hey everyone, just wondering if anyone knows of anywhere that i can find ke70 bodykits? i saw a front bar on a ke70 a while ago, and i was wondering if it was one of a kind or what? and if there is'nt really a body kit for ke70's what could fit? and old bmw front bar maybe? I don't want anything outrageous just something quite subtle and easily fitted if possible? me and my sister's boyfriend tried on his s13 nismo sideskirts just as a joke to see how they would look,and they fitted perfectly, and suprisingly they looked very nice. :lolcry: just after front and rear bar if possible. any help would be appreciated.

hey guys i need some help i have some ssr reverse mesh 15x7 +26 what i need to know: are they a 2 or 3 piece wheel? can't find a clear answer. and also i need to increase the offset to something more negative, as they hit my struts (brought 8mm spacers and still no joy) is it safe fixing the inners like in this picture?

This morning I had one of the most exciting and fun experiences in my Corolla... THE funnest actually. I went to a skid pan in the Sutton Forest (outskirts of Queanbeyan - near Canberra), where we hired a track and a defensive/racing training driver for 4 and-a-half hours. We had 15 minute sessions with 2 cars in a group of 8 cars on the track for each session to practice our technique while having the instructor in the car if you choose to, who gives us advice on how to improve. Since playing with Datsun 1200's for the last 3 weeks I've noticed one thing.... They have the same diff as a KE10. I blew my Datsun diff, and i looked the KE10 diff's i had lying around and they were exactly the same.. Different stud pattern and tailshaft flange. Quoted from the Datsun Tech wiki " Apparently this is the same diff that was in AMI-built Corolla KE10, but those have a 4 x 110 wheel bolt pattern. " The Borgwarner Model 60 rear diff... So i'm thinking the people with Borg Warner diffs in their KE10's could potentially unbolt the axles out, and put Datsun 1200 Axles which are 4x114.3 and then put KE20 discs with 30 hubs and have a 4x114.3 conversion fo…

this is my mates ke55 (i think) rolla it was originally red as you can see, and he is painting it that ford blue off the xr6/8/6turbo original 4 k motor but will have a new engine conversion in the future(possably a 12a or a 4age/ze or a 3sge)

hey guys, i don't know whether I'm the only one or not, but has anyone else been given shit about owning a corolla? mainly the older models though, as i have found. people probably wonder why we don't just sell up and buy a newer car (or a commodore as some say). i own a 97 subaru impreza atm, and its a great car and all, but i appreciate the little things more now. i had forgotten how much fun these little cars are, and so much easier to maintain than modern cars. so i was just wondering if anyone else has or is in the same boat as i currently am? cheers brendan

Hi all, ive just picked up another ke35, after owning a few in the past, and wanna fix it up to a nice street machine to pass down to my son. I'm wanting to put IRS in the back of it, a friend of mine sujested an s14 rear subframe as he had seen one put in a ke70 before but had trouble with wheels. Has anyone attempted this before? Does anyone know of a sub frame around the same size if not slightly shorter than the factor ke diff, which is 1380mm long. Now please no "why are u doing that its a complete waste of time bla bla bla", this is what i want to do, i don't like going with the norm and doing things like everyone else. hello just wanted to know if my ke70 was worth anything, near showroom cond. sat in garage for most of its life , I'm the 2nd owner got it off my nan engine only has 25 000km on it, has all logbook and service history everything stock, no rust no damage if someone could help me thanks will put pic up if anyone is interested

This might seem like a stupid question but iv been looking at parts to buy for my Ke70 wagon and majority of the parts i want come up as (panel van only)... Will parts from the Panel van fit my car? such as bonnet, guards, doors, ect ? cheers Troy

In my new job i get to drive new Toyota's, And i got to drive the new 2007 Corolla, Yaris, Camry and other makes like Hyundai Mitsubishi and maybe some fords soon. The 2007 Corolla sedan. Looks more like a camry to me and is a bit bigger. Dual VVT-i 1.8 Ours are auto's but I'm suprised how good a 4 cylinder auto can go. Picks up pretty dam well for an auto, I'd definatly buy one in a manual. The have a normal accelerator not like the yaris. Comment ?

