This is my ke10 I picked up today, a lady from the high school I went to got in contact with me (now I'm 18 and finished school) and offered me the car, she noticed the love I had for cars back in high school and when she thought about getting rid of this "old car taking up space on her farm " she thought of me, all she could tell me over the phone was it was a one of the first Toyotas off the production line, I went and checked it out and when I saw it was a ke10 I was very keen, she offered it to me late last year but its taken me till now to pick it up ( trying to find time amongst finishing other projects and work), the body if fairly straight just a few dints, front …

I have owned this car twice, this is the second time I have attempted to build it for a 4age.. First owned the car somewhere around 10 years ago.. Paid $700 for what was a decent car, as time went on I purchased an import corona turbo and got sick of the corolla. After sitting in the weather for a few years I decided to fit a 4age in it... After fitting the motor, getting extractors and a bunch of work done I got desperate and needed a wagon.. So I sold it for $1000 with brand new custom 4age extractors, modified radiator, recond (unused head), recond twin solex and a brand new redline manifold and a t50.. Sadly I lost an ASS load of cash car was stripped f…

Hi, I was only going to post my car when it was painted and completed, but thats never going to happen. A project car is never done. I will spare you all with in 'in the build pictures' untill later (there's heaps). It was stock standard when I first got the car. I was going for a tuff street sleeper car. Iv'e tried to list all the modifications, but there is just so much. Here it is: Engine Nissian CA18DET Stock. All seals/serviceable parts completed prior to installation. Modified firewall & tunnel. Modified S12 engine mounts with RX7 Nolthane rubbers Gearbox Nissian S13/S12 (shorten version) gearbox, rebuilt. (Poorly rebuilt by professional. Still to b…

So!.... I've had this for a while. A mate of mine said he saw an old corolla his buddy posted and thought I might be interested. Called him and turned out to be a 67' ke10! ????. Long story short, picked it up for a steal and took it to the missus brothers place to store it. I had originally bought the car to use as a doner for my blue 70' ke11 but turns out its a very very straight shell with the normal rust in the spare wheel well and a few tiny spots up front in the sils in front of the door, besides that, I'm stoked! It also has ae86 struts and hubs in there somehow too. A few owners before me has a turbo ca18 in it so it's got a big trans tunnel which suits my p…

This was my mothers car bought for her brand new in 1969. Car is still in the family and has original 81,000 miles on clock. She drove the car until 1990 when it was passed on to me. The car is featured in many shows and the "Australian" news paper. This was the start of my collection. Rolou.

I picked up a KE10, about 6 months ago now, from a fellow member. She is a bit rough, but that's okay. I'm planning to use it on the track car. THIS IS A VERY VERY VERY PART TIME CAR. I don't a great deal of anything to it... Ever! When I picked it up it had flat 12" stockies painted green with a VERY dodgy white wall. It had an autotechnica sports steering wheel, 4 speed manual and extractors. It was powered by a strangely powered 3k. Quite bizzare as this 3k was a little monster. Since the original purchase of the car, I have since stripped out the interior and put in a heavily worked and rebuilt 5k. The 5k was a EVSKI ROLLASPORTS special, ask Evan G. (He m…

Ok so i have been looking around on this site for a while now and i find it quite enjoyable checking out everyone's ride so i thought i would start a thread on this little Ke10 that i have been playing with for the last 3 years. This car is to be my wifes daily driver when its all together. The story started after i sold my last Ke10 that i owned when first met and after selling it we decided that we missed the little bugger, so we went and bought another. unfortanetly i don't have pics when we drove it home but it was white, rust free and 4k, 4 speed powered and that was six years ago. so three years ago we started pulling apart with the intention of a full r…

Can't believe our luck! My brother just bought a ke10 as a project for us. Its a ke10-B, an update 10, with ke11 dash, but still just a K. Apparantly this car spent time in Tokyo, before being inported into Aus. (Has got AMI badges tho) Lived in Darwin, survived cyclone Tracy, although a tree went thru the windscreen and smashed up the dash. Then was shipped to Adelaide, before coming to canberra about 25 years ago. We spotted this car no more then 500 meters from mum and dads house, out front, under a gum tree. The owers were going to sent it to the crusher, we saved it with only a few days to spare! AND we got it for $200!!!!!!!!!! This is about all t…

