Hi guys, My name is kevin and I'm from south Africa. bought a Toyota ke70 we called them here baby Cressida its a 1983 1.8gl 3t motor stock your advise ad guidance will b appreciated. my plans motor I was advise not to change as the standard 3 motor very strong. I have done viper branches you y call them extractors..gong to put a freeflow exhaust system not sue the setup of this as the sound looking for is more muscular v8 not sure if I can get this ? gong to put weber car no sure if I should get 38 40 45 or double carb ? going to gas flow head ported/ and 268 cam? 40 side drafts is delloroto a good brand ? will this give e decent power as its a every da…

Gday all. First time starting a topic and only due to being in a tight situation... Purchased the vehicle as is, unregistered. Running a 1G-GZE. Highly modified all round, diff, brakes, seating, gearbox, supercharger, intercooler etc. Checked the mod plate when getting it roadworthied and noticed no mod code for engine change... Bugger. Got codes for all above mentioned mods. Does anyone know if this engine can legally be shoehorned into this vehicle? I will try to get some pics loaded up, but really just want to know if I will be able to register it as a daily driver? I'm in QLD. Thanks!

hey guys, this is my project 83 ae71.. i had a thread a while ago but decided to have it deleted and start again fresh... i bought the car on the 21 june 2015 and it didnt really do much for a few months, until i found some motivation to make it cool.. This is what it looked like the day i bought it .. white, slant front, unhealthy smallport 4age with downdraft weber (weird but cool), some steelies and mostly standard suspension, interior wasnt great and either was the exterior..

Recently inherited this from my Auntie who purchased it new from the local Toyota dealer WESTLAND TOYOTA Werribee. It had been garaged since new and was driven up until 2 years ago when my Auntie gave up driving after a few bingles. Inside it is very clean and there are some really great parts along with some damaged parts. I plan to get her running as my daily and slowly clean her up. Photos below I have not washed it yet. Hey everyone, I've been lurking for sometime and finally decided to make an account now that I actually own a KE70. I bought this wonderful poo brown slant front off a friend for $500. It's not pretty, nor does it have an engine or much else going for it but I'm going to get it running and then daily drive it. Plans are to build it into a decent little 4K for now. It’s currently in pieces and has already had rust cut out and fixed up so the first thing that I plan to do to it, is strip it fully and begin paintworks. To start this off this is my first thread go easy on me haha. My names Jacob and I'm 18 This is My 1983 toyota corolla wagon which I brought for $1000 with rego. I got it a few weeks back and have loved every second of it. It was a 2 owner car both being elderly people. The first owner of the car looked after it very well. It has new parts throught it. The second owner who was best freinds with the original owner has had it for six years and continued to look after it. Wondering if anyone has made their own turbo kit for a 4k before and how difficult what you need and need to do? I was looking at my ke70 and thought hmm maybe I could put my turbo that is laying around in the girlfriends shed on it give it some boost life... Zutuu.

Hello rolla fans, my name is Nick, i'm 30 years old and i'm from Greece. For few weeks now I'm proud owner of a Corolla KE70. Because i'm working full season I brought the car but I haven't see it or touch it yet (because i'm working in a island) so my best friend did all the papers etc and have it on his garage. So October last year I decided to look for a RWD car to take on khanacross/rallysprint days. I have never raced a car offroad before, so I wanted something light and durable, and didn't care too much about the power. Came across a 83 KE70 that had been used in some motorkhanas, bit rough, but cheap like I wanted. Took it home and over the next month I cut out some rust and prepped and painted the car. Hey guys I’m Finally starting on my project, I’ve had this Rolla for about 4 years, I drove it for about 2 years it started to show signs of rust, I was about to start cutting the rust out but had to move house and parked it at my parents place and bought a motorbike. So it sat there for 2 years and now I have a place with a small shed so I have brought it home to start fixing her.

Hey peeps! Always loved the ke70 and finally picked one up. Sure not the best condition but I couldn't refuse the $150 price tag and PANEL VAN! Motor is seized aswell as brakes. Manual box feels good. Nearly no rust except a few pin holes in not important places. Interior doesn't exist. Not much planned for it. Replace motor and put a auto behind it. Low and on a nice set of rims. Interior, just bring it back to standard. Nothing flash just after a nice cruiser. Wishfull thinking: 7k motor. Commodore/magna front brake. Lsd disc brake diff from a corona. It will be a slow build as I'm currently finishing my Datsun 521.

any modern engines for ke70 like zz, rz, nz or else? 7K and 4age are almost impossible to find, if found , they are not in good condition and extremely expensive. any one who has done a modern engine into ke70?

Got bored doing v6 conversion

Due to covid19 pandemic work are suspended here in the philippines, so i have to spend the whole day staying at home. This gives me a chance to work on my project ke70, instead of spending my whole day watching ke70 restoration process in youtube. I decided to strip it to bare metal using angle grinder with 36 grit 4" flap disc (no available paint stripper paint shops were close due to lockdown), removed all carpet, dashboard etc.

hi guys I am starting to gather everything before i start the conversion. I'm new to rotors so any help would be great. motor is N/A out of a s2 rx7. I'm just learning i need to fit an oil cooler into the ke which I am assuming i can purchase aftermarket. does anyone know much about an air pump. i know squat about em but do i need one to get engineer cert in NSW. cheers.

Haven't had a project car in while, a friend of mine picked this up 18months ago and went home shortly after buying it (we're Irish), it's been sat in another friend's yard since collecting dust so I gave him a phone call and asked how much he wanted for it and he said if I can have it in exchange for giving him a couch to crash on when he comes back over for a holiday! So happy days, a free Ke70! It's 1982, the paints well faded but overall its in decent nick for its age, counted 7 small patches off rust on it nothing to crazy. Finally got my hands on one of these bad boys. 210k on original motor. Stock as a rock besides the steering wheel. Bit if rust around the boot/rear light area but nothing too bad. Not sure which way I wanna go with it yet. Leaning towards drift.

I have an 1983 SR5 Corolla Hardtop and wanted to see if anyone has a seatbelt for the driver side (left side in my case, USA). Hi there...I'm very new to the corolla community since I last owned a Ke70 20 years ago. My question is I have chosen a ca18det engine for my conversion and looking at help into what rear end I should be looking at as I'm sure the standard wouldn't cope. Is there a straight bolt in diff axles and drums I can put in for a bit more more strength?would a carona diff fit and do the job?or and recommendations would be great... I will be putting a big brake upgrade on the front.
