Ciao from Athens! I want to share some pics of my red diva with the community. She was bought a couple of years ago from a mariner who drove her rarely and was stored most of the time in his garage. She has about 130.000 km on speedo, the interior and engine bay are in like new condition, completely rust free wheels, engine bay, around the chassis and inside the trunk.. Maintenance wise, just the basic stuff: upon delivery I replaced the oils, filters, spark plugs, contact points, rear diff oil, fitted new tyres and some water cooling lines which looked not good to the eye and to the touch (more like a preventive action). I rarely use her for daily city commu…

So i got a message from guy that said "I have a 67 station wagon, Very rough".. After a quick call, with cash in hand i went and had a look... A 1st gen wagon has been something i've dreamed of since i can ever remember.. And the thought of one being so close to me for so long... I had to have it. It was rough... The car had sat in a long grass paddock since early 1990's.. And it showed. Every panel dented, rusted.. Hyper extended door, rat piss interior "Ran when parked"... I had to save it. I paid the man, Organised a truck and it arrived the next day. So, Here it is.. My 1967 Ke16!

Well it's been a long time since I've had a project, but picked up this ke20 from a mate's dad looking to get rid of some vehicles. It's had a respray at some stage, as well as new springs and discs just before he took it off the road 7 years ago and it has just sat there. Plan is just to tidy up the body, get it running and then registered. Few things need to happen though Rust repairs driver's side fender Driver's door fouls on fender (opened when I went to look at it the other day so don't know if it's moved during transport) Grill and bumper wonky (doesn't look like from impact damage, just poorly reset) Brakes have no fluid in the reservoir Hasn't starte…

I bought this KE70 october last year (2015), and tought id make a build thread now. Its been a year and i have done some modifications to it. Gotten a lot of help looking at different threads here on Rollaclub, so thougt i'd just publish it. A little warning tho, I'm not a professional mechanic and I'm kinda learning as i go, I've had mopeds that I've worked on and a bmw that i kept ''hellastock''. So yeah I've gradually moved on to what in my eyes are more difficult things. And i have gotten a lot of help from my father who is a mechanic. Thought id just make a fast foward in pictures and some comments from when i bought it to where it sits now. Bought it like this, …

Hey everyone, I'm new to the Rollaclub forum. Short story about how I got myself into this. Few months back, was looking at owning my first car. Thought of the Corolla and really liked the aesthetics of the AE82 - AE94. Thought maybe I could find something to work on. So after 2 months of "research" (not comprehensive enough I would think), got myself an AE94 CSi Ltd (for about a week now). She's done about 290k and still runs pretty good. Got her for a decent price with my savings. Before getting her I already knew some restoration was needed and I was prepared to do it. Thought it would be a good learning experience for me to get down and dirty with the car. But lookin…

So after selling my Stagea i needed a new daily driver.. I bought a 1978 Mazda 323 Bugeye needing minimal work. Did a few mods, Blew it up and then needed another daily while i fix it.. So i bought this! 1.6 Manual converted. 151000ks. Full nugget spec with total neglect, Weldy choppies etc shitbox I had it for about 2 days before hating it so broke out the spanners. Doing plugs discovered 3 different kinds of plug and burnt out points. Wound timing back to an acceptable level while i was there. Removed the weldy in favor of a 4.11 open diff and added some fresh shoes and wheel cylinders. While i was there i added an AJPS adjustable panhard bar i got…

Decided that, upon viewing how active the blogs section was, a forum was the appropriate way of doing things? I reckon this forum will be pretty much a "from this point forwards" sort of thing. Current date 26-9-2016. You can find my blog here should you want to have a look: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/blog/84-the-kids-ke15/ But before I start this forum off, I'd like to tell the story of how the car has progressed to the stage it is at now. -From the beginning. From the very beginning, with every detail I'm willing to expose publicly. It's a pretty personal story so don't be surprised if there's sappy bits. (Hope you like reading! :P) Storyt…

