Got a ride you want to show off? This is the place to post them.

  1. http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/roads/veh...n/vsb_ncop.aspx Id encourage anyone setting out on a build to have a few nights reading this novel. Its actually quite sensible, so follow it and they will have to give you a mod plate and you can stay on the road! don't forget to refer to the Australian Design Rules to see exactly what they mean when they refer to them! http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/roads/mot...adr_online.aspx and thirdly, here is a general vehicle certification page. Its handy if you want to know whats involved in importing a car from overseas. http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/roads/mot...ards/index.aspx Enjoy!

  2. If any of you have seen the Rusty Relics thread on ausrotary you would have seen a lot of old, tied and very rusty Mazda’s. Well I thought id start a thread on rollaclub for the same reason except this one will be about Corollas and other Toyotas. I have about 87 MB of Mazda Rusty Relics and only 4 MB of Toyotas so I hope others can contribute. I know most Corollas aren’t that desirable except for the TE27 and a few others but a lot of other models are real collector’s items. Very similar to Mazda’s. I hope to go on a road trip later this year once my KE25 is done and find all the hidden treasure in the bush. Mainly going to find old Mazdas but also early KE Corol…

Here's a small introduction to what's resulted in countless hours, days, weeks, months, years of hard work, tears & dollars spent. The year is 2004, I acquired a Toyota Corolla from one of my friends, Nick. The vehicle had been stripped out with the engine bay painted, sitting beside a colossal pile of parts. Due to lack of time and a few others things, I acquired the old girl on her journey towards a better life. Its an Australian Delivered, 1982 KE70 Sedan owned previously by a Family from the south side of Brizzy. Maybe the 2nd owner? 3rd? who knows. The vehicle drove into the shed as presented below, eventually to end up getting a complete…

After almost 10 years the 2017 Ascent Sport hatch is officially mine. Not my wife's. We purchased this Corolla new in late 2017 for my wife as a daily driver. The old ZRE182R Ascent Sport hatch in something blue gem. 2ZR-FE, 6 speed manual. Factory tint, mats &, tow bar. Added the ceramic paint protection as well. Long story short, the gearbox gave up, so it sat in limbo for about 6month. Turns out towing a 6x4 trailer full of road base wreaks havoc on the gearbox's input shaft bearing. Even though it was a couple of years ago, it likely initiated the eventual failure. These little cars don't utilise a spigot in the back of the crank, so total drive load literally e…

Hey friends, Looking to see what offers are made for my 2Door 1975 KE30 Corolla The car has been sitting in the garage for quite a few years now as I planned to have it restored. Unfortunately, I have not gotten around to it and am now considering selling if I receive a reasonable offer. The photos in this ad are old however the condition of the car is still similar to the photos. There is a couple of rust spots that need attention and a dent to the body that can all be resolved with the know-how. All in all condition of the car is really quite good. The engine was running great and did not have any issues when I was driving it a few years ago but it has sat aro…

  11. Hello everyone! Even though this forum is primarily focused on Australia and New Zealand, I wanted to join to exchange knowledge and possibly find some of the (here in Switzerland) really rare parts. After growing up in the Camry that I still drive, I got infected with the Toyota-virus and have kept adding Toyotas to my garage. I'm at four cars now (pics below), and will probably only stop buying old Toyotas due to space constraints. Cars in order of acquisition. 1992 Camry, 2.2L 5S-FE automatic. Pretty basic, but has a nice cloth interior and I use it as my daily. 1984 Sprinter Trueno, 1.6L 4A-GE manual, 2-door, JDM import. Basically mint now, s…

Story time! This is my 1988 Toyota Corolla SR5 AE95 4WD. I went on the hunt for one of these in July 2021. Looked for about 6 months and only found 3 in that time. 2 were full of rust which I wasn't interested in taking on. This one popped up with a issue where it wouldn't go into gear. (manual) Owner wasn't sure if it was a gearbox or clutch issue. The car had a lot of work done by the previous owner so I decided to jump on it. Ended up paying $1400aud site unseen as the car was 700km away from me. Paid another 700 to get the car to me. Car arrived in my possession October 2nd 2021. Overall very happy with the purchase! Diagnosed it as being the clutch due to being able …

So I have finally started on the restoration project for an 1974 Corolla ke26 wagon. He is affectionately called Kevin. Anyone please feel free to ask questions and I'll try to answer then as best I can. But I have started stripping the basic panels from the car. They have been acid dipped and coated in kephos to keep the rust at bay for now.

