Well a wise man once said "I will never own another AE82 again" Yet here I am. Picked it up on Friday night. Pretty sweet deal I guess. It's a very original CSX with all the goodies. Has a very nice interior with the velour headlining, rear headrests, tacho dash and elongated console arrangement. Previous owner added a JVC MP3 headunit and Pioneer front speakers which is mega bonus. The car was originally optioned up with the aircon and power steering so it's an absolute pleasure to drive with the steering. Paintowrk is faded as so I'll need to give it a bit of a cut/polish/wax. Three out of four window regs are rooted so I'll be off to the wreckers in the morning…

Hi I'm new to this site so i thought i would put abit up about my 77 rolla wagon I'm currently doing. I've put a worked 253 holden v8 in with a shortened 336 commodore diff and commodore struts with kinga discs and running 18x8 custom wheels. So far it has been a pretty easy build I'm just at the stage of body work so it can get painted. The car is being sprayed the color the engine bay is.

Had this for 6-ish months. The wifes car. She inherited it from her Gran who has had it since new. Obviously being a Nanamobile its a 1.6 Auto! We've left fairly well alone as the car is very original. Garaged its whole life. I've had tints put in, fitted a 200w Sony head unit, scored the alloys from a fellow Rollaclubber in Brizzy (sorry -- forgot your name), Euro wipers, removed the Crime Scene Investigation decals and thats it. A thorough cut-n-polish, new oil and filter and you have an ultra reliable runabout that belies its age very well. Needs front struts 'cause they're shagged and the front nearside wheel bearing has suffered due to the old lady 'park by feel' te…

Thought I'd start a thread for the beast now that it is starting to gain momentum. Picked her up a few months back and have been fixing it ever since Hence the name moocher.... Cause she definately does not pay the bills.... When I initially got her she was running ok but started to wear out over time. Almost like it had a cosmetic makeover before I bought her Seems as though it has had a 3kbp head slaped on and very poorly bolted on manofolds that did not suit... I found out that the bolts that were used bottomed out before they even tensioned the manifold. So basically done so far is: Changed fluids Spark plugs Ignition leads Points Ro…

Ok, so the story began after I acquired another ke70 corolla after my first one was written off. This one is a late model ke70, so it has the slant front head lights, automatic, 1.3l 4k. The plan was to stick a 4age in it, coilovers, LSD, stripped interior, strut bracing and some ma61 rims. Only thing was, my mind wandered away from 4age’s, I wasn’t entirely interested in putting one in my car, I would have liked a bit more power. So after talking to a few people (little red spirit, 70xin, beerhead, samQ, hao), I decided to go down the route of a 7age, objective; mainly a sprints vehicle with hillclimb and the occasional drift. It has taken A LOT of research, lots of ques…

Hey everyone. Well was on eBay just yesterday on my lunch break at work seeing if there where any 5k's on there. And cam across my old ke36 from when I was in Canberra. As some may now this is also geoff's old wagon. I bought it off geoff. Then sold it back to geoff. This guy got it from geoff and is now selling it, so I'm buying it back lol. For those that don't know. This car is running a 5k with k40. Has had the rust cut out from the front guards. Standard manifold and exhaust back from there. Right on 95db :rolls: was slammed, with some 16's. Now standard height on s13 stockies. And comes with a set of corolla stockies. Paint on the roof is faded to the shit h…

Hey guys, I'll get this hit off. Recently I just discovered that my girlfriends father has a 1979 KE50 corolla sitting in his garage, he bought it brand new back in the day for $10k. He's quite attached to it and loves it to bits as it was his first car and he still has it to this day. The body is loaded with rust, the engine which I'm led to believe is a toyota 5K engine has roughly 350,000km on it, it's had a rebuild and is probably due for another one quite soon as it has just been sitting there for the last couple years and only got driven a tiny distance every few months. The interior is still original but very beaten up and weathered, we were trying to get hi…