Hi, I just recently bought my first Toyota, so I am still learning about them but so far I am in love with this car. It's got a few minor dents and dings here and there and needs major interior work, but other than that it is totally rust free, engine runs like a watch (the transmission is a different story), and the body is totally straight. Tell me what you think, and any info on where to find parts ect. would be much appreciated. Thanks! Goose

Welcome! You may have had a look at my other thread at http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/72174-best-engine-swap-for-ke30/, where I was after information on engine swaps. I will be fixing and modding my 4k. I have a forum post on mighty car mods forum which I will edit a link in tonight. Now, my plans for the Rolla are: - Fix the miss in cylinder 1 - Buy extractors and finish building the custom exhaust - Fix the boot (its not bolted on, no inserts in the boot) - New steelies and tyres - New gaskets and piston rings - Paint it (red, orange, blue or white) - Weber carburettor Things I have done since I bought it: - New tachometer - Fixed t…

Hi, I just joined this forum and this is my first post. I'm 20 and from the very top of Norway, my daily is a 2004 Audi A6 1.8T Quattro. Recently I bought a 79' Ke30 online, and I'm going to pick it up next week! The car is already insured and registered in my name. Unfortunately the car seems to have lived a rough life on the salty roads of Norway and therefore there's some rust on it. The previous owner have rustwelded parts of the channels. What's left (that I know of) is a wheel well and a hole in the trunk. The car have have rolled around 330000km (205000 miles) I'm so excited to pick it up! I'll keep you guys updated.

I am looking for the man I brought this car off to ask some questions about the work done on the engine. I brought this car in 2010 from a man in Pimpama, QLD. The car had no plates and looked like it does in this picture. I am trying to find more information on what work they had done to the engine. Any help would be great. Cheers, Jamie

Its probably not the done thing any more, but I still like to keep a build thread on my rides so I remember what I did to them along the journey! So introducing my latest acquistion, a very clean 1978 MX32 Cressida. I wanted to get something I could put the kids in the back of, that had power steering and aircon, and was generally going to be a comfortable family cruiser. This popped up on ebay for quite a bit of cash, and was all the way over in Albany WA. But it looked immaculate and I fell in love. Spoke with the owners and they had bought it from a car yard, who had bought it from the original owner, an old bloke who had handed in his licence. They were g…

Hi All. Scotland based newbie here, with a KE25 imported from Australia. The long term plan here is to do a restoration with a 4AGE running on carbs. To then be used for fun and the occasional track day. When I bought it: It was white, unmolested, no previous welding done and relatively rust free (for Scottish standards at least). When it was in Australia: When it arrived with me: First impressions were pretty good. Got it rolled into the garage and started making a list of parts I needed. There was some damage in shipping from Aus as you can see in the photos - Worst being the front apron and indicator lights needing som…

Hey all, thought I'd share a few pictures and details of my ke35. I bought the car last year in 2015. I traveled about 3 hours south of Sydney to pick it up! It has a 4sp manual powered by a 3k. I've been toying with the idea of building this car and swapping the engine but I'm still undecided. Torn between the idea of power and keeping things original. This is the not long after I bought it. It was sitting on 15x6.5 inch Lenso wheels at stock height. The car had no center console so I rigged up a ke70 handbrake surround and installed the gear stick surround also. I installed a head unit in the centre console and carpeted the rear parcel tray. I put …

Hello, I've been lurking here for some time now and I thought to share my project with you. It's a 1974 Ke20 which I bought about five years ago in a very bad shape. Thinking afterwards I would've saved very much time by getting a better body to start with. So for the next five months I spent all my time in the garage welding that rusty little car. Got a little hurry when summer came and I had to get it back on road so I painted it matt black with spray and drove happily for the summer. At this time it had a 4K motor with some Webers. Didn't go very fast. I'm missing pics from this time, I'll add them here if I find them. Got tired to the lack of po…

Not much to explain with this one. Hassled the owner for the last 3 years to sell this thing and never wanted to part with it then decided to sell the property. He called me first and said if i wanted it come and get it. So yeah basic run down 1965? Rt40 corona, 3 speed manual columb shift, tired smokey 2r engine, bugger all body rust and a shagged interior. :) not bad since it has been sitting for 15 years and still runs. Still undecided what to do with it :/

