So I've decided to start a new build thread for an AE71 Spirit I picked up for a measly $800. It was a fair travel to Taradale, 50kms South of Bendigo, thanks to Evan G for giving me a hand picking it up. She is red in colour, exterior is in alright condition has some rust in the usual places, righthand rear arch, and the boot. The paint could do with a cut and polish some minor paint damage on the front left gaurd, rust is starting to develop. Planning to just sand it back and give it a touch up so it's barely noticeable. I Recently bought a good condition ke70 Panel Van off of Queen20v. Its a 1290 cc 4k-c with a 4sp manual. Its fun and easy to drive. Paint is in very good condition apart from under the petrol cap - This will be resprayed soon. Engine runs well but need to replace uni joints as there is a knock. I put some simmons V4's on it the other day but unfortunately they are too wide at the front. So i am on the lookout for some japanese rims. Where can i get a hold on some jap wheels? well for my birthday last year my dad got me a 1971 ke20 here are some pics of my first two stages of fixing it up i am 16 and hve done it all myself so far with a tad of help from my dad. the boot on it is screwed and all out of shape on the left when it was brought it has been reversed into a pole or something and had a huge dent in it. my dad got most of it out but its stil out of shape. does anyone know where i could maybe get a new one from.. preferably cheap. hey everyone. just thought i'd finally share that i have another ke36 now. a while ago i bought seabiscuits ke36 of him, just haven't bothered to upload anything onto here about it yet as the wagz is still in canberra. and i now live back in wodonga 4 hours away from canberra. so the car is currently staying at my cousins place in canberra and he is doing all the rust repairs for me and spraying the car. which is good as i can't bring the car down here untill i get my license back, which isnt for about another year and a half ;) anyways, just to make sure that i don't lose interest in it i thought i better post up on here about it, here's a link to seabiscuits thread …

I was meant to get an auto AE71 as the mrs car was going to be taken off the road for a freshen up but this came up cheap so I decided to get it and fix her car up over the xmas holidays. Basic run down: AE71 spirit, 281,000k's, full collection of log books (including the toyota phillips book) and receipts (last 10 years anyway. 4a & T50. 13 x 6 -0 4 spoke wheels (not sure if dragway or not as I haven't looked) aswell as 4 stockies. Cut springs as well as a spare stock set. Bunnings warehouse garden lip. Has rust around the rear end, broken tail light and a missing gutter strip as well as a torn base on the drivers seat. Hey guys, I picked up this beast a few weeks ago, she's a 1973 Corona, 4 speed manual with the 12R motor. When I bought her she was similar to these pictures, the paintwork was pretty neglected and dull but has come up nearly perfect with some love, I have also smashed some Whitewalls on and have just bought a new grill today (not yet fitted). She has 108xxx miles on her and is all original apart from being lowered, perfect interior and a sweet little thing to cruise in. Many would have seen i had my ke38 van for sale for a while,well time has come that eldest daughter has turned 16 yrs of age and will in the next 12 months or so,need a car. Hey all, just got my first car today, after about 9 months of searching for a good enough ke70 i found one. I'm 16, and this is my project car with dad. Stock and pretty much rust free, its a good start. :dance: Engine bay. Stock 4k-c Perfect interior. okay. so basically i ended up with this car because dad grabbed it up for his own use when his motor bike was stolen. then basically i bought it off him because he no longer had a use for it and i figured it was a good first car. when we got the car it looked pretty bad. the passenger side front quarter was black from when the previous owner ran into a pole and had to have it replaced. so we got out the old spray can and silvered it so that it wasnt as bad of an eye sore. so this is basically what it looked like before. and from that point basically there was alot that needed to be done. we got a new bonnet as the one on it was sort of caved in and all. and we de…

A few people already know, but I guess I should let the rest of the world know too :jamie: Just over a month ago, I made a snap-decision purchase to bid on this KE36 Panel Van on eBay and happened to have won it, so off I went on a 37 hour journey (with little sleep) to Melbourne to pickup this little gem. This is how it stands now: The front guards and apron are all dented up, so I've sourced some rust free panels and will be fitting them up and giving it a lick of paint and then it should be all systems go to get it ID checked and on the road. Hey all, picked up my new car today. Its a Corolla KE30 2 door. bought it for a little price, but worth it. bought off a member here, thanks nick :D :) bought as a rolling shell, so no motor, box, tailshaft radiator ect, and no interior, well there is a Crack free dash, and some door trims lol. Has NO rust, ive had a look meself, and the only rust is surface rust where paint has been chiped, or faded a bit. Few nice bits would be, i like the paint scheme, looks smick. Front brakes are RA40 ones out of a celica, new strut inserts and springs. Rear end has 7 leaf spring in a pack, with lowering blocks. Far as i know the grill and the passenger side mirro…

I started out with a 1975 KE30 that I intended to take out for the odd khanacross and maybe even rally one day, but it needed a lot of work and I couldn't quite bring myself to being comfortable with bending it. I figured it was probably going to be a little harder to find decent panels when I needed them, so I sold that and picked up something newer. And here she is, a 1984 KE70. Hi. Not really computer literate, but finally got some pics of my car. I drove it up and down my deadend road, a bit of fun! Driveline has a Gen 2 3sge from a MR2 SW20. w58 gearbox shortened tailshaft (corona-) RA23 t series diff, standard celica (yet do LSD). Suspension / brakes Coilovers front, revalved Koni's ST141 stuts, pueguot discs, hilux calipers extra leaf in rear, koni reds Hilux master cylinder, remote booster. a heap of custom bits for this conversion. Thanks to a couple of mates for helping with all this stuff (jonny rochester and aaron martin)

Back end looks much like OZ T18, maybe easiest to cut the whole arse off and weld on T18 metal? It says "LEVIN", I guess that means I'm O.K. to post on a corolla forum. :wink: Hatch is thankfully relatively rust free, otherwise I would be boned... We had a good year in2009 winning my class, [sports Sedan up to 1600cc] and my youngest son winning Junior Hill climb Champion, at our club [Gippsland Car Club]. i have finally acquired a car to work on. shes no beauty, but whats a project if it doesnt need a little work? plans are to do an engine conversion, convert to 5spd, respray and dress up and re-do the interior. it might take me a while to do but i love to tinker and i can't wait. i will probably start in the new year, once the christmas debts have cleared and the money starts to accrue again. i havent chosen a motor yet, I'm still deciding. had a few thoughts on colours (thinkin maybe a deep metallic red (not to burgundy though) probably off a current model new car). anyway, would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions. cheers! kate

I have always been a fan ok early Rollas and dfunkt swayed me even more when he started playing with his old 20, so it was only a matter of time before I found something to play wioth once more. After a chat to TE278U (thankyou cheif, bloody legend) I picked up one of his three ke11's he has (I think hes a ke1x man, hes still got 4 of them!) on Saturday and got to work today cleaning it up and throwing a set of rx7 wheels on it I picked up from dfunkts place and got it running.