So I went and did a thing the other day. Barring a KE10, we have now completed ownership of every single odd-numbered Corolla generation (3, 5, 7, 11 and now finally 9), and in some ways the fact that my pending existence caused my mother to have to sell her KE10 is kinda poetic (and ironic). So, meet Marvin - both after Marvin the Paranoid Android from HHGTTG (the movie remake unfortunately, since the BBC miniseries version was silver rather than white), and Lee Marvin from the classic Western musical Paint Your Wagon (I was just stretching for any name connected to the word "wagon" really). Pertinent details …

G'day everyone, New to the forum and thought id share my KE70 that I inherited from my Wifes late Aunty. She purchased it brand new from the local Toyota dealer and daily drove it during the 80's and 90's. Towards the end of her driving career she had a few accidents in it and gave up her license 10yrs ago. It sat in her garage up until I was lucky enough to be given it. I've owned it for 3yrs and daily drove it for 12months before parking it up and forgetting about it. After a couple years of not using it, it got a little neglected and the usual rust etc has got worse and its time to give it some TLC. I'll keep this thread updated when I do more work to it …

Hi guys and girls, thought I would post up my new project that I have been planning for quite a while. Have had the 4AGE donor car for over a year now but have been searching for the perfect car to chuck all the good bits into! So here is the one I found. I am the 3rd owner, 157,xxxkms on the clock. Paint is near perfect apart from fade on the roof which will be being resprayed factory colour. Jacked it up to have a look underneath and found NO RUST! So before I pulled the 4AGE out I decided to comp test it, in which, no joke it lost compression on cylinders 1-3 while I was testing it.... All had 30psi except cyl 4 which had 140psi. So plan is to rebuild it, I pulled the …

For the passed 5 years I have dailyd my 36 wags. Was long overdue for some love but between living out of home and working full time it never quite got the love it deserved. Thanks to COVID I didn’t have to worry about either of those things. So, here’s a pretty comprehensive list of all the work I’ve done over the passed couple of months. Only a couple things left to do to the rear springs then I’m sorted. Note I’m not a mechanic at all, just a hobby. Had to pop her in for a rust quote the other day. Hopefully it doesn’t stop my heart. Thanks! 08/04/2020 - new leads - new spark plugs - new spark plug seals - new rotor - new coil …

This one cost me $750 and had no rear muffler and a smashed windscreen, which is getting fixed Thursday, but even the few drives I've had in it have me smiling and wanting to get it back to its best. The body is rough with a few dents and scrapes etc but there is no rust to speak of and it's mechanically great at this point. Been keeping an eye out on Gumtree etc and one popped up recently close to me. 1998 ST215. Manual.... Yes it's actually a manual!! About 200k km but still in really good condition. Couple of mods - HKS exhaust, HKS turbo timer (pre import mods), auto metre boost guage, Turbosmart BOV (which sounds a bit loose and fluffy for my liking) and genuine TRD front bumper. Which to be honest I don't really like that much. There's one little part of it that makes me think it looks like the …

Hey all, this is my 1978 TE51 Corolla SR5. I Bought her from a college student in 2012 as a running project. I drove her for a few years and then I parked her about 2 years ago to begin restoring her. She’s was in fair shape, the kid had used her as a shop class project and threw a hilarious paint job on it. Dark blue metallic with baby blue metallic flames from the front to mid Hood and a set of racing stripes on the roof and hatch. She was an ugly old pig and my dad made the joke “that cars so ugly it can’t be a girl” so I called my old Corolla, “Gary” Once I began tearing to down for rebuild I decided she could once again be referred to as a girl again since the sweet …

Hey guys bought this Corolla for cheap due to it having a blown head gasket so this is the journey so far, cleaning it up and replacing everything on the motor. When I first got it. As you can see she was pretty rough. The plan is to do a budget street cred build. But I want it to be mechanically A1 first. Painted it in primer for the time being. This model came stock with 2 small speakers under the dash and thats it. So I thought about it and decided to run all new wires to the doors so I could run 6.5s all round. Alot of work as you can see seeing as there were no holes in the doors or body so I had to do it all my self. Ran all the wiring th…

Hey, Mark here from NZ. I have a new project which i thought would interest some rolla people. A bit of back story... So i've had a ke70 1.3 SR coupe (jdm fastback 4k auto, 6" diff) since 2001 which was a daily + drift hack for many years running a 3tgte, w57 and kaaz 7.5" 2way in it's final guise (2013). Probably have seen that on the interwebs via club-k or garage3tc/3tcgarage and other forums or my website toycrazy.net and youtube user toycrazynz. It has succumbed to cancer finally because it wasn't always garaged (my bad). rust in the seams, sills, not alot holding the rear 1/4's and tail gate on. So I'm re shelling it. The last few years i've been busy wi…

Ke1x wagon is pretty much my dream car, and was a bit saddened when my current one (build thread on here) is too rusty to do much with... Now this one is not perfect, But it's pretty bloody good. Rust is minimal to none just some damage and bad paint to deal with. Luckily i have a full donor front end as the one with it was junk..