HI all so ive been on here for a while religiously watching peoples progress on there ke projects.and finnaly decidded to add mine its a ke11 it had a 5k 5peed otherwise pretty standed unfortunately just before Christmas the diff blew so as i was replacing diff i decided to lower it as well. even more unfortunate i had major issues with the diff being a different drive shaft bolt pattern and so it sat in my garage for a while and to add to my bad luck my house went under in the floods taking the car with it. water receding after floods leaving it wet and muddy after i stripped the interior and water blasted it very strange feeling. so at this point …

Hey Hey, This is my 5/70 Ke11 SE. The car was sold by Bill McCluskey's River view motors on Coronation Dr, Milton in Brisbane. A lady in Camp hill bought the car on the 22nd of May 1970. The 1000 mile inspection and Pre delivery was done by River view motors and every service after that was done on time at a Shell service station on Cavendish Rd at Coorparoo. I think the original rego was PPJ-859. The car has its warranty book, owners manual, A.M.I Electrocoat booklet, AWA authorised car radio service stations booklet and a diamond dot tape mate instruction booklet. Factory 3K and Toyoglide, Hubcaps and trim rings, Drums all round, Steel bladed fan and a borg …

I have recently acquired a ke11, it had been sitting under a tree for like 25 odd years and i got it for next to nothin which is a bonus and the body is good part from one dint on the back next to r/h tail light. The car is pretty well complete bar a couple of small things. It has minimal rust from what i can see but the paint is screwed from leaves sitting on it :y: - definately new coat needed!, thinkin maybe gun metal grey, but open to suggestions. the interior is pretty well complete, however the back seat is blue and the front red??? anyone know why, has it just been reappolsterd? or changed? does any one know of a good cheap rotar package, supply and fit! …

Thought it was about time to put up a Rides post about my current ke15.I started rebuilding it in 2008 .I first got the shell as a spare parts car for the ke15 I had at the time. I never planned on rebuilding it, as it was not that great a shell .It was only ever going to be a parts car for panels etc should something unthinkable happen to my good one. Well the unthinkable happened one night while I was out my house was broken into & my ke15 was used as the getaway car .Latter to be found as a burn out shell in the local pine forest .A few years passed till I finally got the bug again to drive a ke15 .So I decided to rebuild the old shell I had sitting there for part…

Hi All, Just thought i would update you on the final testing of our KE15 for this year. Just had it down at Four Performance at Parafield for its final tune and check. See one of the runs on You tube: We ended up finding out that the fuel pump was faulty which stopped the 4psi of fuel pressure needed for webers. It was running at about 1.5Psi which shows up on long power runs with the weber fuel bowl running dry, this then started to lean out the mixture at the high end. This was fixed with new fuel pump which should now maintain the pressure required. Bloody amazing what Dyno's can show when you are testing on them. The final power figure was about 105…

Hi all I have been missing having a fun weekend car that I can take on cruises etc and have been keeping an eye out for something classic and preferably in original condition. That search led me to this little gem. Its a 1969 KE15 SL Sprinter with just over 90,000km on the clock. Was owned by a 95 yo (!!!!) marine engineer, who hasn't driven it in the last 4 or 5 years, but up to then was his pride and joy. I dealt with his daughters who wanted it to go to a loving home, and fortunately they decided I was the perfect second owner! They were apparently never allowed to drive it when they were growing up, it was his car and his car only! it had a flat batter…

INTRO Hi. The other day I scored a cheap as pretty neat condition KE15 and a few have been asking about it so I decided to start my ride thread for its journey from back shed to the road and beyond. The car was purchased off an old guy who lived close to me and he could no longer drive so had no use for it and sold it. He was part way through restoring it as he wanted to drive it again and he was the original owner which made it all the better. Over the cars history from what he told me he: Killed a dog in it. His daughter used it to learn in and be a daily. He liked doing a few races in it. Blew up an original K-B motor. As he got old it was to fast for him so …

gday everyone, this is my ke16 I semi rebuilt, painted etc. It's got a rebuilt 4k with 7ke fuel injection, crane cams electric distributor and coil, 5speed, tacho. We put it on the dyno last friday and had huge back fire type flutters out of the throttle body, since running the motor in over the last two weeks it hasn't been reving well at all, so i thought a tune would sought things out but the owner of the dyno seems to think a lobe on the cam has been chewed off. We measured the valve lift and it looks like my rebuild could of been a rip off, I asked for a tighe cam with .423 valve lift and we measured around .25. The cam comes out tomorrow for…

Bought this KE16 wagon from Leon Edwards in Melbourne about 5 years ago. The car was in pretty good condition when I got it. The only thing I have done is changed the motor to a 5K, and still running a 2 speed auto.Put the mags on a year ago,the car is entered for Motor Fest in Sydney, Australia day 2011. Hope to see you all there.

