Well, I thought I'd spawn a new thread to post this. We are having to work at some bodgie places lately. Here is the latest... This is a 1960's block of units. They bought the block of 6 for $1.5 Million. They ripped out 4 of 6 undercover basement car parks and turned them into 2 more units. (Now totaling 8) They have dug out the front yard and built an area for 5 parks. So that's 2 original basement parks + 5 new ones totaling 7, while there is 8 units?? The upper floors have many many holes punched into the ceiling. One would think that we would need to resheet the whole thing, but no, just patch. Each unit may have upto 10 holes in its ceiling. They remove…

:ninja: -Okay, so i've got afew scars and often i'm asked howd that happen and whats that from. So i usually turn around and tell them something comeletly not true, yet shocking. I'll start with mine in the reverse order from least favorite to most. Okay, so i've got acouple of scars on my back from mole removals. When someone asks me how i got them i'd tell them i was either shot, or stabbed. My next scar is the biggie. It runs the whole length of my sternum. Thats from the bottom of my collar bone to the bottom of my rib cage. (Reasons again in reverse) Least favorite reason... Was abducted by aliens. Was mistaken for dead and they realised I wa…

Don't vote till you read. I have noticed over the past week or 2 that it is as though this forum is dead, when I say dead I don't mean no members, I mean people coming on to use the tech or for sale section and that is it, where has all the club spirit where people used to socialise? even last few b'day threads I have posted go un-replied. I am actually looking forward to the xmas period in the hope we get more members that will be more active. Dunno about anyone else but I am on here everyday for numerous hours, this place has become a part of me.

Arrived in Osaka a few hours ago... I'm already having a phat car overdose. *relax, remember to breathe* Unfortunately my camera shat itself pretty much as soon as I landed so pics will be forthcoming as soon as I pick up a new one... there's about 300 electronics stores one street up from my hotel so it shouldn't be a problem :P Oh and its cold. Bitterly, bone chillingly cold. Just nipped out to grab some dinner and now I can't feel my face... its cold. Stay tuned kids :)

everyone has that one car (besides a rolla) that they would buy if the won lotto or inherited a few million. i thought it would be cool to see who would buy what and what different tastes people have, and post up a pic and maybe a reason why you like that car for me it'd be a chaser, who could turn down a car that looks so good and comes with a 1jz...

:ninja: -Ok, today i went to the wreckers. Its my third time there and i'm walking along when all of a sudden i see a giant black cow come out from between two cars?? WTF?? It scared the shit out of me. Plus i've never been around a cow before so I ran. Then i came back later to take photos. I then realised that, that was the reason that there is massive cow pies everywhere. (Luckily I haven't stood it one....Yet) When i went to the checkout and asked about their weird guard dog, they told me they had 3?? Any who. Who can top it?? Jon.

Hey All, Just a quick one to let you all know I'm the newest member in the ever growing rollaclub dad club! I'm busy and tired so I'll make it quick. Due to medical comlications baby is with us 13 weeks sooner than expected, but was healthy enough to be screaming (and breathing) as soon as he was pulled out and is now doing very well. Obviously he's pretty small 795gm to be exact, but he's a little fighter so he'll hopefully be home around the due date which was 17th August. Mum is also now fine and should be up and about soon. We were having a lot of trouble just trying to short list some names, so are really struggling now, so he still hasn't got one b…

Now, assuming you all remember the horror that Ash Wednesday brought to Melbourne in the summer of 1983, then brace yourselves... Victoria is on fire all over the state, i am not sure on all details, however there are 40 confirmed dead, places such as Bunyip, Kinglake, Healseveale, Marysville, Alexandra, etc are ablaze. Living so close (Croydon) is frightening. With containment lines broken by 12pm this afternoon, the fires have raged in the heat, with many areas of Victoria reaching almost 50*C and winds reaching 80-90km/h the battle has been treacherous to say the least. May our thoughts be with those who are affected by this terrifying barricade of flames a…

Yes, three grown lads in a '35 from bottom to the top in a week. We NEED donations (to the cancer council) as it is a 4 grand minimum. All donations over 2 bucks are tax deductible. The car is? My old hardtop. If you have a business and donate over 100 bucks you'll get a sticker on the beast. Please give. I'll post a heap of pics for shits and giggles that go with it. http://www.everydayhero.com.au/mike_and_the_mechanics Bamboo

I've seen a BMX thread so I searched for a mountain bike thread and nothing came up so I'll start one. Years ago I rode enduro dirt bikes, I was winging to a mate about the costs of this and he invited me to come ride a DH bike as it's mainly a setup cost. Well I did ended up hooked sold the old dirt bike and the rest is history. Raced a couple of state race rounds which is fun and the DH community is very welcoming. I mainly ride the local trails 15min from home and mt buller when they are open. So here are details of my current ride(pics later tonight when I get to the laptop). Frame : 2003 Kona stab deluxe(could have a newer one but I like the way it rides). Fork…

Yes you are! hahahaha. WGMG Went to my mums in Oakey for a family party. Jumped out of the gfs car and bombed the big hill into town on my skateboard. By the time I got to the bottom there's these 2 idiot cops with their lights on behind me. They write me a ticket for riding my skateboard. This world has changed. I used to love Queensland because it was young and free. Now I want to burn the whole place to the ground and start over without all the protectionist, prohibitionist wankers claiming they are libertarians while taking away all your freedoms. Conservative government by nature is designed to sit back and let people do their own thing…

