Hi Members, I'm trying to get a hold of Mungi Mods. I don't know where he is or what he is doing at the moment. If anyone has seen him or has contact details please let me know. I have his engine crane and some nice tools of his and Id like to return them, as well as to catch up with someone who has done a great deal for Rollaclub members. :clover: Cheers, Matt

My front left hand shock is leaking grease on my 2005 Corolla and I am planning on fixing it myself (both front shocks). Unfortunately I won't be able to do so until I get back to my parents house (2.5hrs away) which I am doing this weekend. Before I can do that, however, I need to be able to drive to and from work this week and I was hoping to drive a couple of hours out of the way to go to an engagement party on Saturday (fix the car Sunday/Monday). Today my girlfriend drove a 5 hour round trip. At one point she hit a bump and felt the car go down but not come back up. She thought she had a flat tyre - but did not. She stopped, checked the car, found nothing and th…

I just received a coffee mug I bought on ebay. http://m.ebay.com/itm/TOYOTA-KE20-COROLLA-COUPE-QUALITY-11oz-MUG-/171465558099?nav=SEARCH To my utter amazement the image on the mugs resemble an image taken of my ke20 a few years back at All Jap Day. With obvious computer alterations, close inspection shows identical image angle, shape through the windows, alignment of the headlights, bumper and grill. I'm 100% certain this is an image of my car and I'm excited.

Hi Not sure if this should go here but anyway. Just lowered the rear of my ke55 and the tyres sit pretty close to the lip of the guard, they don't quite touch, but when driving with lateral movement of the diff and when the wheels suck up into the guard they would have scrubbed. So i rolled the lip of the guard up. The following is rough guide with some pics, Guard rolling/flaring tool. The machine can be hired, or maybe even buy one between a few mates, it should only cost you about $70 - $100 each between 3 or 4 mates. Considering the going rate is about $55 dollars per guard, if you do all 4 you're still up, plus you have the machine for future c…

Hey guys, New to the rolla life, recently picked up an 82' ae70, its lowered but the shocks arn't the best. I've heard about weld on coils and stuff but I'm really just looking for short stroke shocks and lowering springs. Just not really sure where to buy new parts and what parts can fit without any modifications. Do 86 shocks, struts, springs fit into this year? Any and all info is highly appreciated guys, thanks!

Hey guys, Would anyone know where to get a intercooler pipe on a Saturday? I'm after a 2" (51mm) 90 degree elbow bend with approx 200mm from bend to end on both sides. I would prefer mandral bend, stainless steal or aluminium. Cheers, Tom.

The latest Shannons club email has just come out with a really interesting article in Racing Garage on the Gemini domination of the 1979 Bathurst 1600cc class. There is also quite a bit said about the TE37 Levin that was entered. Worth a look.

Hey guys, I recently bought my KE11 and one of the things that I noticed when I first saw it was that the back of the boot lid had been painted black instead of the same color as the car...at first I just thought that this was the guy before me trying to put his mark on the car but after a while I saw a few more with the same...just wondering if anyone knows if there is any history to this? Thanks

Well stumbled upon this history with a lot to learn about Toyota and the guys behind the scene, covers all the models from birth to the latest corolla and is a great read for those that haven't seen it already so thought I'd post it up, learnt a few things myself! http://www.toyota-global.com/showroom/vehicle_heritage/corolla/collection/

So I was having issues getting around tight corners with my 2 way t series lsd, I added some camber and toe out to the front which helped quite a bit. Then I custom fitted a swaybar I had lying around to the rear axle. OMFG!! It is amazing! I can turn corners, I can drift, I can Scandinavian flick.... High speed corners with constant throttle with no understeer. With power on oversteer. I feel like I can actually drive this car now. I was starting to doubt my abilities, but after the new 170rwhp 4age went in, I have been having issues. I guess the chassis wasn't up to the grunt. Very very happy man right here! The combination of camber, toe out and rear bar.. Mwah ;) …

Conflicted about what fuel to use In the handbook for my ke30, toyota recommends 90 octance fuel. Everybody i've talked to says fuel qualities has changed since the 70's and todays 91 is bad for the old donk. So everbodies vouching for 98 and the timing is set for it. Call me insane but i think i got more km's from 91 fuel. What fuel do i use? What does everybody else do?

