60 - 80 70 - 90 85 - 110 100 - 130 110 - 140 Or something like that anyway.
