  1. HI I'm new here but have been lurking around for some time now. This is my 1980 corolla wich I have owned for 3 years now but first started to work on about a month ago. still a working project but will hopefully finish the mechanical stuff in 2-3 weeks I'm putting in a Volvo B230FK engine and m90 transmission. With 700cc injectors and 16t volvo turbo and about 18-20psi it will be around 250+ hp All controlled with MS3 I used s13 running gear in the front but with custom made lower control arms. s13 coilovers front and rear I put a 1980 hilux rear axle and vw rear brake calipers and SSangyong musso brake discs. some pics of the process …

Hey everyone, kinda new to the forum and definitely not close to a lot of you (I'm in the states). wanted to show off my 2 door sedan build a little and will probably ask questions along the way because you guys have waaaayyy more support for corollas other than AE86's than we do in the states. on with the build. i got this car 3 years ago now and was just going to use it as a DD so i didnt have to drive my miata all the time. here is a pic of when i got it. it had some issues when i got it... it had an electric fuel pump that was dumping 10 psi into a tired weber 32/36 so it was just pig rich. the exhaust manifold was broken and the exhaust was perf…

Thought I'd put this up to track it's progress, I have had a few sedans but not a wagon so this will be fun :), I got this particular one off a young girl who drove it while on her P's and before that it was an old lady car. Interior is original and unmolested and no rips/tears nothing! It looked like it was "repaired" a while back and now starting to uncover the horror!! As I got it, you can see the colour change down the side.... Hmm...?? Same on both sides! Cut out rust and put in new metal, no bog!!!!!!! This started off as a bubble!! Most of it is welded up now and half way through the wheel arch, I bought some ke70 front guards to do the fla…

Hi guys! Picked this little beauty up tuesday night. It's a standard 1981 KE70 panel van called Henry  I am the second owner! It has 250k on the clock but engine and gearbox were rebuilt about 80k ago. Drives well. It has a straight body but has a little rust in some areas. Interior needs a bit of work. I used to see this around my house a lot and one day, a few years ago, I pulled up next to it at the servo so I asked the bloke if he would sell, he said he wasn't selling yet but took my number anyway. Then recently, he and his wife contacted me saying they were looking to sell, so I went and had a look. So glad I did! Really nice people and was pleased with…

Picked this up about 6 months ago now. Ive been doing small things over the time due to lack of money so thought there was no reason to post up a build but now Ive worked on it a bit thought Id promote it a bit. One day I want this to be close to perfect (in my eyes) but this is what I started with, First thing I did was fix up the rear leafs, currently running a 5 leaf pack, 2 flipped. Stiffened up the rear end significantly but hoping on an again less bouncy setup in the future. I then got some tires for the rear cheviot turbo's, spacing out the rear down the track then possibly new rims, The cheviots are growing on me. I stripped back the tailgate also and…

hey people, just thought I would post up my 3 month old ke70 that I bought from a dodgy apprentice mechanic. eg. Cut au falcon springs (that fell out when we lifted the car up), welded stock borgwarner diff, blown head gasket, straight pipe to split sh*t drift tip yeeeee, instrument cluster wasn't working/broken, no locknut key, interior ripped to sh*t/missing a lot, wrong tyres to go with rims?!?!, callipers rattling, steering rack/rack boots destroyed, wheel bearings all shot and to finish it all off lots of body work.........................lucky we like challenges right.

Anyway when I got the car it had a stuffed 4a in it and had oil all over the engine bay god now's what happend to the poor old girl but that didn't bother me as I had a ke70 wagon with a clean dark blue interior and only 143000km on the clock, so I decided to scrap the wagon and go for the sedan (woohoo) I have wanted one of these since I was 13.When I got it home I pulled the dash out and all the pinchweld, platic trim and so on and replaced it with the dark blu…

Well,3rd time around, some may have seen I advertised a KE70 for a bloke in another area, well,I ended up buying it from him myself,$200. Think I paid too much really as it has 210,000k's,auto,a/c,interior is clean, boot, petrol flap and wheel arches are all rusted as per usual for a KE70 BUT it had 3 doors missing, boot lid missing, bonnet missing, damaged guard drivers side and no grill. Well,Ive got into it over the last 2 days and cleaned it up pretty well,a/c switch is missing but everything else seems ok at present. Raided the car at pick a part kilsyth and got all the panels I needed so that added $300 to the purchase price, they are all fitted up now but still missing …

It's an '84 ke70 wagon that I picked up close to two years ago now, paid $2150 which might have been a tad too much due to the rust but ahh well. This is how it sat as I got it Pretty much as soon as i got it home I tore it apart to inspect the rust. Wasn't too happy with what I found.. This was the worst of it as well as the usual in the guards, gutters and a few other stray spots. Unfortunately I had to do a quick fix as my brother sold his car and needed mine. So that involved sanding back, rust treating and a…

Hey guys I've just bought a pretty straight stock 82 ke70 xx. Apart from the general fixing up of the bog and rust throughout the car I was thinking of a few little mods to do on not the biggest budget. After all the body work is finished I'd probably be respraying it at home after getting a little more experienced in painting. I'd also be aiming for some wider wheels and was looking at 15x8+0, some opinions on that would be great. Lastly the stock 4k is a little bit on the slow side, some opinions on whether the 4k is actually worth the work or something like a 4age would be more appropriate. As far as I know there is an exemption available for P plates in queenslan…

More than one year ago, I've bought a Ke70 1980 the one with quadlights. I have in mind a complete factory restoration, a clean look with maybe some lowering and small details as an extra. Nothing special. Where I live, in Malta Europe, it's very hard to find parts and stuff. Infact I have struggled a lot to find parts I have today. One things I'm looking for at the moment and can't really find is the chrome trims. The ones that are on each of the four doors at the bottom of the window and also at the back of the rear doors, the same trims that the '82 GL models/versions used to come out with. Can anyone help me on this? I really appreciate your furthe…

  25. Hi all thought I would start a bit of a thread here with my rolla. I bought the rolla about 5 years ago now and had been driving as a daily until i had a work car so started to do some work on her. I pulled the motor out and did a rebuild myself (lots of learning). Tried various combinations of carbs from stock to weber also tried twin SU's worked great but my cam was to lumpy so did not work so well at idle. Anyway moved to Sydney and the car stayed here in QLD and unfortunately had to be stored outside and very quickly grew rust and was not quite the same. However I have now moved back to QLD and have decided to get it back on the road and make a project out of it…
