Here is the new and improved ke30. In malaysia so getting others to work on it is cheap! Don't hate me..... It already had a 4age in with all the running gear from an AE86 ('89). Bargain it was! Now all i need is to sort the idle hunting and find the nearest track.. Ready to start: Tinkering and engine issues more rust Spray prep Sprayed! Lovin' the badge Mirrors on... Any comments greatly recieved. thanks Rolla club. Anyone got a glovebox mechanism?

Hi All, I've been a member for a while - initially I signed up to buy a KE35 for my girlfriend, but having it sitting in the driveway and puttering around on weekends inspired me to upgrade. So on Saturday I pick up my first Corolla - a 1974 KE20 that's been in one family since new. It's currently unregistered, but after a bit of a once-over I'm hoping to get it registered on Saturday and drive it home. Immediate plans are: Rego Replace the massive racing seats with original seats (have to source some!) Attach the granny visor Replace lap sash belts with retractables Brakes - maybe AE86 strut/brake combo Down the track I might look at a 4AGE swap, but …

Hi Everyone. Having had a long standing love affair with the old rotary motor, combined with a love of the early sedans of my time, this is my first project that i actually look like having the money to complete from start to finish. Crazy. Started with seeing an add on g-tree for a ke30 sedan that looked kinda neat. Rang the owner and he was super nice, and being about a 3 hour drive from my place, a mate and i decided to make it into an overnight trip as a bit of a getaway as well. Fell in love with it at first sight, and was convinced there and then that this is the car for me. Completely stock as a rock, with a few little patches of rust, but nothing that …

Hi all, Just hopped on cos I've picked up a 25 and wanted to sus the for sale for some bits and thought I'd share my panno (now wagon) with its new paint scheme. The rest is the same as it used to be when it was all white, I've just drawn up a 70s inspired "race" theme paint job, rubbed her down, repaired some dents, and spent a day masking and painting and then cleared over the lot. Then I had the sign writing hand painted on too - hope youse like it. I love it.

Hay guys just picked up my new ke20. I didn't have the heart to cut up my wagon so I bought this. It's still a one owner car. It's pretty clean with 64000kms on the clock. Plans are either 13bt or sr20det. Still working out a few things but the aim of the build is a super clean street car. I am pulling the 3k out this weekend with the auto if anyone would like it come take it for free. I already have a set of coil overs for it, hopper stopper front brakes with ford 5 stud pattern, a Hilux diff and a 13b fitting kit that my good mate fabed up. First thing on the to do list is the trans tunnel, bigger inner wheel guards and I want to cut out and remove the spare wheel tub f…

Hey peps I've been building my ke70 for almost a year now & like most builds has snowballed out of control. It started life as a pretty nice clean little ke70 that I brought to put all my old ae86 parts that I took of Tha car after a truck that was behind me didn't want to stop at a red light ( & no I didn't pull in front & slam my brakes on he just had a fat foot & hit Tha go & stop peddle at Tha same time) & give it some paint & sell it but soon I thought nah il keep it. It all started with a set of FAT 15x10 inch rims then I had to flair Tha he'll outta Tha guards to make them fit then I sold Tha ae86 suspension & got hold of some coil o…

Hi guys, I'm looking for a bit of guidance more than anything from some of you that have been there and done it all in the Corolla scene. I'm new to Oz and old school Japanese motors, we don't get too many back home. I've set my sights on a Corolla from Circa 75-80 but don't know too much about what I should be looking for in terms of the usual mechanical issues and rust spots etc....any help here would be great. I'm also interested to know what models other people prefer, for whatever reason, handling, ease of engine conversion etc etc. At the moment I'm looking at two sedans a 77' KE30 and an 80' KE55 - with any luck I'll be the proud of my own 'roll…

Since changes to my employment situation were forced upon me in December, I have been belting around in my mechanics AE91 Levin. Its been quite a pleasant place to be, but two doors didn't really suit having a 5 month old bub. So when this very clean AE95 wagon popped up on carsales for not much money, complete with rego until August, I thought it might be worth a look. Seeing some of the TCCAV lads's machines also helped the cause, their fondness for them is infectious!! Rocked on down to Frankston on Sunday, took it for a drive, did the deal and brought her home. I am very pleased with how clean it is. Allegedly owned by mechanics previous to the owner I bou…

