  1. Hi! I am Jam Samonte.. Thanks to the Rolla Moderators for accepting my membership and I'm proud to be ONE of the newest member of the ROLLA CLUB.. I am from the PHILIPPINES and I have this 1976 COROLLA 2dr U.S. Version which I have just restored after a year and 4 months! I bought the 1976 TE31 (U.S. Version of the KE3O at Clark Air Base, Angeles City the former U.S. Military Base) from a 64 year old man who lives in the City. The car was near to obselecence when I bought it (general body repair and re-painting needed was needed plus major items like the bumpers/ grilles were gone) but did'nt lose hope.. (Patience and a lot of work was all I need). Good thi…

Hey all. Gribble here from Sydney. Just thought id share some info on my little Rally Project I'm currently building. Its going to be a fairly straight forward KE70, 4k, 5 speed, totally stripped interior, bilstein shocks, adm ae86 brakes, cage, seats, harnesses etc etc. Nice and simple for a starter. So far ive gotten the shell totally stripped down, I have removed the sound deadening from the interior and 90% of the crap tar stuff from underneath. Ive begun to stitch the chassis seams together to gain some torsional rigidity. Next step is to do the seat mountings and the cage. PICS! Ok ive finally uploaded some pics of the build. Here goes..... This …

Hi everyone! So i have finally got myself another corolla and this one is in just as much need of work as what my ke20 was! most of the work on this one is going to be rust repair... i spent the last 2 days cleaning up all the stuff i didnt like about it and am quite happy with the results so far. changed the seats back to stock ones that will eventually be re-upholstered. I also replaced the after market steering wheel with a stock one. removed about 20 metres of unnecessary wiring out of the car, remnants of an alarm system and a stereo system and some other stuff! had to clean up the extra gauges as well and the steering column surround had a bunch of holes d…

Hi Guys, I've had this posted on 3TC however, I may be more at home here. I'll start moving my posts over slowly. In March of 2014 I finally found a candidate to build. I was actually hoping for a TE27 but was very happy when I found this straight and complete clean title TE21 in Sacramento. Drove the hour and fifteen to meet my cousin and we headed to meet the seller at STS (Santo Toy Shop) in Sac. After looking over the car and a few test drives, we agreed on the price and completed the deal. Got it home safely after a careful hour and a half drive home in the rain. The cut front springs and the steering box made for quite the intense trip home lol …

Full logbook service history from day one. The wife of the couple I got it from had it from 17 as her 1st car and had it for the last 11 years, from what I can see she was the 2nd owner. Pic of when I went and looked at the car (shitty phone pic): Pic of when I got it to my dads, excuse the pics, Mrs obviously doesn't know what take a pic of the car means: Here is a pic of it after I stuck the twincam s…

  10. I felt bad that I joined up just to look for a car for my Girlfriend, so I thought I'd start a thread on the car that made my Girl love Toyota's. She's an RA40 with an 18RC, I bought her probably 20 months ago now. I new nothing about cars, I saw them as an object to get from A to B... It's amazing how much I have changed my perspective on cars in those 20 months. I've rebuilt the engine and done a few modifications to my car that make people wonder. Well, here she is when I first bought her. Here's what she looked like after a month of having her. I used tyre shine on the rubber bumpers every weekend, and I polished her once a month =P and …

Its a tough choice cause i'm loving the lazy man's car. Upgrading the front end with T-18 struts and either twin the sway bar or a thicker one Stiffen the arse end. Either re-build the 4k i have sitting in the garage or swap in the 2t-g (just need a 'box for it) Or some where down the track swap in a 1.3lt from a different pedigree of manufacture. …

She has done some 140,000 k’s before the head decided it was enough and blew it’s stack. I have since decided to replace the engine with a 20 Valve 4AGE. It will also be converted to manual at the same time. All parts have been acquired, all that is required now is some more motivation and maybe some spare time on the weekends. Anyway, pics. I will post more pics as this thing progresses. I would say it is about another month or so away from the road, purely due to funds shortage. To those of you who are wondering ab…

Some of you may remember me, I spent a lot of time here when i was in my mid-teens. It's been a couple of years since I've had a Corolla, but since then I've branched out into bigger and better things. In particular an RT72 Corona, which is being handed down to me by my dad's uncle. So I've spent the last 12 months or so researching the car, trying to find parts. Which has turned out to be quite a difficult task, considering finding information alone is hard enough. Luckily for me, I was lucky enough one day to come across a complete car that had been sitting in a paddock for 20 years. Here are some teaser pics of the paddock car as I actually haven't got any pictures of …
