hey, whats happenin folks ^_^. well, most of my write-ups with my project is on my other site. I'm just posting my old progress and sharing with you guys here. My TA22 was purchased in japan around august of 2006 and it arrived here in the U.S. december of 2006. i don't know weather i am the 2nd or 3rd owner of this ta22. the first owner was a old japanese guy and handed it over to his son, and his son sold it to me. My wife and I picked her up in Seattle, Wa and drove her home to San Francisco, Ca. The name Naomi for my TA22 was created by the majority of votes from the celica folks in classic-celica community. My Naomi is a TA22 S49 model type, so she has a rar…

Since I've been a member here for few weeks now without a corolla, I have finally decided to buy one, so I'm a corolla guy once more. I just recently bought a 1976 SR5 TE37 ^_^ for $1000USD for me to have as a dialy commuter because I want to be driving with style hahaha. The smog pollution exemption here in california is only up to 1975 only, this really sucks but I think I can live with having a smog check every year. As of right now, the car runs with its stock 2TC motor and a 5 speed manual transmission. The main body is white color and clean with the exception of bad hood and a right fender. Interior needs work, so I might start buying parts from here soon. D…

Hi, I'm James and this is my 82 Ke70 I bought the car about 2 years ago for the handsome some of $300, minus engine and gerabox. Since then i have spent countless hours and dollars on it. The engine is a Aw11 bigport 4agze with a 98 Wrx turbo, Adaptronic computer, 7mgte injectors, w55 gearbox with Niteparts bellhouse, custom 1 piece tailshaft and Yr22 Tarago diff with locked centre. It has s4 Rx7 four pots on the front with T3 coilovers, AGX shocks, PS arms, adjustable control arms and rose jointed castor rods on the front. Well as of today there are four cars in my stable. I found this car a few streets away from my house. It was on the day my sister was moving house and I thought it would be handy if i had a wagon to transport her crap. Well its been sitting there for months so I thought I'd make an offer. Turns out they've been wanting to sell for ages but have never found the time. The paint is looking pretty sad as its been egged and painted several times. The bay. This car has given me many surprises. When I popped the bonnet i discovered that it housed a 4K. I also discovered that the build date is 76 instead of 77/78. So somewhere down the line someone has placed a l…

Here we go again. I've bought another car. :lolcry: I really don't know where to stop do I. I know a lot of you have been wondering who bought that KE25 that was at the Ipswich wreckers up here in Queensland. Well I'm happy to say it was me and I'm making it official. I kinda don't know what I'm doing venturing into uncharted territory as I'm use to dealing with the KE3X/5X's. Thankfully she is pretty much complete other than a couple of bad spots. So... I've taken a few brief shots of the car showing what she looks like in her present state. I'll take more on Friday after I have her cleaned up and polished like I have done with all my cars. Tho dusty, the bod…

Hi there all! long time reader first time poster, A few years ago I bought a TA22 with great intentions of putting a 4AGE in and restoring her to her former glory, long story short got bent over and absolutly ripped in the process, 4 years later the motor is half done and the body is wrecked.(so thats the sob story over :D) Yesterday I picked up this baby, http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/58322-black-ta22-1974-celica-3t-gte-motor-intercooled-blue-plated/page__p__585900__fromsearch__1#entry585900 (don't know how to make it a clicky?) Drove home just beautiful, I think the gear ratio's must be out somewhere as it was about 3000RPM crusing on 100kh, drove it f…

My ride is a 1984 Toyota Corolla KE70 Wagon which i picked up from canberra for $1500 back in august! Hi all, Recently bought a KE55 Coupe, out of rego in Sydney. I'm 16, Getting my L's soon, and this car will be off the road till i get my p's next year. Just wanted to let you know what i have done so far and plans for the future. So far it has been fixing rust dents etc. . . Passenger door had rotted away in the corner so we picked up another door, and a guard to replace rusting one. Dash pad was screwed so we also bought one off a bloke that was in overrated condition. Hi guys, Picked up this KE35 the other day. I'm new to Corolla's so learning as I go. I don't really have a clear direction for it yet, just hoping to improve it gradually over time. It's reasonably straight with the exception of some minor dings and scratches accumulated over the past 42 years and seems to be free of any serious rust. It's had a closed door respray at some point too, the original colour is similar but more of slightly darker grey. Running a standard 3k but has had a 5 speed conversion - not sure which type yet. first task will be a decent service I think, radiator is putrid and oil's not much better. Cheers, John.

Hey everyone :y: I bought my second corolla, a white 1988 Ae82 Sedan. As most of you know I have a Brown Ae82 seca that was going to get rebuild but after pulling the whole thing apart and trying to paint it, I ran into some bad luck with the weather and Non self motivation. After moving house, I left it to rust up in the hills. I recently brought it down to where I live but after looking at it for about 2 months I have decided that I can't remember how to put it back together  I have a heap of spare parts and some goodies to put in the new corolla like AE94 brakes, 4age conversion, twincam shockers, rear disk brakes, 7" screen, mags, extractors, 2" exhau…

About time I posted up my project daily dx. Picked up back in 2002 with no rego no warent and in need of a good spruce up. It had already been started of with a Calipso Blue paint job. Well 1st of all we needed to fix the wiring which was a mess and sort out brakes with some pads. After having the car road worthy with a fresh warrent and rego i decided to sort out the height and installed some dobi lowering springs and new shocks all round. But there was something lacking.... grunt, power, balls. After stuffing round with twin carbs to no sucsess and wasted money decided to go for the popular 4age conversion. 6 months later i had sussed out all the mai…

At long last I finally have myself a new toy to play with. 1984 AE71 factory manual wagon 104 xxx on the clock fairly clean Mods are: AE86 front struts with JDM brakes XYZ coilover kit front lip (mk 1 golf) granny visor (genuine) fender mirrors (genuine) flared guards Gemini front bar 16 x 8 steelies Currently really don't enjoy driving it. The rear leaf spring are soo stiff it feels like the tailgate is going to fall off The valve stem seals are leaking so bad it acts like a squid on defense after every traffic light stop. Really don't like the overly done guard flaring job. So when I get the time to fix these is…

I picked this up last weekend, it's a 1989 Crown Royal Saloon G, so far I'm extremely happy with it, it's a great car, extremely comfy and the 1UZ is a great motor. Going to chuck a more trick air controller in with more features so I can slam it hard for posing, then maybe fix the indash TV so it's able to tune into aussie frequencies.

Well, went out and bought another rocket today. We've sealed the deal, and picking it up from Ballarat on Tuesday. :) It's a 1986 MX73 Cressida with a 5M-GE (with Extractors :D ) and 4-speed Auto. Green in colour, has full electrics (including Sunroof), Velour interior, P/S, A/C, Power Windows and Mirrors, the works. This will be a little project to make it a daily for when I get my P's. The previous owner had a RWC check done in June 2011, and came back with a list of Defects that need fixing/replacing, which was included in the sale. He had it sitting under his carport and hadn't started it in a few months, so we took a battery, and it fired 1st shot. An…

Hey all well after being a member of this site for a number of years (4 i think) I have now come across another corolla KE70 to be exact. the deal was one of my brothers bought it to rally cross but decided it was to good to bash around a paddock so i bought it for $400. It is currently bog stock with a little over 200 000k (i think) and running the 4K and 5 speed With a overrated interior only 1 crack in the dash and needs new back seat and a good vacuum and detail. The body needs minor attention after the previos owners before myself and my brother tried to fix rust by cutting it out and filling with newspaper, cardboard and bog :) otherwise the body is straight and onl…
