So help me out here guys, I am torn between what to do with my KE11. This is the look I am trying to achieve: This is how the rims I got sit so there is plenty of stretching or welding on extra metal to do: So vote and help me out. There will be no over fenders as they will not suit the shape of this car :jamie:

Hi, This is my first post. I've got a 1980 ke38 wagon that I'm slowly modifying to make it a more enjoyable ride. I'm not trying to build a tire shredder, just something that handles reasonably well and is comfortable to drive everyday. Am keen on doing a swap to a 7k as well. Having a bit of trouble sourcing one though (if everyone has got one, with the 5spd manual transmission, let me know!) I'm looking for a new set of wheels to put on it and have come across a pair of SSR MK1s that I think should look pretty good on it. I'm just wondering if there's any issues with the offset on a wheel like this with the old ke models. I know it will have a lot to do …

Just a general question, not really needing to know how its done. As some of you may know I traded Lolla in for a younger car. Now I had to return the car to the dealer the next day to have something repaired, then again the following day to have the CV joints replaced. (Tho the car was apparently "roadworthy") Now that was 7 days ago and I'm getting a bit annoyed. Can someone please tell me how long it takes to order and change over a set of CV joints?? The car has been in their possession longer than in mine while I have owned it. I'm just about ready to tell them to give me an upgrade to another car. thanks, Jon.

hey all i was sold this gear box saying it was a k-50, however after having a few mates look at it, no one can really tell me what it is! it looks like a T-50 with a bell houseing K-T the gear box bolts up fine to th K-5 engine, and the drivetrain from the auto that was in the car also fits the output shaft of the so called k-50. could someone please confirm what this box is, and if it is a t-50 or k-50 what do they come out of, since i have to chase down a shifter and box mount any help would be much appreciated thanks heaps Steve

For those of you like me who used Imageshack or Photobucket with links onto here, I've just discovered Imageshack shut off the free accounts this year. Rats... I didn't know before the end of Feb, which was the cutoff for d'loading your photos. So I'll replace what I can in my topics from images on my computer, but some I don't have anymore. Trawling though the web for the 4AGE build showed an amazing number of broken links to photos, which will degrade the usefulness of the web over time. For a while we had all this knowledge at our fingertips..

Dear All, i did have a whole essay written, but i decided.. screw that, i wont waste any more time that i need to, for your sakes and mine. A Quick note to say that i am slowly (started 6 months ago?), quietly getting annoyed with how things are going around here. Every day, theres a new person bitching about something. A new person asking stupid things, resulting in more bitching. And every day, People in power are trying even harder, and spending more of there valuable time trying to restore order. Some of you people need to clean your acts up, and ffs.. STOP abusing admin, I'm sick of reading the trash that some of you people are turning out each day, th…

Hi guys, I'm new here so forgive any forum etiquette that I may be missing. Just thought I would share a few pics of my Ke30 that I just got this week. Ive been wanting one of these since I was a little kid. This is also my first car, so I'm a bit of a noob in this department. Its a 1978 CS model. On the clock it says its only done 57 000k's and the owner told me he bought it off a 70 yo couple. But judging by the engine bay and seats I believe it to have done 157k. My future plans are to keep the car as original as possible but do am engine conversion maybe a 13B. The original owner had the sun visor and the fender mirrors, which I have now removed due to pe…

just driving in mount isa and saw an old corolla sitting in an old wreckers yard..as i walked through i found this place to be a treasure trove of old corollas..there are about 20 or 30 different models ranging from ke20's to 70's. most of the old cars are complete with all running gear, motors are all in working order, and mags and rims coming out of the wood work everywhere. panels, clips, cables and most parts are all there on most models..if interested contact me and ill put you in [email protected] chrissso

Hi guys. I was searching the web for aftermarket corolla parts and i came across a website called www.slickcar.com. It seems to be an Amercian website, but even after converting to Aussie dollars, the prices are still ridiculously cheap. For example..... Set of 4 fully adjustable coilovers - $178 (us) Extractors - $143 (us) Cat-back stainless exhaust systems - $190 (us) The list goes on and on. If you have yet to visit this site, check it out, and if you have, can you please enlighten me as to why everything is so cheap and if there are any people in Australia that import and sell these items. I doubt they are excellent quality but if you want to modify your…

Unfortunately, after a good night out, I got home to see my baby on the other side of the road with the door open and lights on. Door lock is f@$ked, ignition is f@$ked, has dirt all down one side of it and a few dimples in the bonnet where there were none before... CD player, plates and CDs still there. They were obviously looking for money or something cause the glovebox had been gone through, the sun visors were down and the ashtray was open. As far as I can tell, the only thing gone is a pack of smokes, but I don't know for sure because we're waiting for them to dust the car as there are some very obvious hand marks from pushing the car. I'm assuming they go…

http://homepage2.nifty.com/yunk/page6.htm http://www.s2000.com/papercraft.php japanese people must really go nuts for paper models of cars, even the manufacturers get in on it http://www.mitsubishi-motors.co.jp/japan/l...papercraft.html http://www.nissan.co.jp/EVENT/PAPERCRAFT/index.html and you can use babelfish to translate this huge list of car papercraft sites, some of which work http://www2.nkansai.ne.jp/shop/first/pcraft/pc2.html

Well I got chatting to a towie that collects the old cars for scrap metal. He reckons that at the moment he has two corollas in his front yard, one ae82 shitbox and an "import RWD corolla with a 3a-u engine in it". I've tried googling it and the only corolla I can find, through foriegn Toyota engine lists, is the 'AE60' model corolla. Except for the fact that I can't find any AE60s that exist on google, or rollaclub. I presume that it must be an AE50 or KE50, and it was simply a typo on the engine list. Can anyone help me with this? Cheers, Dan.

Hi All I have searched to try and find this, so please bear that in mind. I am considering the different engine conversion options at the moment and I wanted to know if any had a picture of the tunnel clearance of an SR20 gearbox in an auto tunnel of a KE30/KE55? I have a CA18DET datsun ute, but specifically bought a KE30 2 door to do a 2L turbo conversion. In the ute, the gearbox just clears the tunnel. I have seen many pics of tunnels and SR20 conversions, some look really close to touching the tunnel, but none tell what the car started as. Any help appreciate. Michael

ok, here is the story, i was going for my final assessment drive for my learners, i was going down a quiet-ish street sitting at a comfortable 48km/h in a 50km/h zone, and this commonwhore started to speed up behind me and was tailgating me, -unintimidated by the driver behind i continued down the road then adjusted my speed to 25 as i was approaching a school zone, the driver turned off. Towards the end of the lesson , i was thinking i did good when he asked me how i though i went, but he explained that i broke the law by holding up traffic, "i was going too slow". Infuriated i rebuted his opinion but he stood strong telling me that i should have sped up to eliminate th…

Hi there. I purchased a set of Coilovers for my 1979 Corona (rt134) from T3. I got these in the mail. what car are they from? i already waited quite a while for them and would rather use them instead of waiting a few more weeks. The ones in question are on the right. My stock ones are on the left... any ideas? Thanks.
