My Sister (the blood blister) came around a few weeks ago to service the civic. The car's pushing 36 years old and she's no car buff, so I mentioned that it might be time to start looking for a newer daily. As I've got the 'rolla bug, I was thinking AE92 with auto, air and power. The budget was as cheap as possible, so planned to grab a nice one and fix 'er up. Last week I spied a ae82 with super low ks that had been sitting in a paddock. The same day I went to look at it one of the girls at work approached me and asked; what should she do with her N13 Pulsar? I listed the usual, carpoint, evil bay etc, and she said she wasn't interested. She just wanted it go…

On thursday night I pulled out of a carpark near Dandenong Road & Springvale road. Behind me comes a Kia Rio. Yeah my car is nanna spec and I wasn't going fast, but my rio friend flashed the lights and abuse! Naturally I reacted in the Bamboo way. I jammed on the brakes and more heat. He thought he'd be tuff and chase me down. I started the chase around the estate! He got in front of me and tried to predict my turns. Fail. He then spent 20+ minutes in pursuit around the estate! He wasn't going to give up! But, he couldn't drive for toffee! I kept rallying around I stripped my club lock ready for confrontation. Not required.…

Car fans around the world can breathe a sigh of relief – your latest fix of action packed virtual racing is here. Courtesy of Turn10, the latest rendition of the highly prized ‘racing simulator’ has opted to change the style of gameplay to something new. And we’re all for it. Forza Horizons differs greatly from the previous games. It is not so much an extension of the previous game; more a branch off so to say. Gameplay has changed in a sense that there is an ‘open world’ method of browsing challenges and races. One can cruise the streets of Colorado looking for races that they can compete in to no doubt earn dollars, prizes and cars. Sounds good! Visual…

A guy calls his buddy the horse rancher and says he's sending a friend over to look at a horse. His buddy asks "How will I recognize him?" That's easy, he's a midget with a speech impediment." So, the midget shows up, and the guy asks him if he's looking for a male or female horse. "A female horth." So he shows him a prized filly. "Nith lookin horth. Can I thee her eyeth"? So the guy picks up the midget and he gives the horse's eyes The once over. "Nith eyeth, can I thee her earzth"? So he picks the little fella up again, and shows him the horse's ears. "Nith earzth, can I see her mouf"? The rancher is gettin' pretty ticked off by this point, but he picks…

This guy opened up one of the first Toyota dealerships in the USA. It would appear he elected to keep just a few of his stock vehicles along the way... Muhumunuh Wrong-side-drive or not, I would still sacrifice a testicle (the left one) for some of this old metal. Enjoy.

Welcome to Townsville... where the desert meets the sea. Trivia: Did you know humans actually LIVE here? No really... like thousands of them. God knows why. Sweet mother earth approacheth with alarming rapidity. I learn later the pilot was in desperate need of bladder evacuation. Vehicle collected, Townsville abandoned amidst much haste, the journey back north began immediately... aaaand promptly stopped again 80k's north with the temp needle so far to the right it was fighting for space with the tacho. Cause of problem established... Milkshake anyone? The dreaded BHG... Every liquid on hand emptied into radiator, 80kph, 50 kilometer stints, main highway,…

This test only has one question, but it's a very important one. By giving an honest answer, you will discover where you stand morally. The test features an unlikely and completely fictional situation in which you will have to make a decision. Remember that your answer needs to be honest, yet spontaneous. You are in Darwin. There is chaos all around you, caused by a cyclone accompanied by severe flooding... a flood of biblical proportions. You're a photojournalist working for a major newspaper, caught in the middle of this epic disaster. The situation is nearly hopeless. You're trying to shoot career-making photos. Water and debris is swirling around p…

I've seen a BMX thread so I searched for a mountain bike thread and nothing came up so I'll start one. Years ago I rode enduro dirt bikes, I was winging to a mate about the costs of this and he invited me to come ride a DH bike as it's mainly a setup cost. Well I did ended up hooked sold the old dirt bike and the rest is history. Raced a couple of state race rounds which is fun and the DH community is very welcoming. I mainly ride the local trails 15min from home and mt buller when they are open. So here are details of my current ride(pics later tonight when I get to the laptop). Frame : 2003 Kona stab deluxe(could have a newer one but I like the way it rides). Fork…

Hi kids, uncle shady here again. Today, we're going to learn about the history of Drifting. Before D1GP, before Takumi, before the HachiRoku and the mountain roads of Gifu, before clapped out S13 silvias collecting the armco in the Adelaide hills, even before Americans in honda civics, wet roads and e-brakes... there was rally. Back in my day, we called drifting "powersliding" ... and it was universally regarded as a very slow and inefficient method of negotiating a corner. It was, nevertheless, fun to watch. :D

http://www.inflexwetrust.com/2011/10/29/tech-talk-news-hackers-threaten-drug-cartel/ "An international group of online hackers is warning a Mexican drug cartel to release one of its members, kidnapped from a street protest, or it will publish the identities and addresses of the syndicate’s associates, from corrupt police to taxi drivers, as well as reveal the syndicates’ businesses. The vow is a bizarre cyber twist to Mexico’s ongoing drug war, as a group that has no guns is squaring off against the Zetas, a cartel blamed for thousands of deaths as well as introducing beheadings and other frightening brutality. “You made a huge mistake by taking one of us…

a 3k in a ke35 would be like pushing shit uphill if you want it to drift in the dry. get a bigger motor, or at least a supercharger.....you need torque. otherwise sell your ke35, find a ke10, fit a 5k to that and you may well drift. what is the fascination with drifting anyway? it is slower through a corner, unless the road is dirt.
