Just had a crazy idea of fitting a quad carburetor setup from a road bike onto a 4k, something like the ones the honda 750's used. So basically an individual small capacity carby for each cylinder. Yes some custom fabrication will be required to fit them (I can do this at work :) ) and a new intake manifold. Probably also an electronic fuel pump for increased flow. But maybe not. but maybe. By looking at the intake on the original carby it looks too small to supply the engine with enough air to breathe, thus my inseration to modify. On the exhaust side of things what is the most beneficial system to use? My current setup is a 4-2-1 system but only like a 1.5" system. …

Hey all! ok so here's the deal... so when we normally hear about twin carbs on a k motor we think twin side draught 40 DCOE webers right? now ive already got a 32/36 weber on my 5k runs good i only bought it for $250 I'm prety sure i can find another 32/36 for a similar price. if i do something like theese guys but on my 5k twin 32/36 down draught do you rekon its possible to get the same performance or even better than a twin side draught 40 DCOE? reason i brought this topic up is because twin DCOE plus the manifold are so pricey.. plus i love to muck around with things and make them work haha! :) thanks in advance guys. ;)

Hi everyone, I've got a bit of a problem at the moment, my car was crashed into on saturday morning in the main street on the way to work. I was not at fault, the car behind me ran into my car while I was stopped as the car in front of me was waiting to turn into a petrol station across the road. As a result my car is pretty much a write off, as the repairs for the car way exceed it's value. But here is the problem, The person who crashed into me does not have third party property insurance and my car is not comprehensively insured, although she has agreed to pay for repairs and/or pay for the car, but as repairing it isn't really viable she just wishes to pay me ~$1500 …

Was thinking the 3puck copper clutch from exedy through t3 for 350 and it comes with aligning tool etc etc. Just swinging the spanner of options haha. Cheers! Jesse.

The thing i'm not sure is, Is there a way to work out what carby's will be suitable which aren't? I was talking to Jordain on facebook about it earlier and just got lost, he mentioned about going off throat sizes.. He also said he had cbr600 carbs on his 4k, Guessing this would lean out on a 5k? It's going to be pretty mild, heads done to 10.1:1 compression, mild porting, will cop valves and valve springs as well and be run on 98.. Any idea's on how to work it out, or what would be suitabl…

G'day all, sorry for the crappy editing, the return key aint working in this post :( Anyway, I need some advice from any experts in structural adhesives. I am sick of replacing broken spokes in the front wheels of my racing trike and after shooting the breeze with a couple of guys over a few beers, it was suggested that I get a couple of aluminium cones made up and weld them to the hub and rim. Thinking of welding onto a alloy bike rim scares me - buckling/holes/etc - so I was thinking of bonding the cones to the rims. So I guess my question is, what would be a suitable adhesive for bonding alloy…

I have just entered the world of Corolla ownership with a KE30 coupe. This will be the first of many questions that I will probably ask as I commence the task of getting the little lady running before starting on giving her a extreme makeover. Question 1 The guy I bought it off told me it was running a 4K head on the 3K motor. Is there any way to confirm that the head I have on the motor is a 4K head and if it is should I switch it back to a 3K head or buy a 4K block i.e which is cheaper?

anybody here put a race seat in a ke20 or 25 (or any corolla for that matter) that they were happy with? what was it? not too fussed about fixed or reclining, just comfy and supporting i scored a cobra clubman for free a while back, and made some adaptors up out of 8mm steel strap, but it sits too high so my legs hit the steering wheel if i lift off the pedal, and my knee hits the gearknob in 5th. i even drilled all the holes so they line up first go too, rare for me :D

Seem's to have more power now, although i have to fix the overheating problems! (will start with a new thermostat and go from there)

hey guys, i've come across a 92-93 holden nova sedan for a good price which i am going to pick up later this week. it has a few issues (as it should for the price), which will need to be fixed for RWC. the first thing is the drivers door, which has been rooted after a ute backed into it. i am assuming that the doors should be the same from ae90/92 4door corollas... will they fit? also the 4afe in it is supposedly seized or something. no idea really until i get it home and start fiddling. even if it needs a new engine, i imagine i can pick up a 4afe for not to much $$. the car will never be intended as a ground shaker or anything, just something reliable, comfy an…

Because of this i need to make up some new ones, i was wondering if anyone knew of a good way to do this besides that silicone gasket stuff which can get quite messy and look horrible if you don't do it propperly. I might also need to do this to the hatch hinges. Thanks in advance, Tom

So, my idea is simply keep the general layout of a cylinder motor - (vertical) but place 2 electronic magnet's @ the top, and 2 at the bottom of the cylinder(see pic) So, basically i was thinking u connect them upto a dizzy type design which can Make the top magnets '+' Positive, and the bottom Negative '-', (piston = positive) - (Dizzy spins and changes positive and negative charge in magnets) So, you have the top magnet positive charged, and bottom magnet negatively charged (and piston is just positive) - its …
