hey guys, this is my project 83 ae71.. i had a thread a while ago but decided to have it deleted and start again fresh... i bought the car on the 21 june 2015 and it didnt really do much for a few months, until i found some motivation to make it cool.. This is what it looked like the day i bought it .. white, slant front, unhealthy smallport 4age with downdraft weber (weird but cool), some steelies and mostly standard suspension, interior wasnt great and either was the exterior..

  2. Recently inherited this from my Auntie who purchased it new from the local Toyota dealer WESTLAND TOYOTA Werribee. It had been garaged since new and was driven up until 2 years ago when my Auntie gave up driving after a few bingles. Inside it is very clean and there are some really great parts along with some damaged parts. I plan to get her running as my daily and slowly clean her up. Photos below I have not washed it yet. Took some pics to show starting point. Showing her worst side. Panel damage from 2 years ago from Auntie.

just bought a ke70 5sp for a bargain $200, he says it needs a new carby and booster, the breaks still work just very bad, (have to push all the way in with alot of pressure to work at all), would it be the booster or something else? also would a boss kit for an ae86 fit? and would the strut bars from ae86 bolt straight in?

Recently i have bought a 1984 cs ke70, i bought it off a nice 94 year lady :) so she had not been much of a daily driver, the car only had 45,500 km's when i bought it. garaged its whole life so the cars paint, interior, roof lining, chrome and anything you can think off was all in overrated condition. And i have a lot of plans for it :) let me know what you think :)

  7. Hello rolla fans, my name is Nick, i'm 30 years old and i'm from Greece. For few weeks now I'm proud owner of a Corolla KE70. Because i'm working full season I brought the car but I haven't see it or touch it yet (because i'm working in a island) so my best friend did all the papers etc and have it on his garage. The plan on this beauty going for Drift Project but for now i'm trying to fix it. Off topic : Because the rear wheels has more offset than the front I heard that you can add fenders from Golf MK1 is that true and if yes from the front or from the rear? Thanks Nick.

Hi. This is my 1982 Toyota Corolla ke70. I have had it for almost one year or so now, and i'm thinking about getting some more power out of it. I have not made some super plans for it quite yet, but hopefully I it is ready for "Gatebil Våler" 2015. "Gatebil" is a trackday/track event in Norway (where I come from) Here is a pic of how the car looks like today, it is preshly painted in it's orginal colour. It also have some lowering springs. So this weekend I started with the raer axle. I got a Volvo 240 axle for free from a buddy of mine, and it fits quite perfect. It is alot of work, but i think it is worth it, because i'm planning t…

Hey guys :) So I'm here to post about my new ke70 corolla! I'll attach photos of my progress, so far only had her for about 2 months, in-love already!! She's got 220 000ks not bad for her age ('83). Had a few carby problems with dirt stuck in the carby. Recently had the exhaust fixed due to two leaks and a new fuel pump installed. It's a slow progress which I'm looking forward to the end result :) Any tips or help is muchly welcomed as I'm new to this type of car.

Hi guys! Picked this little beauty up tuesday night. It's a standard 1981 KE70 panel van called Henry  I am the second owner! It has 250k on the clock but engine and gearbox were rebuilt about 80k ago. Drives well. It has a straight body but has a little rust in some areas. Interior needs a bit of work. I used to see this around my house a lot and one day, a few years ago, I pulled up next to it at the servo so I asked the bloke if he would sell, he said he wasn't selling yet but took my number anyway. Then recently, he and his wife contacted me saying they were looking to sell, so I went and had a look. So glad I did! Really nice people and was pleased with…

  15. Back in December 2014 I bought and learn't to drive in my first car, a 1984 Toyota Corolla KE70 running project. At the time I bought it previous owners had done a few things to it, stuff that I know of were Car was just in Primer, Weber Carby, King Springs, Striped alot of the interior out and what was left in was sprayed black, Head unit with no speakers, Window tint and probably a few more things. I have alot of plans for this car but for now it is my daily until I can get some money. As a 17 year old teenager I don't earn alot of money for mods... The money that I do earn is enough to keep the car filled up with petrol each week. But I would like to have it runni…

Hi all, This is my first post and I'm kinda new around here but I thought I'd start documenting my 1981 Toyota Corolla Ke70 build and everything else that comes along with it :wasted: So i bought my little poo brown corolla about a month or two down in Gosford (I live in Sydney) with around 69XXX genuine kms on it off some dude looking like dis, high in the air, but on stock steelies: It was in pretty good condition bar a few dings, had close to no rust, deep dish steering wheel, new alloy radiator and started and ran! Hey everyone, I've been lurking for sometime and finally decided to make an account now that I actually own a KE70. I bought this wonderful poo brown slant front off a friend for $500. It's not pretty, nor does it have an engine or much else going for it but I'm going to get it running and then daily drive it. Plans are to build it into a decent little 4K for now. Originally I had planned for a 7K but at the moment I'm going to modify the 4K. This is the journey so far; Got it, got a set of wheels for it, pulled some engines apart and decided to replace whatever I think I should to make one decent runner out of a few, new clutch and new head. I'll update the thread wh…

Hey peeps! Always loved the ke70 and finally picked one up. Sure not the best condition but I couldn't refuse the $150 price tag and PANEL VAN! Motor is seized aswell as brakes. Manual box feels good. Nearly no rust except a few pin holes in not important places. Interior doesn't exist. Not much planned for it. Replace motor and put a auto behind it. Low and on a nice set of rims. Interior, just bring it back to standard. Nothing flash just after a nice cruiser. Wishfull thinking: 7k motor. Commodore/magna front brake. Lsd disc brake diff from a corona. It will be a slow build as I'm currently finishing my Datsun 521.

Hey guys I’m Finally starting on my project, I’ve had this Rolla for about 4 years, I drove it for about 2 years it started to show signs of rust, I was about to start cutting the rust out but had to move house and parked it at my parents place and bought a motorbike. So it sat there for 2 years and now I have a place with a small shed so I have brought it home to start fixing her.

Gday all. First time starting a topic and only due to being in a tight situation... Purchased the vehicle as is, unregistered. Running a 1G-GZE. Highly modified all round, diff, brakes, seating, gearbox, supercharger, intercooler etc. Checked the mod plate when getting it roadworthied and noticed no mod code for engine change... Bugger. Got codes for all above mentioned mods. Does anyone know if this engine can legally be shoehorned into this vehicle? I will try to get some pics loaded up, but really just want to know if I will be able to register it as a daily driver? I'm in QLD. Thanks!
