Hey guys I'm in the process of stripping my celica back to bare metal and was wondering if there was a product to remove that underbody tar/rubber thats found in inner arches and underneath, wire wheel just clogs up and linisher just melts the tar and screws the disk. any ideas? that can take the pain and time of it away.

OK, so say you want your project car to be bare metal on the roads. Now you strip back the paint only to find there are some hale size dents in the rear quarter pannel and chips on the gaurds...... 😞 How do you fill in the holes and make the metal it look original again? Cheers. ==O|-[_]*[_]-|O==

Where would I find them? Stupid enough question I know, but i've had a decent man's look and i've not turned up much success. I'm spraying my Rolla Gunmetal Grey and I want bolt ons for my rims to sit under (or should i say on? ;) ). What is the best way to go about this that people are aware of? I've seen some amazing examples, this one especially (see attachments) Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey guys I have bolt on guards or flairs as some people may call them, I'm just wandering if anyone had pictures from when they installed theirs as I want to do it right, but I've never met anyone with it done, or seen how anyone has done the job.. So I don't really know how to go about doing it, I've heard stories of some people cutting their old flair out completely, and others cutting it into strips! Please help! Any help, tips or pointers are greatly appreciated, cheers.

ive been doing some sideways dirt/gravel action this week and i'm sick of my bonnet popping open the first step, because one day it's going to open all the way i got myself some bonnet pins today, i'll probably copy nikki and install them in place of the existing rubber stops fook, what did you use for rubber stops on yours? it was a leaf eye bush chopped in half wasn't it? anybody else got some tips or handy ideas for installing them? i'm guessing measure lots of times and drill small pilot holes for everything first so i get my positioning right. any other help?

hey all joined long time bak wen i had a ke70 bunky, well it died and went on to have a 2.6 turbo transplant and now its time for another bunky, but this time i think i mite go abit mad and supercharge it, not really caring about strengthening the motor, i was wondering if anyone had a blue print for a bracket to hold a supercharger, and if so how they went with the supercharger on the 4k.. cheers

I am definately Australian, and have been in and around cars my whole life, and not once ever have I heard anyone use the term "bunky". Shitter, stocker, daily, work hack, run-a-bout, but never bunky...Dit it occur to you guys that maybe it's not an Aussie thing at all, more a West Aussie thing? I wouldn't bother with the SC12, if you are going to all the trouble of supercharging it, use an SC14. It's not overkill on a 4K, I have used one many times on many standard 4K's. They are not going to be considered fast, compared to a fast car, but they will go about twice as hard as the 4K did on it's own, and also be great for burnouts, and hills. I currently have mine on a…

Hey guys, i'm new to this, I got a boss kit off ebay from asia and i got a steering wheel to add some customness (i don't think thats a word) to my ke70 (1983 KE70 Corolla 1.3L). i've heard about people needing a certificate to make it legal, can anyone shed some light on this, i just forked out 40 bucks for a boss kit and 80 for a wheel and i don't wanna get defected for it. The wheel is 350mm, so its only like 20mm smaller than the original so i'm not too worried about that, its the boss kit i'm concerned about. I tried google and stuff, but all i find is people trying to sell boss kits. dammit :P cheers fellas Dregs

Hey guys, I just fitted a fixed back seat into my car and now I find the wheel is all up in my face, not just that but I can't reach the indicator stalk with a standard boss kit. Wondering if anyone knows where I can find the shortest possible boss kit to fit a ke70 or if anyone else has had this problem and how they dealt with it? I was thinking if I can't find one short enough, might just cut a section out of my current boss kit and weld it back together... anyone done this before?

Hey everyone, just a quick question i have a 74 KE20 which has had a disc brake conversion on the front KE30 i think, but it doesn't have a booster, and i am informed that to pass mod plate and RWC specs in QLD i need a booster for the disc brakes. Does anyone know if any later Boosters bolt up and work KE30, KE70 e.t.c and has anyone done it, is it easy e.t.c thanks guys any help would be appreciated.

Is there any difference between KE30 Brake Boosters to KE55 Brake boosters? Can the KE55 master cylinder go onto the KE30 brake booster? Would the KE30 brake booster even bolt onto my 1981 KE55 hardtop? Sorry about the nub question.

Hi! For 2 years ago I installed a ta62 brake booster and master cylinder into my ke35. Huge difference! Now I have also installed front calipers from the same ta62 into my ke35. Tried bleeding it about ten times but everytime I started the engine the pedal sank to the floor. I tried yesterday reinstall the old ke35 stock calipers and that made it a alot better! So what's wrong? Are the ta62's calipers harder to evacuate the air from or do they fail remaining pressure somehow?at least I can't see any leaks from them...

Hey All, Been going through the KE30 troubleshooting all the little problems, and the only thing left that doesn't work on the dash is the "Brake" warning light, that sits with the hand brake light. I'm assuming that its a low fluid level warning or similar, and also assuming that it connects to the sensor in the side of the distribution block thingo on the firewall. What i want to know is under what circumstances is this light meant to come on? There is currently no fluid whatsoever in the front brake circuit as i have changed to new front calipers that have yet to be bled, and the light still remains off with the ignition turned on. It's not a huge issue, but it…

Hey guys, I'm not gonna fark around with the car anymore and basically just trying to get it on the road working and running... so time has come to put some new brake pads in.... This is what I have been told to do: 1, take wheels off 2, take calipers off 3, Suspend calipers so they don't hang from brake lines 4, unclip clips and remove brake pad 5, use a clamp to put piston in 6, put new pads in 7, redo clips, bolt calipers back on and put wheel on... The end.... or is it? Anything I missed ? If anyone knows how to do it... please tell me.. or even give me a hand pretty please.

I thought it might be a good idea to get peoples opinions on the brake pads theyre using. Of course you alone can't try every brake pad on the market and find the best one so I thought it might be a good idea to gather some info on different types. Now naturally not everyones braking setup is the same so this will end up being a rough guide at best. Try to only comment on cars that youve tried more than one type of pad on. Start your review with a short summary, you can write more about them underneath if you so desire. I will try to keep a summary of good :P and bad :( reviews (and inbetween). Try to keep it performance oriented but you can of course make comments ab…

(Only does it under heavy braking) Ive checked the pads and they are all within .5mm in thickness. the discs are good. And had the brakes bled. Is this a pressure problem all maybe wheel alignment? I've found a rotor for an RX-7 4 piston brake upgrade that's an exact fit to an AE86 hub. The thing is, an AE86 has a 64mm ID hole with a 45 degree chamfer on the edge, the rotor in question has an 80mm ID hole and a chamfer too. I wonder if this is done on other cars? I wonder if this sort of thing increases the chance of failure...

G'day, I'm deciding on a brake upgrade for my new rolla, not bothered on the rears but for the front i want vented brakes. i have mx62 cressida front struts, unfortunately they have the wrong king pin angle, (axle is on a different angle) the same also goes for ra60 struts, but i have found a conversion that uses, mx62 callipers, ra60 rotors and hubs and xt130 struts seen bellow, This conversion uses a mixture of Toyota parts which are pretty easy to find at a wreckers. [edit] Parts required * XT130 strut legs (apparently RT132 work too) * RA60 hubs (though apparently again XT130 hubs work too) * RA60 disc * MX62 calip…
