Seeing as this forum seems to have the highest concentration of KE10s on the internet, I figure I should throw mine in for good measure! The story starts when I drag this KE10 from the bushes in my hometown, paying about $200 to get it to my house. My initial observations: The car has been hit in the front and back with a lot of flaking bondo as evidence. The entire interior is halfway converted to dirt. Not a single mechanical or electrical component is working or even looks serviceable. At long last I finally have myself a new toy to play with. 1984 AE71 factory manual wagon 104 xxx on the clock fairly clean Mods are: AE86 front struts with JDM brakes XYZ coilover kit front lip (mk 1 golf) granny visor (genuine) fender mirrors (genuine) flared guards Gemini front bar 16 x 8 steelies Currently really don't enjoy driving it. Hey, I've started accumulating the bits and pieces for my turbo 5K. The plan is to use my 5K block, bore it out 0.5 - 1.5mm. Use some 78 internal, 81 - 82 exteranl, cast steel sleeves in the bores. I scored 4 rb20det pistons with 80k on em for 20 bucks! So that should work nice with some brass inserts to connects the rods. The pistons are 3.2 mm shorter than a 5K unit so I'm gonna deck the block 1mm and shave the head 1mm too, and use a 1mm copper head gasket with a double O-ring. I'll reconfigure the head a bit too. It should be about 1.4 L and 7.5 - 7.8 : 1 compression ratio after that. I plan not to rev it too hard so I'm gonna stick with standard 5K rods…

OK so on the whole we are anti-rice, but I have a penchant for all things blue. This is acutely obvious if you look at my custom guage thread but I have taken it a step or two further. Take one shitty oil stained rocker cover : Soak in degreaser (50/50 mix of Supercheap degreaser/Kerosine) Rub with Wet'n'Dry to remove scuffs and hammer marks (it was hard to crack the seal) Spend $35 at Supercheap on pretty tins of shiny stuff Spray the blue on the cover Look in disgust cause it doesnt look right Read the cans Use the basecoat like you should have in the first place Respray the blue Seek assistance of Bajic brother to refit the cover (I told…

As mentioned in my ke30 thread I bought this little beastie yesterday, had been sitting in a grandmas front lawn for 10 years untouched. We put a battery and some fuel in and it went second turn of the key, absolutely no brakes but that didn't stop us going for a drive out of the driveway and down the driveway to the shed and in for a bit of disassembly. Anyhow I have some before photos of as I found it and after a decent wash. Still running the factory 3k with k40, has some interesting trim my other ke20 L didn't have. Here it is my 92 holden nova GS with the unusual 7afe 1.8 engine. i bought it about 8 or 9 months ago of my workshop controller who used to work at a toyota dealership, who told me that the car had been in his familly since it had 50000 kms on it(it now has 287000km) and i reckon with new valve stem seals the engine could do an other 200000km no problems. the rear window is coming off at the bottom, which is annoying as i have to drain thye water out of the boot every time it rains :glare: . Ok guys i have been lurking here for a little while waiting to buy a car. Well last weekend i picked up a 1969 KE10B which was advertised on this forum. Reading through here a bit i see its advised to intro yourself and throw up some pictures of your car, so here they are. I bought the car with the intentions of painting it, putting in a new interior and using it as a daily driver. Arrived just an hour ago on a truck from Victoria. On initial drive and inspection i have no doubt that the car has only travelled 48,000miles. Interior is very good, only two small holes in the drivers seat, all other seats, door trims, roof lining and rubber floor coverings are perfect. All door and boot rubbers are excellent and the paintwork is pretty much all original. The front apron has had a small bump and an ordinary repair, but thats easily fixed. Engine and box are perfect and the car drives like new. All brightwork is excellent so to are all the lenses. Considering i bought the car sight unseen ( pics only ) i'm very happy! I purchased this little beast off Ed (SLO-055) earlier this week, sadly only had a couple of times to drive it this week due to working, but hell its got some mumbo! Coupla' specs AW11 4A-GZE FC 'cooler SAAS bucket 16 inch Lenso'y looking wheels. etc, etc. Plans are to maybe chuck the 15psi pulley on for a bit before taking the engine out and putting it into my KE70. Then putting my KE70 4K into this and use as a daily or pass it onto the girlfriend. Love the thing though, puts a smile on my face :2thumbs: More pictures later this weekend.

Thought id give a little in site in to why Ive got a KE35. my 1st car was a very nice KE35 coupe moss green only a bit of rust was in the rear boot (wheel arch) as it was my 1st car i loved it so much. heres a pic of it and my wife about 7-8 years ago.. ended up a wright off (not my folt) ever since been looking for one good or bad, then along came this one from Newcastle.. KE35 coupe silver metalick (needs clear cote) things that i need to do.. Ive got to cut the rust out of the bonnet or get a new one (no luck so far). then see if i can fix the problem of the bonnet not laching over. then see if i can find any other problems…

My car was built from a brand new shell by TOM's Japan for Tom's Toyota Racing GB (England). its first race was Spa 24 hour(Belguim) in 1987. After winning its class in the British Touring Car Championship in 1988 & 89, it came to Australia as part of the Bob Holden team. The car raced in the Aust touring Car Championship from 1990-93. Well ive been searching long and hard for a decent 2 door ke30 and i finally found one which i purchased off ebay today. Its a 1974 model been resprayed blue. Apparently an apprentice spraypainter owned the car before this bloke and this was the first car he'd sprayed. So the paint is average but will definately come up shiny with a light polish. I basically was looking for one that was pretty dint free and minimal to no rust or previous damage in the rear and doors as the front half of the panels are easier to find than the back. Hi guys, I've had this for a while now and i thought it was about time i do some more work on it.. I originally had an immaculate T-18 which i only owned for 6 months due to my brother writing off! *Spewin* ;) I then bought this KE30 4door, it was rough as guts but after i lost my pride and joy i had no money, and as a struggling first year apprentice i had to make do.. I proceeded to pull out the engine and 5speed, seats and a few other bits and pieces from the T-18 before cutting the whole lot up with a 9inch angle grinder and taking the rest to the tip! 3K began to chew oil, valve seals gone, bottom end barings gone, few other tiddley bits going pear shaped. Decided to send it to engine hospital and have a makeover. I know, a 3K is not worth it but it is something to waste money on. Step one. Took out the engine. Took half a day. Step two. Pulled every thing apart. Send bits off. Turned out two of the rear cylinders had absolutely NO water flow around them, totally cloged with crap. Good time to pull apart it would seem. The cam was absolutely hammered aswell. Hey all, Relatively new to these forums but I thought I would post up a couple of photos of my KE70 project. It is a 2 door conversion from a 4 door. It’s had the B-pillars moved back about 200mm and the front doors extended to suit. Just picked up the wheels for it this week, I had them sandblasted and then powder coated at my uncle’s powder coating business and polished up the dish and I think they come up Mickey Mouse. Only got the pair for the front so am trying to chase up another pair for the rear, slightly wider ones. It’s going to run a S13 front end with a SR20det with RB20box and R31 diff.
