This is my thread which has now been copied over for a fifth time, so if it doesnt make sense that's why. I wanted a good all round package that has limited compramises, here's what I wanted to improve: power, torque, braking power, cornering ability, predictability, stereo, looks, reliability, rigidity all while still having enough room to still fit my bike in the back. Basicly I wanted a daily driver that equiped well enough to go on a circuit should I choose to. Also this has had the suspension tuned to eliminate oversteering, this is not for drifting! thought i might throw this up, its been 6 months in the build and is just about to get tuned. A few people already know, but I guess I should let the rest of the world know too :jamie: Just over a month ago, I made a snap-decision purchase to bid on this KE36 Panel Van on eBay and happened to have won it, so off I went on a 37 hour journey (with little sleep) to Melbourne to pickup this little gem. This is how it stands now: The front guards and apron are all dented up, so I've sourced some rust free panels and will be fitting them up and giving it a lick of paint and then it should be all systems go to get it ID checked and on the road. Hello everyone. Just invested in a new daily while I take the ae71 off the road. Its an ebay special, 90,000klm RA60 ST 2.4l 22RE Auto. It has air con and seems to be in immaculate condition. The auction has just ended and I'm anxiously waiting for the seller to contact me. I can't wait to go and look at it for the first time. I'm planning only a manual conversion and a full service for it. G'Day Rollas, This is my introduction and entry for my KE70 code name 'Swift'. This baby is my first car and I absolutely love her! The car has been in our family for 30 years, most of which it's been in a garage for 20 of them and is still in pretty much perfect condition. The plans are pretty simple; Sand it back and fix all the rust and total open door respray (not certain on what colour yet, any ideas?) Worked 4k/5k. Specs will be, Knife edge crank, bored 60thou, 12.8 to 1 compresion ratio, custom grind cam, smallport head, (they make more power) 350 holley, custom made extractors with 2'' straight through with a spintek muffler and a lightened fly wheel. Well I saw a deal that I couldn't pass. My wife spotted a 1974 corolla on Craigslist and the posting was recent. Due to how hard these are to find, I jumped on it and called the guy. It was in a tow yard, and had been sitting there for 8-10 years. It was stored indoors for most the time. I told the guy I wanted it and would see him in driving time (3 1/2 hours). The seller had pulled the tank, dumped the old gas, cleaned and put about 2 gallons of new gas in it. He charged the battery that was in it, and it fired right up. Yes another thread by me. But as the topic says I'm building a V6 commodore powered rolla that seems to be popular on these forums lately. This is my old rolla i sold to another member so I'm going to recycle the photos as the new one i bought is the same. Yes thats right it red and has the same white stripe down the side.It is a twin, just doesnt have the hub caps. But i will take some of my own soon. Now i bought this today its a manual car, but no gearbox :P but has all the other mechanical parts. So ill be pulling out the motor, wiring, ECU and everything else that can come off this thing.

She looked rather straight and upon inspection I could not find any significant rust spots so I organised for the sellers dad (a tow truck driver) to drop her off at my door and handed over the money. Ok, this isnt another 'I'm thinking of going down this path' thread.. Basicly, iv got a 84 rolla (I think its a KE71) and I plan to strip it to bits and track it. I'm going to strip pretty much everything, aside from the drive-train. I'm going to turbo-charge the stock motor and use that untill it dies. This isnt a daily drive, so it can sit around for as long as I need :) Just wanted a few pointers for the build in certain areas.. Hi all. Picked up this KE70 from a mate recently to get onto the track with. I was 3/4 of the way through prepping a VT commodore for circuit duties but the costs were starting to get hefty. I planned on converting all the suspension arms on that to rose joint and costs were just blowing out, even with DIY every thing. Nancy '81 KE70 Auto Flat Front. Ex-Rental from Ace Car rentals Picked her up last year some time. Was really into the 4age conversions and i wanted to do it badly. Driveline has a Gen 2 3sge from a MR2 SW20. w58 gearbox shortened tailshaft (corona-) RA23 t series diff, standard celica (yet do LSD). Suspension / brakes Coilovers front, revalved Koni's ST141 stuts, pueguot discs, hilux calipers extra leaf in rear, koni reds Hilux master cylinder, remote booster. a heap of custom bits for this conversion.