So my old man's on his 5th falcon, I'm no stranger to them. But I've been planning on buying a commUTEer for a while so I can give the ke16 some TLC. Originally a jap built diesel was the plan (Rodeo most likely) but the idea of a Falcon dedicated LPG ute came up. And the XR6 is a nice looking car at least, and should be cheap to run. But I swore I'd never own a Falcon. I hate them. so does anyone have some good objective feedback on BA Mark II falcons, particularly utes. Problems, issues, what to expect etc?? Worked on many, driven one into the ground, all that sort of stuff? I might hate them but not based on much fact. I just hate them. Let me know you…

Okay guys, so are we keen to go again. This time earlier and with luck the calendars would be in your hands by December. Now... what layout do we want?? I've thought of two options. 1. Jan - Darwin (all regional members meet for a photo shoot), Feb - Brisbane etc etc etc Or... 2. Jan - KE10/15/16 (Pick one of each, the best of each from members of the site), Feb - KE20/25/26, March - KE30/35/36/50 etc etc etc What do we think. If we think yes we will go ahead and this time I will need payment placed upon order. I will place a payment deadline as I was stuck with over 30 calendars from this year, this is all due to many people who just didn't produce…

I have replaced all of my rubbers and the dreaded vents were the last to get done, and so I have just installed a brand new drivers side smokers vent rubber using an early 80's toyota vent rubber - considering there isn't already a forum with images on the subject I thought Id start one. A WORD OF WARNING: For those of you thinking about replacing the rubbers in your ke10 my advice is make bluddy sure you need them replaced - the chrome strips around the front and back window are a nightmare that will bring even the toughest to tears replacing and trying to find a boot rubber that does the job is crazy. If you have decided to do it then good luck Anyhow; I …

Was going to look at some Wade cam profiles on their website but it appears they are closed down for good: http://www.wadecams.com/ It's a pity. They had some good profiles. I got a regrind for just $92 not long ago. Though looks like Clive Cams have acquired the Wade cams catalog: https://www.facebook...Cams?ref=stream

I can help with logistics here in the states, but overseas stuff is up to you He has all kinds of old stuff out there!!!

I am a fresh graduate and need a car. I don't want to repair cars always. so the reliability is my main concern. Looked for good price online(edmunds.com, autopriceshare.com, truecar.com...) for several weeks. Finally, I found some deals shared by others and autopriceshare dealers offer me the same price. Here are my two quotas: 1. 2015 civic LX Automatic Price 17714 (base model on more packages) 1. 2015 corolla LE Price 16579 (base model + one free oil change) Are these good deals? Which model is more reliable? I am not familiar with cars and any advices will be very helpful!

I'm in the process of deciding what car to get next. I currently have a 1983 Toyota Corolla (KE70) and it has served me very well. It's just come of age and I'm not longer going to spend any time on it. The things I liked about this car I'll list below, as these are the features I'm looking for in a car. Very simple.. No bells and whistles. (No electric windows or anything like that) Manual.. preferably 5 speed. Very reliable.. Engine which has a reputation for lasting forever. Something I can work on myself. Not so technically chipped up that I need NASA to fix it. A Timing Chain as opposed to a timing belt. Saves allot of work, especially if I'm working …

Basically just wondering if the o dish would be as strong as the d dish??? 5k block 4k head combo...

Not too sure if this is the right section to post this but here goes. Hi everyone, recently purchased a ke20 2 door coupe with qld mod plate done way back in the year 1995. Its got all the codes to legally cover the mods done to it. The car was previously fully regoed in qld before it was kept away in storage for years. My question is: it has LK1 code which is for the 2 seater conversion, fixed back bucket seats and 4 point racing harness. However, the seats are fiberglass and i can't find any sticker, label, stitching on the seat to say they are adr approved. The previous owner however verbally stated that they were the seats on it when it was mod plated in 1995.…

I was in sydney this week and thought i'd drop in at a place i love spending time at which i thought i'd share with you all. Catalina Park Raceway is a wicked little race track in Katoomba in the Blue Mountains. Its was used mainly in the 60's and 70's as a sporting car track and a rallycross track. I'll attach an article that will describe the track better than i ever could other than to say visit it. Its a nice little walk and an awesome little piece of aussie motorsports history, just head to katoomba and follow the signs to the aquatic center. On a side note, its in a horrible state and will only get worse due to it being deemed aboriginal land and never really l…

Trawling around on the interwebs, looking for something that Mrs Parrot can buy me for xmas (since she never got me anything for my birthday.....) I got thinking about ultrasonic cleaners. Numerous videos to watch on youtube, including lots of interesting efforts with people making homemade vibration jobbies attaching sanders to jars etc. Purpose built made in China ultrasonic cleaners are not too unreasonably priced, if you keep to a maximum of 6litre capacity. Anyone have any experience with these things? As an example, this 6 litre model is $186 but they have a make an offer option