Hey Rolla heads So I just bought this 74 wagon and pulled it out of a field in the middle of no where. The body is very straight with very little rust (I was shocked) The interior is an absolute mess and looks like a bomb has hit it. Whoever bolted the brake booster to the firewall bolted it straight through the wiring loom and fried everything. The whole car needs to be rewired. The engine has bigger Pistons, valves, springs, lumpy cam, crank, ect ect I found all the receipts from the build in the car. Engine doesn't run thought :( I think it was a bit of a backyard build. I'm not sure at this stage of I will build the car for myself as a daily or…

Hey guys Been lurking this forum as a visitor for a while now collecting various info and answers, and figured id make an account and share my KE70 build and some of the progress ive made so far. Along the way i will be sharing some of the methods i use while also hopefully learning much in return! I'm 24 now and Ive had a lot of cars from V8s and 6s to 4x4s but never a corolla/drifter. This is my first propper race intended build/project and what i hope to be an awesome learning experience, but is equally likely to be a nightmare for my bank account and what my mate describes as a world of hurt... Regardless, let the fun begin!! I bought the car around christmas tim…

Hey guys, I picked this up back in 2011 from a guy that could never get it running right which turned out to be a boost cut defender on the map sensor line (ha it's map sensor only), after sitting in a mates yard for a while I decided to register it but had it hoon impounded 2 days later (damn you 1j skids). It's a grande Cressida that has had a Jzx front cut put in it including the digital dash, factory intercooler etc, it makes for an awesome daily driver and a good sleeper. Not sure on plans at this stage.

Blizzos KP61 rally car hey guys, blake aka blizzo here. New to the forum but usually lurk on oldschool.co.nz. This build has been going on for over a year now but thought i would throw the history up here So a dream of mine over the last few years of lurking in the corner of my father in laws rally career has finally come true. I recently took ownership of am 83 Kp rally car. I have been wanting to get on the gravel for a while, and have had a go co driving for my father in law in his escort. Now its time to get into the hot seat myself. He gave me a bit of cash towards this starlet under the priviso that he sits in the co pilot seat and teaches me with the occa…

Hi Guys, I've had this posted on 3TC however, I may be more at home here. I'll start moving my posts over slowly. In March of 2014 I finally found a candidate to build. I was actually hoping for a TE27 but was very happy when I found this straight and complete clean title TE21 in Sacramento. Drove the hour and fifteen to meet my cousin and we headed to meet the seller at STS (Santo Toy Shop) in Sac. After looking over the car and a few test drives, we agreed on the price and completed the deal. Got it home safely after a careful hour and a half drive home in the rain. The cut front springs and the steering box made for quite the intense trip home lol …

Hello everyone. I recently picked up a 92 AE94. It's been quite a while since I've had a toy. Had an 88 alltrac celica 20 years ago. I've been running hondas for the past decade. Looking forward to chatting with everyone, and I apologize if this is the wrong place for a greet post. I only use my phone for the internet, and it's hard sometimes with new sites.

Hey there mates ! I picked up this little beaut on a total whim a few weeks ago. I was perusing my local classifieds for a car for my girlfriend and came upon this. She's more into american cars so she wasn't interested but i'm a sucker for toyotas and just had to go see it. Well it took quite a while to get warmed up where it could drive but it tracks straight and its as clean as we can get em on the coast here. i was surprized by how little rust is starting to show. So after a while of admiring it and bullshitting cars with the seller i broke down and bought it. my truck project was starting to bore me anyways. Anyways i got it home and have been toying with …

Hi all, Thought it was about time I started a build thread for my AE71 CSX. I'll give you a bit of a run down on what I know about it and since found out about it body wise and what my plans are and have been for about 5 years since I bought it! Before I bought it I always wanted an AE86 and pestered my friends brother to sell me his, to no avail, so I did some more research on older RWD corollas and found out that lots of AE86 parts are interchangeable into the AE71's. As the thought process continued... hmmm 4 doors isn't as cool but is more practical, it seemed like the better and cheaper option. So after hunting around for one for some time I came across …
