Hey guys been thinking alot how would I go about getting a stance like the car below aka what suspention and wheel size

hi all, i am searching for a toyota engine capable of competing with honda k20 type-R motor (220hp/160tq). in drag racing on streets.. the only engine which clicks me is 1UZFE, but because of the torque at low RPM, spinning is an issue. but i m not sure, if it does the same with Mannul transmition W58, its 250hp/250tq. we had few swaps here with A/T., they just spins badly in first 2 gears, we found it equalant to B16. we can be wrong. you input is highly appriciated.. 2ZZGE is not an option... because of unrealiability and it don't stand a chance againt K20. looking for an engine to compete on stock grounds, thanks for your time..

I don't know where exactly to post this topic. Couldn't really find a exterior or wheel specific section... Just bought a KE70 sedan with some horrible ugly looking wheels on it which will be removed as soon as I find something I like (and can afford) I've done a few Google searches, but just wanted to get opinions from Corolla lovers - in your own opinion, no judgements, Whats the best wheels you've seen on a KE70/AE71 that really suit this model car ? pics of said wheels on the car would really be appreciated. cheers Damo

This is pretty much what the car will look like with the paint on... it looks a bit more reddy in the color, but it's Tiger Mica... Now, do I go with black airbrushed Tiger stripes in portions of the vehicle? Throughout the whole car? Or none at all? Your votes and comments please...

Hello All, big time fan, big time lurker, first time Rollaclub post... I'm planning a build for a 1uzfe KE30/TE31 resto-mod project, and wondering what kind of possibilities I would have for IRS, but the Mx-5 subframes seem awfully promising. There are a slew of v8 miatas in america, including a few 1uzfe ones, so there is a TON of info on reinforcing the chassis/upgradedsuspension options. This will be my first build ever, and plan to tackle most of it myself. Anyways, I'm still open to leaf spring options, but no matter what, i will be spending an awful lot of time on the car, and going all out means just what is best for it, so I just want to know if an…

Ok folks.. It's that time again! I am willing to make this happen this year, so I'll need pictures of your cars. Preferrably high quality and digital, as I don't have access to a scanner. Hi guys. Am just trying to sort out my my preferred height for my ke11. Have converted front drums to ke15 discs in the front, have some ke20 front springs on ke11 front struts. Also have removed the front transverse leaf spring and will put in a sway bar. But before I install the sway bar I want to get the correct height. With the 30mm lowered ke20 springs it way to high and wondering how you guys have managed to lower the car without chopping springs? Any help is appreciated Cheers

hey guys, just stickin the intercooler into the 1ggte rolla at the moment, and took the bumper off to make it a bit easier to fiddle around, and well it looks good and its gonna give better flow without the bumper, and theres a wonderfully placed hole on each side where the i/c piping can go. so this brings me to my question: will i get defected or not pass a safety cert if i don't have a front bumper? cheers guys, andrew

As many of you probably know, I recently purchased Lola, my KE55 Corolla (4-door sedan). Now I need to learn more about her. Can anyone tell me what the differences are between the KE30 4-door, and the KE55 4-door? I looked on www.drive.com.au to try and find out what the KE55 weighed, and they didn't even have a 4-door listed, however the firewall declares her to be a KE55E model. I know that the KE55 has rectangular headlights whereas the KE30 had round ones, and that they obviously have different grilles, but aside from that I can't spot much else (from the little I have seen of any KE30's). Hey all, just wondering if anyone knows of any steel grilles for ke30/55, had plastic ones a few times on a couple different rollas, but a steel one would be pretty neat I reckon, plus really last...?!?!? Or if anyone has any info on how to make a mould of a plastic one to be made out of steel.???

So I'll be getting new rims sometime next week and I'm very undecided on what to get. So thought a discussion and vote on what would look better on a ke70 would be fun. Both rims have gorgeous looks and have a well known history in the Japanese tuning market. Either Rims will be ordered Front:R15 x 9jj +-0 Rear:R15 x 9jj -10 Either Rims will be wrapped in 195/50. Hey guys I currently own a 1970 ke11 with a 7k I haven't had this engine in for long I was happy with the power increase for the first week but now I am chasing more power. I had in mind a full rebuild, balanced, head port and polished, larger valves and cam regrind, electronic dizzy and performance coil, twin webber carbys and match ported manifold, fuel pump and rising rate regulator, and a new exhaust system. I already have an electronic dizzy, set of extractors and a rising rate reg. Is this going to be worth my while or do I go supercharged and fuel injection? I don't particularly want to go down this path but if what i had in mind is not going to satisfy me…

I bought the latest issue of Wheels yesterday (December issue with 'Godzilla' on the front). On page 112 they do a short article on the new VW Golf GT (not GTi, just GT). It will sit between the 2.0L 110kW FSi Sportline and 2.0L turbo 147kW GTi in the Golf model line up. So you'd assume it will have a low boost version of the 2.0L turbo engine, like Audi use, wouldn't you. You'd be wrong. The new Golf GT uses the new TSI motor, which is a 1.4L supercharged and turbocharged 125kW four cylinder petrol engine. VW call it the Twincharger (or TSI), and it's basically the same setup HKS used on their Twincharger setup for the 4A-GZE. Except it actually works properly …

Hey all, i have a KE55 which I'm getting for rego, i couldn't stand the ugly square headlights, grille and the hideous front bumper, so i got to work The mess i started with, broken square grille 1 driving light, fugly front bar Everthing off except for bumper. Rolla-boy aka Geoff, helped me with the next part, Yellow circles are the brackets that are needed to come off, red ones are where the adjusting screws go into (i went to supercheap and got some new clip thingys and new screws, the blue ones is what the spring goes onto. Hey guys I have a 1983 Ke70 Wagon with a 4k-c motor in it. Everything is pretty much stock. I'm having troubles with the carby, for example it doesn't like to idle and it stalls every time I come to a stop or intersection whilst driving it. I took it to a mechanic and he said the carby is the problem, he also said that when he had his Ke70 he had a 32/36 weber on it. I need help/information as to what the difference would be in rebuilding my carby or doing the 32/36 weber conversion?. Cheers

We were driving along, no noise, no nothing, and I lost boost, the turbo's not spooling, I checked the air intake piping that's all ok, checked oil and water, that's ok, I just don't have power :o I think I broke the turbo..... Any ideas??? Lesley :jamie:

Mine is a limited edition Lotus Esprit, turbo. About a 91 model. Belonged to my gfs dad. Blue leather, alpine goodies, white pearl paint and it did 130 km/h in second gear without revving all that hard. Soooo fun. You pretty much lie down inside it. Think he only paid about 65 or 70 grand for it too.
