What is this? The old KE70.com forum had become rundown and neglected. The software was old, barely functional anymore and infested with spammers. Neither Teddy or myself had the time needed to devote to reviving and rebuilding the old forums. The idea of merging the forum with Rollaclub is not a new one, however the decision to do so only came about recently. While we would have liked to migrate all of the posts and members (who aren't already members here), this currently is not realistic. Hey all, I very recently acquired a 5k motor and I plan to fit it to my Ke70, I know how to do the engine swap so no questions there Since Currently the 4k in my ke70 is worked (2x 40 DCOE webers, Tighe 104 cam, 2' inch exhaust, 40 thou overbore for ACL pistons, All rotating components have been balanced, lightend flywheel, MSD 6a ignition system w/Blaster 2 coil...etc.) I've had my hand on working 4k's...But I've honestly done a 5k before so in the interest of learning etc. I'd like to know this What mods/specs have people built their 5k's (must be n/a, no forced induction) to, What kind of power output am I looking at (Streetable... like the 4k above)..…

Hi team, Currently in the process of rebuilding a wee kp for summertime skids & coffee cruising. Bought the kp and have come to realise it’s got a dished piston bottom end and what I believe to be a 5k head and have confirm this with the previous owner but it’s all “apparently”. The head has got the two knobs under each spark tube at both ends. Anyway, I’ve turfed the facto radiator and electric fan and have gone for the Fenix ke70 ally rad/fan shroud kit for maximum coolage when abusing it over the takaka hill. Question being, are the entire top & bottom thermostat housings compatible across the range of 2k-5k heads? …

Hey guys. Have recently put in another engine and running into a few issues It starts but begins to play up and stalls. Only runs with choke on and ends up dying still within like a min . Could this be something to do with a blocked jet, timing, bad fuel, dirty fuel filter or air fuel mixture ?? Second issue I have is that my radio and clock are running as soon as you put the negative cable on the battery. Have checked the earths in the engine bay but they are bolted in. hi looking at putting some new wheels on my car been looking at some on rota (taged a pic) what i want to know is if i get some of thees wheels at 15 by 7 on the front and 15 by 8 on the rear with a 0 offset on both and a 50 sires Tyre with the side wall with some stretch under the car plus I'm happy to lip the grads but i do want them to be under the grad at the end of the day i am also going to lower it a bit but i want to get the wheels on the car first so that i know how far i want to drop it thanks

hi i have done lots of research on what motor to put in my ke70 I'm looking for something that will go onto the trans i have and fit on the engine blocks that are in the car from its original 4k that i have don't want to go super fast just something like a 2L or 1.8L with electronic intake not a carb just looking to here some ideas from you guys and what you would do

Comes with chrome front and rear bumpers, tail lights, door vent covers, etc. I'm not too familiar with this chassis, so I don't really know the value of the extra parts this thing is coming with. Along with the specs of the motor however, does it sound worth it?

Hello there I'm the owner of a ke70 and i'm planning to do the 4age conversion alongside upgrades to the suspension (coilovers, ae86 suspension all round, ae86 brakes, etc) Now i need some advice on whether or not do the engine conversion first and then the suspension or vice versa? The suspension i can do no my own but the engine conversion i cannot. So what do you guys recommend doing first? Thanks in advance

Hey guys, New member and new to Toyotas. My background is old Ford Escorts and modern VWs and Skodas but want to try something different so looking at getting a KE70 . I'm keen to do a conversion but unsure which way to go, 4age 20V or 3sge beams? From what I've read on your immensely helpful threads the 20V seems like an easier conversion? That extra power from the beams would be nice though. Is the extra power from the beams worth the extra effort or would some cams and head work on a 20V be not far off the beams? Thinking of doing hillclimbs so running in the 1600 class as opposed to the 2000 class would also be advantageous. Also, does anyone on the forum do or know o…

Hi all , I’ve recently bought an old KE70 wagon that I’m wanting to restore, I’ve noticed under the bonnet there’s a sticker saying that the car can contain asbestos, I know that older cars has asbestos in the brake pads, clutches and some seals, I’m just wondering what else contains asbestos in the car? Does the interior insulation or car underbody coating contain asbestos? any help or information would be appreciated Shane

Hey guys I just bought a ke70 but the front bumper on it doesn't fit right, I was told it because the bumper is off a ke71 or ae71 maybe not sure, all i wanted to know is, is it just a different bumper skin or do i need the metal reinforcement also?

Hi Rollaclub members. i'm a new member here and so happy to be a part rollaclub. I got some questions since I can't find any swap of 1nz-fe into a ke-70. Need to know that if it's possible to swap it into a KE70 with a 5speed tranny which i don't know what will fit and will the engine work on a Keinhin Flat CV carby? Hi, I am looking for an intake manifold throttle body of a 7k EFI KR-42 town ace. I am from Fiji and unfortunately there is no one here in Fiji that has this exact part. I really do need someone to help me with getting this part. Howdy Rollaclub/KE70.com, I'm looking at engine options for my panelvan and was just wondering what advice or experiences some of you guys might have to add. At the moment the panelvan has a 4K 5speed in it with extractors 2'' exhaust and a webber carb. I have a few schools of thought as to what to do with it. option 1- Work the 4K a bit harder... cam, head work and maybe forced induction. Option 2- source a 5K. cam, carb, exhaust and thinking about supercharging it. (not sure on pitfalls/difficulties and tuning) Option 3- 4AGE with basic mods, the only thing that turns me off this idea is the amount of work to get the car legal in SA and the cost of the …

hi guys i have a ke70 that has a 4k in it, it is running a 3k carby. the problem is when the car starts cold it is fine, but upon warming up it stalls on idle and at traffic lights and such, i am kind of a noob when it comes to carbies and have been searching for a solution. any help is greatly appreciated :y:

Hello ladies and gents, I picked myself up an '81 ke70 a few weeks ago and wish to put club plates on it in a few months once the rust repairs are done. Hey so I've recently brought a 1982 ke70, with a 4k in it still. I also brought a set of extractors off ebay. I went to install them only to find that on the intake manifold, there is a little tube that's goes to some sort of filter (I'm assuming that's what it is, laugh if you will) and then continues into The exhaust manifold, so if I install the extractors it doesn't have the little port to connect anymore (unless I make one, which I do not want to do) so can you tell me, do I need this thing? hi people, my wife has a 89 corolla hatch, ive just rebuilt the motor to find the stock carby has no idle or mixture adjustment, I want to put a holley or down draft webber on it, is there any intake manifolds available for the holley. I have recently acquired an 82 ke70 cs that is in as near to new condition as you could find. I was after a much older coupe or wagon project and came by this, not being able to resist due to its condition i now have buyers remorse as it isnt what i really wanted. So i was after some opinions as to what it may be worth thinking i might sell it to persue my original ideas.
