so we don't clog up someone elses thread is this achievable, before you laugh have a think and come up with a thought on how to make this possible, My thoughts, TO4Z garrett mechanical fuel injection nitro methane for fuel 35% fuel to air mixture 18/1 compression ratio cams, valves, springs, ports, pistons, rods, crank, to allow for about 20000rpm i think you would need about 350kw flywheel to achieve this possible or not?

If decided to bike carb my 4k because at the end of the day its just a ke70 if I wanted power I would of got a different car with a quick motor not relying on a motor swap. So just asking people who have done it before what do I need? What carbs should I get? Seen r1 used alot I can get a custom manifold made for super cheap. Will my accelerator cable work or will it have to be custom or something? Cheers in advance

Read this right through so you know you have the tools to do it before you start! Bits of pipe, grease gun, a solid hammer....! This is a straightforward job, well technically straightforward and simpler than changing a distributor, but it does need some mechanical hammer work! A side takes about 1-1.5hrs without hurrying. I did one a day, no rush. First, buy two to these. Mine were for my Corona LCAs, I don't know if the KE70 etc are identical, but this part number fits Corona, Celica, & KE Corollas in theory. Get organised- I have a floodlight, several square of carpet to sit on, and I keep the tool box nearby. I get out the tool I want, use it, then p…

Hi, Have a "semi-mystery" Diff on my bench in the work shop and I need to know how to measure it so I can narrow down exact model what it will fit etc. Also if possible can some members measure the diameter of the splines on a KE3X and newer diff and a KE2X and KE1X diff and count the splines? I have no spare axles out atm. Cheers Cameron

I'm looking to have my distributor re-curved. It's a stock 4KC dizzy in good working order. Engine currently features a Weber 38/38, carb base plate port matched for carb adapters and intake manifold carb opening. The dizzy is electronic but features a vacuum advance and retard. I am using the big port intake manifold--it's been cleaned up on both ends. I am also using a set of extractors. As it's sit now--is it worth it to re-curve the dizzy's timing advance? When I add my performance camshaft and reworked cylinder head? I'm still under the assumption that Toyota ignition systems work just fine for most application. So, it seems like just re-curvi…

Hey. Is there anyway you can stop petrol splashing out of the feul tank. The KE70s don't have a valve to prevent splashback around the feul tank thing. I just did a bit of work removing the rust and getting it looking nice and was wondering if there was a way to stop it from happening again. Eg installing the valve. Thanks.

  29. My Dear Friends, I found my engine rod bearings caps worn and need to replace. Engine is in good condition and no need to use repair version of bearing caps. So I am going to replace existing rod bearing caps with standard ones. But I have one problem. Toyota has produced three standard rod bearing caps as marked 1,2 and 3. Each type is different from few micrometers. So we need to replace old bearing cap with new one which should be always similar to the old one number. Toyota has discontinued them producing. Third party manufacturers (like TAIHO) only produce one standard type and they do not have 1,2 and 3 as such. Will I be able to use this third party bearing …

For some reason there are two threads, can one of the mods delete this one? Hey RC, So I bought a new coilover kit from T3. They're all new and shiny, and I want them to stay that way, plus keep dust and crap away from the dampers. So I made these: I know coilover covers can be bought, but I couldn't find any in the right size, and most of them were pretty pricey anyway. These cost me $18 each to make, and here's what I used to make them: 1 x meters of the heaviest canvas I could find (bought too much) 1 x meters of Velco strips 2 x meters of cord(more would have been better) And here's what I used to make them: 1 x fabric scissors 1 x ruler/…

Guys, Having this terrible squeaking sound coming from my boot. 1981 Corolla KE70. Think its the bar that holds the boot up. Whenever I drive, small movements of the car will cause it to squeak. My whole journey is filled with squeaking. Anyone encountered this before? Need some help before I break that bar. So what if it doesn't hold the boot up. Help! Just need it to stop squeaking!!! Thanks guys! :y:

  35. I've looked everywhere for a lowering block kit to suit my KE70 Panelvan for a temporary solution until I get my springs reset. Autobahn and Repco told me to hit the road. Cheapa Auto Spares said that they have a kit but it looks like it's for a Hilux (I imagine the early model "Lo-Lux") or something similar. I'm going to measure up my axle tube and stuff tomorrow and check it out, but I was just wondering if someone had already been through this process? Will the guiding pins and U bolts still be alright? Is there a kit not made for KE that still bolts up? Oh, and if you have a kit for KE on the gold coast, let me know. Thanks in advance.

Hey all, I recently bought a brake/strut upgrade for my KE30 (the hilux/peugot/corona one) which has 5 stud hubs bolted onto the peugot discs. I asked the seller about them and he told me two different things. First he said they are mx63 hubs, and he told me they are expensive and rare. Second he told me they are ms65 hubs. The disc has been modified to fit them. Can anyone tell me how to identify them, or can anyone identify them from the pictures below? I'm after 4 x 114.3 stud pattern, so which hubs can I use for this upgrade? I assume Corona, but does anyone know which model? http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w240/re...ar/IMG_1456.jpg http://i177.photobu…

i have a hydraulic clutch system where the pedal feels spongy, doesn't return fully all the time, and even stays depressed when you take your foot off. when the pedal stays depressed the clutch is not disengaged (ie it is connected to the engine). I cannot gain access to the slave cylinder as it is inside the bellhousing and not visible, however the fluid level is good, it doesn't appear to be leaking any fluid, there is no sign of any fluid at the master cylinder, and I have bled the system quite thoroughly. I'm seeking to diagnose whether this is the master or slave cylinder that is the issue - before I remove the gearbox or anything overly enthusiastic. I was w…