Hey guys and gurls. Have been on here for awhile posting here and there but never really uploded any infomation on what i have in my garage. Thought it was about time I should share. Let me know what you think. Its a 2 owner 1980 ke70 dx corolla Nz New and is factory twin headlight. It only has 135ks on the clock and the paint it mostly original. Has had all rust cut out and has a 4k which has had a fresh rebuild and twin carbs added. It actually goes suprisingly well for a 4k and 4speed. Its lowered 3 1/2 - 4 inchs and has 15inch celica/supra alloys on it. Standard interior except for a woodgrain steering wheel and center console. Nothing too extreme with massive offset …

Hey lads think its bout time i made one of these, this is my 1984 Ae71 CS 5 speed Manual Wagon. bought it bout 2 months ago of Big BBQ. i plan to just have it as a good daily, something that will turn some heads be comfortable to drive daily, have a decent working sound system, but also be a good little weekend hills warrior. So let the wagon work's begin. Hi guys i recently sold my Legnum VR4 twin turbo V6 wags blah blah blah. Got over it to be honest. I have been wanting a ke20 corolla for the most part of life :blinks: just never got around to it... Till the perfect one came up, its had all the major work done :blinks: there are still a few bits and pieces that need to be done, such as the roof lining, the guy i bought it off told me that all i need to do is take it to someone to have it done, but I'm insure if it needs an insert or not before putting the lining on :blinks: so if someone could please clarify this that would be great. It also needs to have the parcel shelf done and maybe another few bits and pieces. …

My new barn find, the humpback. My brother mentioned a while back he'd be interested in the 'rolla thing. He'd saved up some money, so I said I'd keep my eyes peeled. That's where the trouble began. I was surfing all the usual car sites and I found the fidy. It's a little tired, drives well two owner machine. It's had a g'box rebuild, callipers, starter and alternator done. My brother is now buying my '35 Plans are to employ some of uncle shadies patented crap remover, fix up the little bits of rust, cut and polish, regas the a/c, get it regoed and then start messing with it. I think , maybe lower with my wagon rims widened and whitewalls. I love UGLY!

Seeing as my KE10 Khanacross Special wasn't finished we decided to use the old AE 71 that had been hanging around for spares. After about 5 hours of stripping, cleaning, fitting the race seat, extinguisher, bonnet pins, alloys and rally tyres from my old KE 70 khanacross car and locking up the diff this 1600 3 speed auto was ready for its first event. The event was out at Riverside Oaks at Catai, 6 stages with 3 attempts at each. I double entered the car with a mate and apart from breaking a rear exhaust rubber the car went surprisingly well for a stocka !

Hi guys, thought id finally put up a thread on my twinky. When i bought her the amount of rust in it was unbelievable, and it was pretty beaten up and abused. It really should never have been on the road, but i managed to get a roady done from a mate. It was a daily for about 6 months, then the rear crank seal gave way. I'm close to getting the engine cleaned honed and re assembled, but its never going back on the road. Ive completely stripped the interior, cut the roof off etc, pictures will tell the story. It will live out its days as a go kart pretty much. Ive got about half the cage welded up, just need to get some bends done. Pics will be up soon.

Hi all, i'm new to the site and just wanted to share my new project. I recently bought a Ke26 wagon with a 5k 4 speed. I got it as a daily but seeing how small it is and how little it weighs, i'm thinking of a good motor for it for the quarter mile. I,ve got a Buick 3.8 5 speed, or a starfire 4, Aussie 4 speed . i can get either for nothing and would turbo the starfire if that was chosen. Just wondered what you guys reckon? Cheers :)

Ok, this isnt another 'I'm thinking of going down this path' thread.. Basicly, iv got a 84 rolla (I think its a KE71) and I plan to strip it to bits and track it. I'm going to strip pretty much everything, aside from the drive-train. I'm going to turbo-charge the stock motor and use that untill it dies. This isnt a daily drive, so it can sit around for as long as I need :) Just wanted a few pointers for the build in certain areas.. I will be running a blow through setup on the stock carby (if possible, may have to get one from a 2.5L+ motor), and will have to encase it to prevent fuel going out the bowl. The turbo Ill use is a CT9 from a starlet GT (1.3L turb…
