I've upgraded from my AE82 4AC CS sedan P.O.S to this little beauty. Bought in Newcastle a few weeks ago, it was in the June floods. Didn't run and the problem was slightly unknown but came down to the alternator and/or starter motor. Alright guys so since gettin my rolla back after some inconsiderate people stole it and thrashed it i have been debating to keep it or not... it has a bit of damage and ill try and get some pics up a bit later on tonight. I'm guna need a new front bumper, possibly a new bonnet. there is also a hole in the guard behind the rear left wheel from when it blew. is it possible to replace the panel or will it require a fibreglass/cut & weld job?? any other ideas while I'm at it?? and it may take a while cos I'm a bit strapped for cash atm, hence y I'm contemplating sellin it. cheers guys

Hi guys, new to the forum although been browsing on here heaps as a guest. Mainly on here for technical stuff regarding the 4kc motor in the suzuki sierra I bought recently. Have owned many toyotas before 2 surfs, an ae82 rolla and a zze 122 rolla, current ly own the rolla engined zook and a 6 inch lifted jeep cherokee, but the sierra and 4kc are much more fun to drive and easier and cheaper to work on. Hey all i just bought my first rolla ever, my first 4AG ever and my first supercharged car ever and i gotta say i can't wipe the smile from my face right now. so heres the low down, its a AE92 NOVA, with a 4AGZE in it, cat back exhaust and thats bout it, pod filter also, it is completely legal and engineered here in SA....MEGA PLUS!!! atm the only thing which gives it away is the bonnet scoop . so yea, it comes with a bunch of spares which include a LSD gearbox (YAY!!!!!) I picked this up from shepparton victoria this morning after buying it off eBay for $610. It drove the 3.5 hours almost flawlessly. Lets see, It appears to have some type of king springs in the front they are yellow and new, new shocks. a 2" sports exhaust, it sounds really really good, except it drones a little at 95km/h. a 5k, unknown mods, goes like a shower of shit compared to any 4k I have ever driven, stock carby, ke70 radiator. Needs a new diff I think, something is grinding in the back end, it I think is a stuck brake shoe, or f*cked bearing, will see when that comes. 1st gear syncro is shot. will crunch if not put back into first very gently. …

well iam o here doing a ride thread on my VE valiant which back in 08 and was rego'd but due to many bills back then i could not afford to keep the it rego'd and so it came off the road only to fix her back up and get it to pass roady which it did about 2 months ago, But the paint was really faded and so it decided i was into the light blue with the white roof contrast, So i decided it was time to freshen up the paint i repainted the white roof and keep the two tone it had i just changed the blue colour to a darker blue OCEAN blue and looks awsome. Here is the car guilty of slowing the progress on my conversion to my KE55. But I must say it has been a well worthwhile experience. It is the first time I have ever done a job such as this. Plans include, flat front end, chrome bumpers, chrome trim tail lights, Datsun 280 side repeater indicators, redo interior in red, full respray in crisp white, and renovate my 4K to look shiny! hey all I first bought my ke55 off ebay, it had: -a new blood orange paint job -2" lowering blocks -no engine -no locks -no side windows -half a loom The plan was to have a nice ke55 daily driver that was nice to look at and reliable. I decided to keep the stock interior just tidy it up a little with reapolstering the seats in black, new black carpet, new black headliner. First rolla, 84 ke70 highroof wagon. picked it up for $500 when i was 15 on the side of the road 5 houses from mine. was stock as rock and in pretty poo condition, faded blue and patches of primer, but did have a webber carby. Plans were to make it a nice cruiser without spending too much dosh. since i have owned it i have taken off the rear bumper, got rid of rust and gave it a $100 paintjob, found some nice wheels CHEAP (wantanabes/superlites), front sway bar and 1.5' lowering blocks from pedders, cut commo springs on the front and thats it. cheap, reliable, pimp cruiser/daily. future plans are to get a 4age, 4k is just not doing it for me anymore... reset…

(daily is a ae93 hatch) I just picked up a Ke20 Today and rolled it onto the front lawn, Its been sitting for I think approximately 10 years, it has been started a few times in that time Specs: 1972 Ke20 2 door, Mustard Yellow 3k 2spd Auto Its complete minus a couple of bits of trim, all the doors, boot and seats etc have been stripped out, and put in boxes, a few holes of rust the worst of which are behind the wheel arch I have picked up a 4K-C from a ke70 and a 5 speed gearbox to match, I'm rebuilding that at the moment, It will have new brakes, disks up front, probably a ke3x/55 upgrade for now untill I get rego on it…

This was recently added to our backyard as a bit of a "team project" for a friend who has several Crowns. His wife would probably divorce him if he brought another one home, so my housemate and I have offered to store it here and help do the bodywork/paint until he can sell something and make some space.