Hello everyone! So I'm still new here so trying to get used to this forum system. First I wan't to say that sometimes my English can be hard to understand, but hope you'll get hang of it ;) To the car itself. I got two Corollas (Ke10 and Ke11) about half a year ago from my girlfriends dad as he needed more space in to his shed and didn't have time for building these. The ke11 was just rust, but it did have a good 3K and 4-Speed, So i took the engine and gearbox out and rest of the car got crushed. The ke10 was in decent condition: not too much rust, it has all the parts and extra from the ke11. The stock K- engine of it was just bad so i'll be putting the 3K in t…

Well since I've had the Ke25 for over 4 years now, it was about time I started working on it!! I wanted a Ke25 for a while - one of the guys I worked with at Meridian had a rather modified one. He left & went back to boat building. When I rang him up on the off chance he might want to sell it, he told me he had (just) sold it to someone else I knew, as spares for his race car. No point in pursuing it further so I started looking elsewhere. At the time I was building up Harvie's ke15 (http://www.rollaclub...-ke15-build-up/ One day just prior to Xmas (about 4 years ago ironically) I get a phone call from him. Conversation went something like this: Him - "Guess w…

Hey all, Long time no post, but I'm back in a rolla after about 2 years on the dark-side. I recently purchased a KE70 as a slow project for myself and brother / weekend car for myself. Breakdown: 1984 slant front Toyota White recent home spray job ( Pretty good job) 5 speed 300k's sloppy diff Shot carby interior not in the best shape Not drivable in current condition Reasonable price The Plan: Fix it up nice and cleanly. Some nice wheels, Suspension and brakes. RWC then Rego! Not keen on going way over the top like my last rolla. I know next to nothing about the xE7x's as I'm more of a 55 man so ill be asking questions!

Hay guys just got my new 26 wagon. It's a one owner log book car with a genuine 37000kms on the clock. It's completely standard with near perfect paint and interior. The only two things the old fella changed were the hub caps and steering wheel (wich are genuine Celica) I will be parting with these if anyone is interested. Plans for the wagon are to leave the paint and interior as is. I was going to do a rotary but we already have one of these going around so I will be building a fj20 with a manual for it. Keep you all posted with pics threw out. I hope you enjoy.

Hey guys and girls I'm new to the Rollaclub forum and also to the Corolla scene, although very much a Toyota fan boy. I've spent most of my free time modifying my 4WDs the last couple of years but I decided it was time for a new project, a Khanacross Corolla. The goal is to just have something to work on and have some fun at the local rally club, plus it seems like Khanacross is a good entry point to get into motorsport. I was pretty set on finding an AE92 and building a 4AGE engine but as it happens I ended up coming across an AE101 for $300. It's got a bit of faded paint, a dent in the rear bumper and no rego but it still runs fine and is a surprisingly neat car fo…

Hey Rollaclub! Here's another project I have bitten off. While looking for a coupe I came across this buff coloured sedan on eBay. Of course the nature of eBay is that sometimes you bid and end up owning things you didn't intend to. I really wanted a coupe! This is a relatively low mileage sadan (167,000km) that IMO just needed some loving. The previous owner fitted a new clutch and rear main seal, then got bored of it before he put it back together. As such, some assembly was required before I even knew it would run. But run it does, very nicely thankyou. Here's when I got it; I started tinkering. It really just needs a 30 year service! So I pu…

Hey Rollaclub, I've been posting here for a while now - lurking even longer - and figured it was about time I shared some details of my current projects, being a silver KE55 XX coupe and a buff KE55 sedan. First the coupe... I first owned a yellow KE35 when I was 16 in 1989. It's my profile pic. After a couple of years I had thoroughly trashed it, so traded "up" to a VK Commodore, then an XF Falcon, then a ZA Fairlane before picking up another bright brown KE35 around 1997 for $800. I drove that 35 around for 6 years before blowing a head gasket. At which point I bombed it up with a 5K, extractors, paint & interior and polished XX alloys, the…

so this is my newly aquired ke70 four speed manual 4k-c engined shitbox. i say rolling relic because besides the rust repairs it needs which involves the two spaces above the taillights and a small patch in the roof. when thats fixed and ground down and undercoated. the paint will be left the same, the spotlights will remain. the interior is staying as it is. it will eventually have a worked 4k and hopefully go sideways on demand but i don't want to roll the guards or anything i just want to keep the old school patina and slam it on some black widened stockies. oh and theres abit of rust in the fuel filler cap but an easy fix. the wheel arches seem to b…
