hey all, just joined the forum, thanks to macca for pointing them out to me, ive been reading around a bit and I'm glad to say that this forum is possibly the first ive seen that doesnt have any wankers on here. I look forward to hearing from you guys. Anyway, heres my seca, its a fair bit stocko, besides a 2 1/4 inch exhaust with a resonator and 1 muffler. so yeah it drones a lot :P . It has 16" toyota sportivo rims on it, fully sick ' high performance ' pod filter on it :) but soon it will be replaced with a stock airbox, i bought the car with the cams its got in it and i have no idea what duration they are, but they have no low down power and heaps of high, i don'…

Gday guys, introducing myself: My missus and I have had this KE20 for about 5 years now. Been back on the road almost a year after getting a minor rebuild. Stock gypsum green resprayed 4K not too exciting - maybe a transplant one day! 5 speed remote central locking CD etc hidden MR2 seats, back retrimmed A few KE25 bits inside (lower parcel tray, f&r armrests, etc) either stock 12" whitewalls or 14" alloys 4 x 110pcd just about finished Air Conditioning Daily driver

OK so on the whole we are anti-rice, but I have a penchant for all things blue. This is acutely obvious if you look at my custom guage thread but I have taken it a step or two further. Take one shitty oil stained rocker cover : Soak in degreaser (50/50 mix of Supercheap degreaser/Kerosine) Rub with Wet'n'Dry to remove scuffs and hammer marks (it was hard to crack the seal) Spend $35 at Supercheap on pretty tins of shiny stuff Spray the blue on the cover Look in disgust cause it doesnt look right Read the cans Use the basecoat like you should have in the first place Respray the blue Seek assistance of Bajic brother to refit the cover (I told…

Car are an expensive hobby and once you have spent lots of $$ getting your hobby up to a useable standard you normally have to spend more $$ to keep it workable/running My other choice for spending $$ on is my arcade cabinet. I am slowly (very very slowly) gathering together all the bits for my arcade cabinet. yesterday i acquired a ke25, it is a 73 deluxe auto. it came as a rolling shell with no motor or box. the shell is pretty much rust free, with the only rust i've found being in the bottoms of the front guards and a bit on one side under the radiator support panel. the bottom of the doors and rear guards are excellent rustwise. needs a bit of panelbeating and a paintjob. the interior is pretty good. needs a hood liner, dashtop, and carpet. otherwise it is pretty overrated. anyway here's some pics:

It started out as the corolla that "Little" Grandma took to lawnbowls then it was bought by my Dad around 14 years ago and was transformed into a Datsun-1600-flogging-Rally-machine. I'm a relatively new poster here (long time reader) and thought I might chuck up some pics of my DD and Project KE25. Stock KE55 beater, complete with dodgy manual conversion, 50% compression on #1 Cylinder and noisy tappets! Project KE25, currently being stripped for small rust repairs/acid dip/respray and a FULL rebuild/restoration of every single mechanical/electronic/interior component. That's it! Ok, i've had the car for eight months now and i've spent well over five grand ($5,000.00+) on getting the car on the road. My project car is a JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) 1987 Toyota Corolla II GP Turbo (Grey Import) I bought the car in bad shape for a decent price, so I spent thousands refreshing the car and bringing it back to its original standard. Once Finished I decided on a 4EFTE transplant from an early Starlet GT Turbo. this is my 1970 ke11 bought it about 12 months ago, when i first bought it, it was stock and had the 12" stellies and was one owner with its origional 3k motor and weak 4 speed i left it standard for about 4 months and drove it around but got sick of how slow and stock it was so first i put 13x6 mags on it heres a pic then i decided a 4kc motor and 5 speed gear box would make it go better so we fitted one and now it goes way better and i realised that the drums were a little under sized so i fitted ke38 discs on the front pics of motor it then had a respray in the origional whate and all dents were removed and in the process no rust was found at all combining…

Hey guys, I own a 1975 KE30 Corolla sedan. Its basically standard apart from wheels. Has some nasty rust in a few places aswell as a few dings around the place but its not too much trouble to fix considering I am a panel beater. I will be doing a conversion to a 2002 BEAMS 3SGE Blacktop with 2004 model 6 speed box(and a few other goodies). I am just waiting for the engine to be checked out by someone because I can't inspect for myself before I buy. Hoping in will be here in the next 3-4 weeks, if not sooner. i have this 92 holden nova i got a while ago. the plan is to rego it for daily duties before i get to involved with the ke25. it is pretty neat, no rust, faded paint. i have replaced the drivers door, and a front corner light. need to match up the paint on the new door. maybe a respray in the original colour later. the interior is good, although dirty, think it should come up good with a steam clean. it is an auto 4afe. the bottom end of the engine is seized so i have to either rebuild or replace it. just going to leave it 4afe and auto. i only want it to be a cheap, reliable, economical driver. no conversions. now i have a problem. my shed hasn't got any dec…

Hey all. Finally got my camera back from my old ladys so i could take some pics of my car. Its all stocko apart from the 2" exaughst, the cheepo steering wheel which all came with the car and the 2kg of bog in the rear gaurds. I have a funny feeling either an old retierd couple owned this car for 90% of its life or its been well serviced as it runs like a dream. Hi all, I just recently purchased an unregistered 1981 Corolla KE55 Sedan for $300 with only 264,000 k's. In pretty good condition, paint needs a bit of work but it's definately a work in progress. At the moment it is running just the standard 4K-C engine and 4sp gearbox. Hoping to maybe upgrade to a 2TG engine and upgrade to a 5sp T50 gearbox. picked up another '74 ford courier (mazda b1600) gonna start from scratch on this one my original '77 2.3 was running fine, but getting really bad gas milage (15mpg), and used a qt. of oil per 600-700 miles i found out why.....;

geoff scored me a good ke30 last week, id been toying with the idea of 4x4 or club car but decided to stop mucking about and just build a clean show car instead, ive a fair idea what i'll be doing but was hoping for a little input as to what motoring mags and show judges are looking for i plan to build what i want but i hope to end up with something that puts me at a photo shoot with one of those beeuutifull girls you see draped over cars haha (and I'm not a sterio person so unless someone out there is bored and rich thats not getting done)

Well, I'm at it again. With the introduction of the Evo 2 Corolla, sadly the original car just doesn't cut it anymore. :( Don't get me wrong, it goes competently enough for what it is, but I have stumbled upon an opportunity to have the car I've always wanted.