Hey guys, just thought this would be interesting to see what sort of cars you guys have had besides Corollas, and how many of you are also 'car sluts' as I am lol I have had the following: 1. TG Gemini - matt black lol, 1.8 5-spd, cut springs, semi stripped interior, pretty much a bush basher 2. VL Commodore lol - grey, lowered, intercepters, learnt to drive in 3. 77 KE30 Rolla - mustard, 3K auto, stock granny except for straight thru exhaust lol 4. 95 VS Commodore wags - stock, pioneer stezz 5. 82 KE70 Rolla - beige, 4K 5-spd, cut springs, straight thru exhaust, 'ghetto yo drifter' haha 6. 74 KE20 Rolla - white, worked 4K 5-spd, pretty overrated, custom excel f…

Well today is officially the hottest day in the 16 years i have graced this planet with my presence. It's 47 degrees out the back, and our air-con isn't making it bearable. At dad's factory, they didn't stop working all day as their boss is a tightarse and he believes that as long as its under 60 degrees in the factory its okay. Dad informed me it was 58.4 degrees, unbearable, yet if they stopped working they would be sacked. Will this heat in Melbourne just go away? Maybe it's what drove that nutcase 35-year-old man to stop on the West Gate Bridge, get out of his car and throw his 5-year-old daughter over the side to her death. Let's hope he burns in …

I thought i would start a thread where we could post up photos of cars that we think are just fantastic looking. beautiful looking cars, that you just look and and say "wow that looks good". now id like to try and keep this to factory cars, or only mildly modified. the car could be absolute garbage, unreliable, but if it looks fantastic, post it up. no limit on age, ok go! ill start off with a few of my favourites: Astin Martin DB4GT Zagato (all Astins look good, but this one especially) mercdedes 300 SL triumph TR4a and of course one of the most beautiful cars of all time. the ferraro 250GTO

OK there seems to be some confusion as to what the off topic area is and is not about. This is what I see off topic as being. I'm prepared to add to the list if you see it as something else Off topic IS: A place for topics that don't fit elsewhere A place for topics that are not related to cars A place for fun threads A side act to the main show (the rest of the forums) Off topic IS NOT The main focus of the forums A place where you can take a thread 4 billion miles off thread, just because you feel you can A place where you can ignore the rules and abuse other members, etc A place where can just chat to your mates in a thread with anot…

Well seems this is fast approaching and after the naming of the Wallabies Squad, and re-signing of their New Zealand coach, seems critics are jumping all over this one, Horwill to captain and Giteau sits at home Couple more tri nation matches, seems NZ could take the silverware The Saffas seem to be at a lost, but never doubt the Irish or the Frogs, Azzuri are an unusual team, and Japan has the tactics but no aggression (or size for that matter) but ill be keeping an eye on Samoa, gotta have huge boost since their win over the Wallabies, now the USA, powerhouse and are still in development, watch this space from them NZ for the win

Now, I'm not a believer in such superstition but I've been living in this house going on 4 years now and everyone that has ever lived here with me has encountered/heard shit that just isn't quite right, myself included but today's incident really takes the cake. A couple of my good friends used to live here with me and they all said that they heard weird shit and I know I was too, like we have these concrete stairs up to the front door and we would always hear footsteps coming up the stairs, open the door and theres no one there. Heard the taps and showers momentarily splurge water and not just like a leak or something, they legitimately sound like they've been turned…

Hey guys a hobby of mine a while back (still is but not 16 hours a day) was to play Live For Speed (no not the need for speed), the game was brought out as a racing game but has turned into a big hit for drifting, altho not many aussies have not heard of it there is still alot on there as this game is also an online game, the game itself is free but to unlock more cars and tracks you have to buy a licence (pm me for alternative single player mode), it also features 1 to 8 player drag racing track, a skid pan and a few city courses, you can use a keyboard, mouse or control/wheel but i find it better with the wheel, i am using the Logitech MOMO wheel which at the time was t…

Hi Guys My name is Andrew and i'm an addict!! I know there are a ton of rolla 'lovers' out there but i feel that i have become an 'addict' Symptoms include - constantly thinking about things to do to your rolla - constantly wanting to drive your rolla - Even after driving your rolla as soon as you get out you want to get back in for another drive - lying in bed at night, unable to sleep thinking about your rolla - when your asleep you dream about your rolla - Extreme rushes of excitment when you see another rolla My rolla isn't my daily so i always seem to have withdrawls Is anyone else an addict? Step forward and make your symptoms known

Having a house with several rooms stacked floor to ceiling with books, I ponder that their must be others out there that like a good read. What are you reading? What have you just read? What are you about to read? Where they any good? I've just finish a Charles Stross' "The Jennifer Morgue". Weird, demonological, and overall not a bad read. I would summorise the plot but I still can't work it out myself. Pegged for a re-read. Currently reading Nevil Shute "A town like Alice". An old favourite. I usually read this about once a year. About to read Anthony Burgess "Clockwork Orange". I'm puting off this one until I get over this illness I have. I'…

So, in my time on Rollaclub, ive noticed countless posts that have had a total lack of: - Understandable spelling - Proper punctuation & - Proper sentences. Does anybody else find they end up with a headache attempting to read a bunch of words with no punctuation? I wont go naming names or picking on certain people who do this time after time as that is totally unfair. This is simply a pet peeve that i hope some people can rectify. As this is a recurring problem, i think it is about time somebody complained about this. I am completely sick of reading, for instance, a for sale thread that does not have a single comma, full stop or capital letter …
