Hey everyone been lurkin on the forums for a while now and decided to start a build thread for my ke55. The plans are pretty simple; Sand it back and fix all the rust and total open door respray (not certain on what colour yet, any ideas?) Worked 4k/5k. Specs will be, Knife edge crank, bored 60thou, 12.8 to 1 compresion ratio, custom grind cam, smallport head, (they make more power) 350 holley, custom made extractors with 2'' straight through with a spintek muffler and a lightened fly wheel. This past week I purchased a cheap daily driver that would cost as little as possible to put on the road. Little did I know that I would end up deciding to keep this car long term. In my search for information to fix a few issues with the car I found this forum and discovered what potential I had purchased. I have an 1982 AE70 Corolla with a 3TC motor and a T50 transmission. It is a 2 door sedan, I believe that is different from the coupe but am unsure, with a bit of superficial body damage to the right side and no rust to speak of. as far as I can tell all parts are stock. I thought i was over Corolla's for a while.. Apparently not! Basically bought it to quickly tidy it up and make a half practical daily.. My lowdown Celica and Crown are far from ideal.. So here it is! My Ke38 Body is a bit rough, Fair few rust patches and a few dents will need the porta power but pretty happy with it. Plan is to weld in Celica rear guards as the rear arches are fubar, Weld up the rust, Drop in a motor and rego it I'll do some more to it than that but those are the initial plans. hey guys thought id start a post about my new ride, She's an AE92 4AFC sedan, I brought her for $500 delived. So far i have done body work on all the Rust, Inc replacing brake lines, 2 brand new yokahama tyres on the front with a good pare of 2nd handies on the back, The Radiator shit its self the 1st day of driving her so i've replaced that with a brand new one

So!.... I've had this for a while. A mate of mine said he saw an old corolla his buddy posted and thought I might be interested. Called him and turned out to be a 67' ke10! ????. Long story short, picked it up for a steal and took it to the missus brothers place to store it. I had originally bought the car to use as a doner for my blue 70' ke11 but turns out its a very very straight shell with the normal rust in the spare wheel well and a few tiny spots up front in the sils in front of the door, besides that, I'm stoked! Well I saw a deal that I couldn't pass. My wife spotted a 1974 corolla on Craigslist and the posting was recent. Due to how hard these are to find, I jumped on it and called the guy. It was in a tow yard, and had been sitting there for 8-10 years. It was stored indoors for most the time. I told the guy I wanted it and would see him in driving time (3 1/2 hours). Since powercruise last month i have been working on my other corolla, decided to get it going and have it as my work car for awhile. Ive had this car probably 8 years, it was a flawless body when i got it, not long after i gave it a bare metal 2 pack respray, then drove it to work for a few years. getting my licencee back in around 3 months so ive started building a daily its a 1983 ae71 auto and i oicked it up for $100, it had been sitting in a paddock for nearly 5 years.. so far plans are to respray it white, have purchased coil overs and rear springs/shocks.. will be receiving a built 4ac with weber and 5 speed box.. thats about it for the time being

G'Day Rollas, This is my introduction and entry for my KE70 code name 'Swift'. This baby is my first car and I absolutely love her! The car has been in our family for 30 years, most of which it's been in a garage for 20 of them and is still in pretty much perfect condition. I have done some work on the car since I have received it. I'm not very good with cars but I think this car is the perfect to start to learning on. Well, this is my ke70. It had already been converted to 2 door before I purchased it. I bought it as a rolling shell and was going to put a 4age in it and as a short term project to get her on the track quickly, but things have changed and it has turned into a much bigger project.

I don't know how they can use it on the road! California must be a hot-rodders dream country... Love the exhaust idea!

Hi all. Picked up this KE70 from a mate recently to get onto the track with. I was 3/4 of the way through prepping a VT commodore for circuit duties but the costs were starting to get hefty. I planned on converting all the suspension arms on that to rose joint and costs were just blowing out, even with DIY every thing. Only so many hours in the day too Over a few drinks at said mates work shop n spied this in the corner neglected as he had just bought a fully prepped KE70 LS1 powered drift car.

Made my first ever purchase of an oldschool rwd Toyota about a year ago with the intentions of restoring her and possibly making some money on it. New thread. Car looks like this now. So I put an AE93 speedo into my KE70 cluster for the speed sensor mainly to get rid of the CEL. Turns out when I drilled into it to mount it I drilled through the speed sensor connection. D'oh. Fixed, improved and re-installed. The clock has been replaced with a voltmeter and the charge light is no my CEL. I removed the trip meter mechanism to fit the speedo but I think I could make it fit. If I can find another cheap 93 cluster Ill do it at a later stage along with a new perspex screen. Next plan is to install the 9000rpm tacho.
