Hey, i've been doin this for about 6 months now. i have it at work so i do a bit on my lunch breaks, after work when i can and on sat mornings. thought i'd put up a bit of it. Nothin special just a stock 30 with a 3K and 4spd. I got it for free so can't complain! Over not a bad little car. My plans were to give it a quick scotch brite and matt black. :) That went out the window of course! Just got away from me. Started rubbing and didn't stop. I now want to get it as straight as i can and spray it the colour of the ford rip curl utes. (greeny blue) And now i want to put a vn v6 in it. Cos they're so cheap. pics wont work. it says they're too big? it only lets …

Okay, I've decided to list Lola in the Projects section. This topic will cover any stuff I do to improve her and also what I plan to do. For those of you unaware, below are her current specs. 1981 KE55 4-door AE101 4A-GZE T50 transmission Borg-Warner KE55 diff (currently broken, soon to be welded) I have at this stage removed the back seat, carpets, and heater. Remember, this car is for circuit racing only. I could have got her registered (she's been registered when owned by the first owner), but it'd be too much hassle and I want to make her the best race car I can afford to, and that will probably make her unroadworthy. Now, here's what I'm currently …

Plans: Lower, kingies up front and lowering blocks on the rear. Well I thought I'd start a new thread for this AE71 I bought a few weeks ago. It was in a bit of a front to rear prang with the previous owner unfortunately so a little bit of 'extra' work I originally didn't want to encounter in a build up will be needed. I bought a damaged car as opposed to straight because it came up at the right price. Those of you who know I have a daily driver AE71, don't get it confused with this car. My daily driver thread... http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?s...c=7677&st=0 Enough chat now, pictures say a thousand words... The car had no plates and looked like it does in this picture. I am trying to find more information on what work they had done to the engine. Any help would be great. Cheers, Jamie

Hey, I've started accumulating the bits and pieces for my turbo 5K. The plan is to use my 5K block, bore it out 0.5 - 1.5mm. Use some 78 internal, 81 - 82 exteranl, cast steel sleeves in the bores. I scored 4 rb20det pistons with 80k on em for 20 bucks! So that should work nice with some brass inserts to connects the rods. The pistons are 3.2 mm shorter than a 5K unit so I'm gonna deck the block 1mm and shave the head 1mm too, and use a 1mm copper head gasket with a double O-ring. I'll reconfigure the head a bit too. It should be about 1.4 L and 7.5 - 7.8 : 1 compression ratio after that. I plan not to rev it too hard so I'm gonna stick with standard 5K rods…

My other car, a RN85 Hilux with a 1JZ-GTE, has been giving me a lot of dramas this year, so there was always a little thought in the back of my mind about getting a reliable daily. I found this purely by accident as it wasn't advertised. It was sitting under some carports at work collecting dust and hadn't moved for ages when I parked next to it and noticed the for sale sign in the window. It's a KE35 Corolla coupe, 3K motor with a 4 speed manual and only 122000kms. It's currently unregistered but only needs a battery and 5 new tyres. The engine sounds great and has no oil leaks. Hey Guys, have been on this site for ages but lost my old login. Anyway, thought I'd might as well contribute and post up something about my Rollas. I had an AE82 twinky hatch for about 5 years as a daily. Loved it, but it was pretty rough. Look good from afar, but was far from good. Anyway, time came that I needed a new daily driver, and for cheap. I had intended on dragging the old twinky from mum and dads backyard. I figured that it would at least need 4 new tyres and 4 shocks. So I was up for at least a grand to get it back on the road. But then, searching gumtree I found another. Exactly the same model, but about 100,000 ks younger. Plus it had power-stee…

It was a fair travel to Taradale, 50kms South of Bendigo, thanks to Evan G for giving me a hand picking it up. She is red in colour, exterior is in alright condition has some rust in the usual places, righthand rear arch, and the boot. The paint could do with a cut and polish some minor paint damage on the front left gaurd, rust is starting to develop. Planning to just sand it back and give it a touch up so it's barely noticeable. Also the front stone tray has a fair amount of stone damage too, so I plan to pull the panel off and repaint it. The front bumper is a bit warped t…

Probably have seen that on the interwebs via club-k or garage3tc/3tcgarage and other forums or my website toycrazy.net and youtube user toycrazynz.