My corolla is a primed shell at the moment which is the perfect time to mess around with the body. I'm wanting around about 300rwhp but a chassis stiff enough to support it so it wont twist or warp an launch! I have already started to seam weld and I'm going to make some strut tower braces and get sway bars! I think that it should be enough for what i want, and I'm trying to avoid using a roll cage because its overkill for my application and i want the car to be a cruiser not a drag car. Can i have some opinions about the seam welding, strut braces and sway bar, will they be enough do you think? or if there is any way of making the chassis stronger without a roll ca…

Hi all. I haven't heard of anyone doing this so I just went ahead and did it without thinking much. Tok me about 2 weeks to compleet without paint but a heap of sanding. Looks just like the real thing with all the bracing under the bonnet and steel plate inserts to bolt the bonnet to the hinges. NO MORE RUST.

I'm looking at buying a set of ratchet spanners and just wanted to see what people owned, liked, hated or whatever. I can't make up my mind if the 'lever reversible' or the 'flip over reversible' type is better. I'm looking at getting the Kincrome flex lock gear spanners. I imagine the flexible, lockable head would come in handy for some tight areas. If anyone has a set or any input feel free to post up...

hi evry1 i have installed a 4age 20v in my ke30 i have a ta22 diff which is yet to go in is this enough for an engineers?? also what can i do for front brake upgrade just looking for somethng not so complicated money is not too much of an issue, thanks! one more thing is the ta22 diff strong enough for the 20v silvertop?? ive read some threads on the issue but still not too sure any input would be much appreciated!!!

Hey lads has anyone had any bad experiences using otomoto coilover kits? I'm looking at using them to make a pair of coilovers for my falcon and I know afew guys on here run them and I havn't heard any bad stories about them, so I thought I would ask before jumping into the deep end

So here's the low down I bought a ke70 all was fine and dandy until a couple days after she overheated one day so I turned her off and popped the cap off (with plenty of rags under my hands) filled her back up made my way home checked the radiator and it seemed fine but then I thought !@#$ it i will just replace the head gasket as it wouldn't hurt and would fix my problem, as I was undoing the bolts I noticed one was snapped in the block! so my father proceeded to drill the snapped bolt out but made quite a mess ( he drilled too far and made the diameter bigger and more towards the piston) so i am just asking what am I to do? also will my head be warped? Hey guys, just got myself some chrome bumpers and i was wondering what the best/easyest way to mount them on a ke70 is!

as the title states ''whats a rusted 86 shell worth''? it has rusted (rear window) (front window) and the 3/4 windows in the back. the doors are also rusted (in the bottoms) it would all be repairable with a little know how. I don't want to scrap it, (we all know why) NOTE: its a bare shell +doors. NOT ROLLING

Hey poeple.. I'm just wanting to hear from KE25 folk that have TE27 flares on their um KE25.. I'd doubt there would be many.. I am running a T18 diff under the back end and the rims stick out the guards 60mm, 15x8-9 challengers, 195x50. Now I'm in two minds as the fit either TE27 flares or cut up some KE70 guards and weld 'em on.. so basicly what I'm asking is how big are TE27 flares and whats the general concensus of me fitting up ke70 flares?? The only reason I'm not using another diff and cutting it down is because i already have a 2way fitted to the T18 and no I'm not going to get thinner rims.. Cheers..Richie. just for a general idea..

Anyone with experience using acrylics, what's the good n bad brands. I've had a test panel sitting for close on a month in hi temp dry conditions, and it doesn't seem to be hardening right. now I know acrylics aren't as tough as 2pak but I don't expect to be able to leave a fingernail impression with a soft prod. The panel feels hard and running your hand over its def dry ok, just a bit soft. the brand is 3m premium acrylic laquer, and all prep was done correctly. I've seen a job done with septone acrylic, and it was much tougher. Can't see the point In spending weeks sanding straightening and filling and then laying a crap brand down. Any pointers/advice?