Hi guys, just showing off my KE17... I've had it for about 8 months now, driving it on and off and fixing issues as they come up. I've got money saved up to do a restoration/mods... its just a matter of time. There are very few of these things up in the northern hemisphere, VERY hard to find parts. As it sits now it has 90k miles on it, the body is great with a paint job that looks perfect from 10 feet and just a couple little bubbles of rust, but mechanically its a bit tired. The seats are a pretty wasted but the door cards, headliner, and dash are overrated. I'm unsure at this point of future plans. I think at this point I'm leaning towards a 4k+5spd and some s…

Hey guys, My Project Plan: My plan is to rebuild a Toyota Corolla Ke17 Sprinter which has been my dads for many years and has been sitting around unused since 1996, From what i can gather it had a 4k in the end which had a big cam i think and dad said it went ok. Anyway my plan is to get the car and do a full rebuild from ground up, ill put a 3k or 4k(which we have under the bench and has a big cam :laff:) then make the engine a uprite version which will be a bit of work but will be worth it in the end, set of twin 40mm webbers, twin throttle linkage, t50 gearbox modified to suite uprite engine, um not sure on front end yet but prob rosebud joint the front end, may…

So i may have bought yet another Corolla for the collection.. This makes 3 Ke1x chassis i own now, With a possible 4th and 5th in my sights also So basically, What we have here is a mostly original Ke17 Sprinter. Car hasn't been on the road since 1994 and it's sat outside ever since.. It's currently a rolling shell but it does come a 4k and a k50 Basic run down is it's quite straight, mostly rust free and very complete. Everything interior wise will need replacing besides the passengers door card and seat.. It's had a hit in the rear so the boot won't close, but certainly fixable! The main good bit of the deal is it came with 6x Ke1x chassis's spares.. …

G'day everyone, I not so long ago bought a Ke18 2 door windowless panelvan from a member on here, so I thought I'd start a small project thread. :bash: So far I have swapped the silver wheels for a set black ones from a mazda 626 which I had on a ke20 parts car in the backyard * Replaced the pitman arm with a new one which I managed to get from Pabs. * Pulled out the original NOISY banjo diff and put in a complete borgwarner diff out of a ke11 parts car which I also have. ( I can hear what my passenger is saying now) :D * Repainted the inside back part matt black again to freshen it up. * Moved tacho from under dash to the top of steering column. * …

Well, as some of you may know i have a bit of a ke1x addiction... I still currently have my ke17 sprinter and a ke16 wagon but i've chasing this car for 5+ years and finally managed to buy it. Ke1x wagon is pretty much my dream car, and was a bit saddened when my current one (build thread on here) is too rusty to do much with... Now this one is not perfect, But it's pretty bloody good. Rust is minimal to none just some damage and bad paint to deal with. Luckily i have a full donor front end as the one with it was junk.. The plans for short term are try to make it run and stop so i can move it around easier, and then go over the whole car and make a lis…

Hi Guys, thought I'd finally get around to posting some pics of my KE18. Yes, this wagon used to belong to Gavclassic, I bought it off him about a year or so ago and the car now lives with me in Toowoomba. There was some rust in the roof that I needed to fix, so I thought that if I was going to have to repaint the roof I might as well add a little spice while I was at it. I thought that I'd pop up the few pics I had to get peoples opinions. I will take some sexy pics of the whole car very soon and pop them up for all to ogle over. I'll get around to the pics and I'll put some info on the car up in the next few days as well, just don't have alot of time right n…

Just got my hands on a ke11 rolla on the (07/07/07.....might be lucky :y: ), this is my first rolla build with plans to turn it into a daily/hillclimb with a ca18de. Haven't done a whole yet just sussing the body work, housing the motor and box and getting all the parts together at the moment. I ended up using a ke55 tunnel, it hosts the box nicely with it out the car. Not to sure on how to go about making engine mount templates, any ideas are appriciated i would concider anything. will have pics up shortly keep an eye out James
