  2. Hi Guys, Have just started fixing this up so I'll keep updating as i go. All the good stuff done by previous owners, 20v silver top head, GZE bottom end, GT35r Turbo, Mr2 gearbox, custom driveshafts, intercooler and intake, Haltech E6K, etc... theres probably still a write up on it on here from the guy that built it. Anyway, its been sitting for a while so i've started working on the maintenance bits to make it streetable and reliable again. Crashed an EP82 last year so I'm stealing bits from that. The front struts were shagged but with little gentle pursuasion, the ep82 struts, which were less than 12 months old, fitted up nicely. The battery was …

  3. Hey guys, since i got to brisbane (recently moved here from darwin NT) ive been looking to fill the void that is not owning a rolla... On the lookout, good old rolla club delivered. Picked up this rolla the other day and the white one for spares the one with flames and the 5k in it needs some work, it had some serious noises inside the head when i went to look at it. Got it home and found the last rocker had come off, to fix that i stole the retainer c clip and spring shim out of the other engine. while i had it apart i pulled the head and checked out the pistons and everything and replaced the head gasket. With everything back together it started first…

Hey ladies and kentleman. Yet another car yet another long boring story. Anyways, With she who must be obeyed taking the RT40 as her own and it not really being a suitable daily anyways, i decided to start looking for something to suit my tastes. the criteria was the following: -it had to me big and comfy, as I'm a tall kent -aircon and power steer were preferred, -auto was a big must, i severely dislike driving in heavy traffic, and frankly I'm getting old and soft. - preferably something big enough to tow my trailer a little more comfortably than my poor DX, its only a little box trailer but then again its only a little corolla. - it preferred the idea…

Well like every story starts off, i was looking for a car. We had just sold the pajero and i wanted something to have as a daily driver as my corolla is just receiving far too much police attention with its mods it has. Found a couple cars on carsales.com i wanted to go and look at, so i made some phone calls and organised to go look at them all on a saturday. The first was a MX73 cressida, that was in shocking condition and quite frankly wasnt even worth the 500 bucks being asked. id hoped it was better cause i really wanted one of them as a new daily, but not much i can do there. The second car we went and looked at was one i hadnt told my missus much about just…

  9. Hi there, Thinking (very indecisivly)about selling my one of a kind, unmodified, 1982 KE70 Toyota Corolla Panelvan. After returning back from overseas, & uncovering my little car after the 12months it had not been driven, i am considering selling my pride & joy. This awesome little panelvan, I assume, must be some kind of import. I have never seen another with the "Custom Sport" logos & strips. I also don't know if this "paint" scheme came from Toyota like this, but have no idea about it. Plus a few other little indifferences I have seen with other KE70's, door handles, chrome bumpers, also the roof racks/basket, which I havent seen on any model corol…

  12. Since changes to my employment situation were forced upon me in December, I have been belting around in my mechanics AE91 Levin. Its been quite a pleasant place to be, but two doors didn't really suit having a 5 month old bub. So when this very clean AE95 wagon popped up on carsales for not much money, complete with rego until August, I thought it might be worth a look. Seeing some of the TCCAV lads's machines also helped the cause, their fondness for them is infectious!! Rocked on down to Frankston on Sunday, took it for a drive, did the deal and brought her home. I am very pleased with how clean it is. Allegedly owned by mechanics previous to the owner I bou…

Hi guys. So, I'm new here and this is my first corolla! YAY! My other half has always been a fan of corollas, I guess it has finally rubbed off on me. I've been driving a daewoo for the last four years, so it's a bit of an upgrade in my opinion. I know nothing about cars, I just know I like the look of this one. My other half has agreed to teach me all about the car so I can start playing around with it myself, but for now I'm just happy to cruise around. My plans thus far: Rust repair New Tyres Polish the hubcaps and trims New weather strips Repaint the tail light surrounds New side mirrors All simple things that i can do without much help... I hope.…

yesterday i acquired a ke25, it is a 73 deluxe auto. it came as a rolling shell with no motor or box. the shell is pretty much rust free, with the only rust i've found being in the bottoms of the front guards and a bit on one side under the radiator support panel. the bottom of the doors and rear guards are excellent rustwise. needs a bit of panelbeating and a paintjob. the interior is pretty good. needs a hood liner, dashtop, and carpet. otherwise it is pretty overrated. anyway here's some pics:

She's stoked and already has fallen in love with it. Needs a little few minor touch ups and a good detail. Will get some pics up soon.

Thought it was finally time to start my own ride thread, after reading everyones thread and was inspired to share my project with everyone and maybe get some tips and hints along the way. My sister in law then moved to Perth and didnt want to pay the freight so sold it to her Mums partner who gave it to his daughter for her fir…

Ok, so miracles do happen and I've acually picked up tools and worked on a car :o Since I bent the last one a little, I figured I'd build one properly in an attempt to actually finish a car for once. So it's been sitting in the yard getting rustier and moldy while I collected parts (plus tools) and got a rough plan of things to do. Started with this on Thursday last week Hit it with some hammers and drank a little alcohol and it changed colour a bit. This is more or less how it sits now. Overspray ʞ©$ɟing EVERYWHERE, but it's red, and that's what matters. Next, an attempt at rego. Yes Ryan, it's getting THAT engine. And finall…
