I am looking for the man I brought this car off to ask some questions about the work done on the engine. I brought this car in 2010 from a man in Pimpama, QLD. The car had no plates and looked like it does in this picture. I am trying to find more information on what work they had done to the engine. Any help would be great. Cheers, Jamie

Hi, I just joined this forum and this is my first post. I'm 20 and from the very top of Norway, my daily is a 2004 Audi A6 1.8T Quattro. Recently I bought a 79' Ke30 online, and I'm going to pick it up next week! The car is already insured and registered in my name. Unfortunately the car seems to have lived a rough life on the salty roads of Norway and therefore there's some rust on it. The previous owner have rustwelded parts of the channels. What's left (that I know of) is a wheel well and a hole in the trunk. The car have have rolled around 330000km (205000 miles) I'm so excited to pick it up! I'll keep you guys updated.

Hi, I just recently bought my first Toyota, so I am still learning about them but so far I am in love with this car. It's got a few minor dents and dings here and there and needs major interior work, but other than that it is totally rust free, engine runs like a watch (the transmission is a different story), and the body is totally straight. So after selling my Stagea i needed a new daily driver.. I bought a 1978 Mazda 323 Bugeye needing minimal work. Did a few mods, Blew it up and then needed another daily while i fix it.. So i bought this! 1.6 Manual converted. 151000ks. Full nugget spec with total neglect, Weldy choppies etc shitbox I had it for about 2 days before hating it so broke out the spanners. Doing plugs discovered 3 different kinds of plug and burnt out points. Wound timing back to an acceptable level while i was there. Thought of the Corolla and really liked the aesthetics of the AE82 - AE94. Thought maybe I could find something to work on. Well it's been a long time since I've had a project, but picked up this ke20 from a mate's dad looking to get rid of some vehicles. It's had a respray at some stage, as well as new springs and discs just before he took it off the road 7 years ago and it has just sat there. Plan is just to tidy up the body, get it running and then registered. So i got a message from guy that said "I have a 67 station wagon, Very rough".. After a quick call, with cash in hand i went and had a look... A 1st gen wagon has been something i've dreamed of since i can ever remember.. And the thought of one being so close to me for so long... I had to have it. It was rough... The car had sat in a long grass paddock since early 1990's.. And it showed. Every panel dented, rusted.. Hyper extended door, rat piss interior "Ran when parked"... I had to save it. I paid the man, Organised a truck and it arrived the next day. So, Here it is.. My 1967 Ke16!

Ciao from Athens! I want to share some pics of my red diva with the community. She was bought a couple of years ago from a mariner who drove her rarely and was stored most of the time in his garage. She has about 130.000 km on speedo, the interior and engine bay are in like new condition, completely rust free wheels, engine bay, around the chassis and inside the trunk.. Maintenance wise, just the basic stuff: upon delivery I replaced the oils, filters, spark plugs, contact points, rear diff oil, fitted new tyres and some water cooling lines which looked not good to the eye and to the touch (more like a preventive action). In completion of my AE86 project (which has been promoted to my 'Sunday Fun-day car, this is a very high rank) I have bought myself a pre-facelift KE25... for some reason. Have scored myself so far, KE20 1200 HI-Delux front guards, bonnet (not pictured) and grill setup from Japan TE27 Trueno rear tail lights from Japan 4k and K40 locally I predict that this will be a 2+ year long project, but looking forward to it none the less! Hi guys, Picked up this KE35 the other day. I'm new to Corolla's so learning as I go. I don't really have a clear direction for it yet, just hoping to improve it gradually over time. It's reasonably straight with the exception of some minor dings and scratches accumulated over the past 42 years and seems to be free of any serious rust. It's had a closed door respray at some point too, the original colour is similar but more of slightly darker grey. Running a standard 3k but has had a 5 speed conversion - not sure which type yet. first task will be a decent service I think, radiator is putrid and oil's not much better. Cheers, John.

So i may have bought yet another Corolla for the collection.. This makes 3 Ke1x chassis i own now, With a possible 4th and 5th in my sights also So basically, What we have here is a mostly original Ke17 Sprinter. Car hasn't been on the road since 1994 and it's sat outside ever since.. It's currently a rolling shell but it does come a 4k and a k50 Basic run down is it's quite straight, mostly rust free and very complete. Everything interior wise will need replacing besides the passengers door card and seat.. It's had a hit in the rear so the boot won't close, but certainly fixable! So, I bought another ke10.. This now makes 4 ke1x chassis cars I own currently haha I'm not 100% sure of it's outcome currently but I bought it anyway.. the shell is quite rusty in the front and the rear end has had a lot of crash damage in the rear end and as a result has a lot of bog and misalignment.. I believe I'll use this a donor for my other green sedan.. see what happens!

Heyo, some of you might remember my Brown KE20 restoration, its finished and i traded it for this shitty supra... 2JZGE, s13 front suspension with coilovers and thats about it wiring was a mess, here i have cleaned the whole enginebay, painted the camcovers and claned the wiring a bit, you can see the ecu laying in the engine bay... good... parts... a month after i got it it spun a rod bearing, turns out the engine was really unhealthy, all the pistons was full of some stuff, i think its been runing on the cold start alot of the time or something.. the day before the engine started knocking ohh and did i mentio…

Hey all, Figured I'd throw up a build thread for this with the hopes it'll keep me motivated and on track (lol) Bought this back in Jul'15 and drove it back home from QLD. I'll be honest, it was a pretty scary drive! The suspension was set up for track use with oversized sway bars, strut & piller supports and the dampers set to the hardest setting. The forum activity is minimum, one of the forums is ending soon. I have a classic 1974 TE27 SR5 clone project for sale and has drawn almost no interest. DO not get me wrong, next weekend is the JCCS at the queen mary in Long Beach and there will be a crowd with 300-400 cars....but these are the die hards. Hey, got another ae86 this saturday.. bought it unseen its been sitting for 10 years, a bit new fuel and clean the plugs and it fired right up steamed the bay and its overrated! T3 camber plates, AGX adjustable dampers front and rear, T3 coilovers in the front, and NCRCA's its better than at first look, its just the fenders thats gone here.. a bit in the door and in the rear neew wheel arch glued in one of the windows got a exhaust leak i took the manifold out stainless headers going in new oil, filter and plugs.. time for test drive ill just…

Planning some work on my KE55, time for a build thread. Here goes: I bought this stock as a rock KE55 a few months ago, and have been pouring time into learning how everything works and repairing whatever issues spring up. So far, I've changed the stock carby to a 32/32 weber off a fiat 500 (or similar), given it a thorough tuneup, done a couple of suspension bushings, etc. and changed the clutch after it exploded when I was interstate. It's developed a decent misfire, and I've diagnosed this as a piston ring issue. The motor also has just on 200k kms on it. I figure if I'm going to take the motor out to fix it, I may as well change it for a 5k! I…

We’re finally beginning to get back into doing some work on the cars. First priority is getting my ke30 club car going. Today Rob and I managed to tidy up some wiring in the engine bay and remove the majority of some very hard cracked paint and rust from the bootlid. Obviously there’s still a lot more work to be done, including some more much dreaded sanding tomorrow, but we’re making progress. forgot to take a pic of the bootlid before I started, but this pic is after hours of scraping and sanding :/ it looked like dry cracked mud prior!

A couple of years ago i picked up this KE35 here in the philippines. Pretty much it was just covered in rust and had just two passenger side seats and cheap carpet glued all over the place to cover up the rust. I figured It would be a good project for me to work on my body work and welding skills. turns out i was right, lots and lots of practice.
